We're able to keep the original price for Sat.($67.20) but because I've waited, it went up to $99.50 +/- for Friday but that's alright.

Oh no... sorry. :(
I purposely booked extra days before the cruise for this reason. I knew I'd end up wanting to go to DL more days. LOL I'm glad they still had an opening for you- even though it cost a little extra.

I did the same thing. When I called, I only booked for 3 or 4 nights. After making a list of all the things we wanted to do, I called back and booked the whole week.

We'd like to do DL and WDW too, but don't know if DH can take all that extra time off...I think I would be happy with just DL if I had to choose, since we have only been there once before. Probably 2 days at the GC using DVC points.

I went to my step brother's wife's funeral this morning. We did not know her very well, except that her and my brother are both drunks. She passed away on the 7th of Psorosis, she was 46 but looked like 76. An "old" friend of hers got up to read an open letter to her and talked about how they rode around with her uncle, at 15, getting drunk and smoking pot and how much fun they had. And then the final song that was played was one I'd never heard of,by Brad Paisley and Alisson Krauss called "Whiskey Lullaby". All I could do was shake my head,:sad2: it felt like I was in the middle of some low budget "black" comedy. My step brother was clearly wasted. How do you respond to something like that?

Thank you,

IF

It came to the UK, the only place to accomodate it would be Southampton. Yes there are other ports but to go to Northern Europe from USA its ideal.

I was wondering what is considered Northern Europe. Was the CC gift a passport holder or am I wrong.
Again great pics

:thumbsup2 I figured that's what you were saying. :)

I'll have to find my paperwork on this.. somewhere. But I think I booked like 3-4 days ahead of time... instead of just the day before. I don't know about an entire week. It'd probably be fun but too many days for Jeff to take off work.

I would LOVE to do WDW on this trip too but
A) no way we can do that- the kids might already be missing some school as it is. We'll be rushing back fast as we can after the cruise and
B) I'm not keen on the idea of WDW AFTER a cruise in the first place... before is great, I don't want to do it afterwards.

but we still haven't rode the new ride in AK! (it wasn't open yet when we did the last cruise last May) :(

I was wondering the same thing! (wondering what it is) I think I forgot to comment on it even though I quoted the post w/picture previously. LOL

We all pretty much gave up on him. When he'd call it was,I'm drunk,I'm in jail, woe is me. Before his wife, he had a "girlfriend" who got mad and stabbed him 17 times with a buck knife. He wouldn't press charges because she had kids and didn't want her to go to jail. That was 8-9 years ago and that was also the last time we/I saw him. :sad2:

Debi. I didn't think it would get worse. That is really a sad waste.:sad1:

From somebody who has been clean and sober for 19 years, they have other options. Only problem is they have to want it more than the high. Doesn't sound like he has lost enough yet. There is a saying around the 12 step tables that our choice is Death, Jail or Sobrity. I choose Sobrity. I am sorry that you had to endure that and that he continues to life like that. I never want to go back. Lois

Wow Lois, that is wonderful that you changed your life!:goodvibes

Thank you Lois ;) I'm very, very happy for you!! We've tried, but we also know that he has to do it himself. He went to an AA meeting one time, all he sais was "All they do is preach God to ya" and he never went back. He's somehow managed to keep the same job for 30 yrs (he works on an Air Force Base). They've offered to put him through treatment many times, he just hasn't gotten to that point yet. And it's sad to say, but we've pretty much all washed our hands of him. It's his choice, not ours and we can't make him do it. :confused3

Here he is (with me and my Dad) Believe it or not,he's only 46 yrs. old.

By thanking God that 1) its not you and 2) you know enough to see what's wrong in this picture. Probably saddest that they just don't get it. For you... :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks, You know I just don't miss it any more but I remember everyday "But for the grace of God there go I" I only have today and I will make the best of it. That is all I can hope for everyone else. I believe that I should live each day as if it might be my last. Never know what will happen and I really want others to remember the positive I have offered not words I have said in anger. Enough said got to get back to watch TV with my spouse. Lois

You can see he is so happy!!!!!

I had noticed that your kids were uniformly jolly. :rotfl2: At least they're having fun.

I went to my step brother's wife's funeral this morning. ... How do you respond to something like that?

By being there when you have other options. By supporting him if he ever does make the choice to get better. :grouphug: Sounds like you could use a hug. :grouphug:

he had a "girlfriend" who got mad and stabbed him 17 times with a buck knife.
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
I think the scariest part about that is that he thought it would be OK to leave someone like that with kids.

Sara, that's exactly what we thought. The police wanted to file Attempted Murder against her but he wouldn't press charges. Her brother was passed out drunk on the couch while it happened. They were fighting over who got the last beer in the fridge. And now,his step son is married to this woman's daughter. I kid you not!

Anyways, didn't mean to bring everyone down. So on to happier things.
How was your day? ;)
Thought I would post a pic of one of my favorite "sayings". It is soo true!

They were good weren't they! My kids can make some good smores, y'all.

I have no idea how to just get in from here. I am logged in here all the time. Oh there is a chat button up there- that takes us right to it? Well why do people always put links? I thought we had to go by the link and I eventually put the chat room on favorites after hunting down a link a few times. Maybe that's why it makes me log in.
LOL
What I can't figure out is how people just make up whatever names they want in chat- I can't do that! It will only let me in with my username here AND password. I can't just go in there willy nilly as any name I want. LOL

Just hit the chat button next week!!! :rolleyes1 I do not know how to use other names but I know what it was like when the Dis Board did not recognize my name. :sad1: The Dis board took a whole day for the board to give me a new password.:sad2: I am not going to fool with what is working!!!:rotfl: I hated being Dised.... Out.:lmao:

Thank you for all the comments I think everyone who was able to come to the Med had a wonderful time and it exceeded everyones expectations.

I have told my kids about Palo's and they asked the head server if she could arrange for the Chocolate soufflé to be presented Palo's style in Animators and she obliged, then later on afternoon tea my kids looked in we were next to the windows and the server said go to the front door and she gave them a lot of cakes!

That is why we keep coming back to DCL for more. :goodvibes It is all about those special moments.:flower3:

The only cure to PCD..............

Put in another quote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

That is the solution to all my problems!!! I just want to be a forever cruiser.:woohoo:

It was 64 for a high here yesterday - downright COLD!!! Today is pitcure perfect and I have to finish painting ceilings. I hate painting ceilings - UGH

That happened to me TWICE, except in my case DD left the freezer door open in the basement. Second time she did it she had quite the punishment handed down. I don't think it will happen again :rolleyes1

I don't know how you can post under one name onthe thread and another in chat either - I asked last week in chat but must be a closely guarded secret:goodvibes

I do not know the secret either but I do not want to fool the Dis Mother Nature!!!!:lmao: :lmao: Get it( don't fool with mother nature).

Try climbing 412 steps of Pisa after eating them!

Once you made it up the 412 steps.....all you need to roll down the 412 steps after eating all those yummy little puffs.

Lois that was really nice of you to share!!!:flower3: With your attitude....you will never go back!!!

Hope you are still planning the meet on September 3 at Earl's.

This will be us next year when we celebrate are 40th anniversary. :rolleyes1 I thought this was funny. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :dance3:

A man and his wife, now in their 60's, were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. On their special day a good fairy came to them and said that because they had been so good that each one of them could have one wish.

The wife wished for a trip around the world with her husband.

Whoosh! Immediately she had airline/cruise tickets in her hands.

The man wished for a female companion 30 years younger...

Whoosh...immediately he turned 90!!!

Gotta love that fairy!
