Campsite Scheduling

How many days, before your arrival at FW, are the campsites assigned? I will be arriving Sunday afternoon and am wondering if there is a way to find out, before I get there.

They do not let you know your site number until you arrive. This is just in case they have to make changes or unexpectedly close a loop.

I'm not sure there is a specific number of days in advance, but it seems like most assignments aren't made until the day before. Like Proud Mom said, they won't let you know your site until it is ready. This can work to your advantage though. If you arrive early, before most sites are ready and texts haven't gone out, at check-in, you can request a specific loop or even site. They can check to see if the ask is available. I'll also ask for anything that is currently ready that I fit on, regardless of what the system assigned me.

We normally leave very early in the morning on check out day to make the 1000 mile drive back home, but a number of years ago we were going over to Gulf State Park the following week. We decided to leave mid-morning. As we were hooking up, someone in a golf cart was sitting on the road watching. I asked them if they needed anything and they said they were just waiting for me to leave since that was their site. This was still when CMs would not tell you your site until it was ready. I figured the person had made a specific site request and I was on it. It didn't bother me and didn't make me leave any faster, but I thought it was a little strange.
