Just put our turkey in the oven about 15 minutes ago, we like to eat early because we have a family tradition of going to see a movie later in the afternoon, this year we are going to see "Enchanted."

I wanted to stop by and say:

I thought I'd share a few pictures from the Macy's thanksgiving parade this morning -- our weather was incredibly warm and pleasant! We usually freeze watching it, but not this year. It was great.

I was watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade from Philadelphia this morning, that parade has all the Disney characters singing and dancing..............

I was watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade from Philadelphia this morning, that parade has all the Disney characters singing and dancing..............

That does sound cool, Andy -- I love to watch the Christmas Disney show on TV on Christmas morning after we've opened all the presents. We put on the famous "Yule Log" while opening presents -- one TV station here has just a videotape of a crackling fire while playing Christmas carols in the background and as crazy as it sounds, it's just the thing for opening presents! Then by the time we are done with all that the Disney parade comes on.

It's all starting now -- such a magical time of the year and I think the time of the year that NYC shows itself off the best.

birthday...ha! back in my day, my wish was to start slowing down...
next thing i know, we were pregnant ..again...[wife fault]....& boy~
ohhh girl...we were in it. & our middle son...didn't take
to giving up ...the desired..baby position...

..dear ladies posters, fyi.....crash was the one who e-mail with the
male chauvinst pig..comment. [ i know, normal for him...


disney junk....do you guys do anything with all the junk you collected
from your cruises? is it amazing..the stuff they put out there?

* the one thing..we do miss...are those nice beach towels....

budwiser hot seat..., iam turning it over to the crasher...

A few more people have been added to our list of *guests* today! We can't wait! Everyone should start arriving in about an hour....

I still can't keep up with this thread -- I am able to read on average about 5 pages a week...... That is not even going to make a dent!

Since I was last here we've had a Confirmation (16dd), a wedding (in Cancun, 24dd) and two of our chidlren (16dd & 9ds) were in a community theater production -- Charlotte's Web. 9ds was Wilber. When the kids are in a show it takes up hours of our time everyday. And they are auditioning for another show this Mon - Wed.

Cheryl/John check our other thread for lots of pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving Friends!

Hope everyone's day is going great. We are eating a late dinner, but I wanted fresh pies so I baked them today. Now the smell is really getting to me, I don't know if I can hold out until after the turkey!

Morning... I was up at 4:45 am to wait in line at Miers ( sp) for a zune for Eric... but they sold out before it was my turn... did some last minute grocery shopping and then came home and ordered it online at TRUS for the same price..

well off to cooking and baking.. Have a happy Thanksgiving..

Glad you got what you wanted. We have Meijer stores too and the fine print said they didn't have that many on hand. I'm going to Micheals tomorrow at 6am to get a Cricut die cut machine. Scoped it out last night they have 8!

Well gotta go, and check the turkey. It's heating up in the oven, got a fully cooked turkey dinner from Meijers for the price I counldn't pass up trying it!

I have a semi-pirate Thanksgiving. My mince meat pie has Brandy and Rum in it! Eatting Rum is just as good as drinking it!

Got back from seeing Enchanted a few minutes ago. All three of us enjoyed it, there were a few dark moments that little children could be scared of, but all in all, it was enjoyable. And yes, sappy old me, even got choked-up and misty-eyed in a few spots.


BTW LG, my nickname growing up is also my user name on the CC Board. Have any guesses what it might be??? I had signed up on the CC Board first, a link from that site sent me to the DISboards. Luckily, I changed my user name before signing up on this site!!!

I'll give you a little hint.........the last part of my nickname, is a person's last name in a very popular movie title. Now that shouldn't be too hard to figure out............

Hope you get the Cricut. I love mine. I have had it for over a year. Got it for my birthday last year. You have to get one of the Disney cartridges. I have the Disny font and the first character one. I use it all the time. Wal Mart has it on sale for $119 with 2 cartridges tomorrow. I am headed to JoAnn's Saturday for their sale. Enjoy your shopping.

Oh - and Paula... that Digital Photo frame - does it accept memory cards? I saw one digital frame somewhere in the Friday ads which was limited to internal memory only. I'm not sure that would satisfy me - depending on the memory capacity. AND - I got a nice sized digital frame last year from Alicia - but it is painfully slow to render large file sizes - forcing me to resize everything I load in. It's been a bit of an inconvenience to set up - but when it's running I get all the fun of viewing the images without the hassels of viewing images otherwise.

Tom, I ordered one from Best Buy today 9" that takes a memory card. I thought that would be easier on my Nana's eyes. I'll have to play with it when it arrives and see how it works. I bought an extra card so I could change out pictures for her easily.
