OK, I dare ya!;) I am sure I can find someone here to double dare you.
You simply cannot turn down a double dare. :lmao:

Hey JR...

... I think this is more then a dare or double dare offer from M-Mom ... looking at the tag fairy remarks I would consider this a deal you cannot refuse....

kitten%20stick-up.jpg

Don't be surprised if ya find a horse head in bed with you some time soon... and ya just might wanna consider doing as M-Mom sez. I don't suppose the "M" in M&M stands of Mafia with one M and ???? Malicious with the preceeding "M"??

OK... I gotta run now to get to the Regan Library - and get movin' before my dear sweet spouse catches me DIS posting instead of getting ready to go.... (sneak-sneak-sneakin' off now)....

Good afternoon

After ketchup I now feel guilty for not being a "frequent poster" (maybe a frequent poster scheme should be set up a bit like airmiles!). The reason most the time is I haven't a clue what you are all going on about!!! It may all be English, but the use of the language & general terminology often mean you may as well be talking a completely different language, e.g. last year I had to ask what an uncrustable is!!! Anyway, the sun is currently out in soggy England & Hermione (DD aged 2) is throwing yet another toddler tantrum because Mickey Mouse has finished on playhouse Disney - how do you deal with the addiction in a 2 year old?

I hope I am included *in the loop* once again! LOL!

Welcome to back to the "loop" Stephanie. May I suggest though - should anyone attempt to stalk one of our friends "in the loop" (or out of it) that we'll send all the evil twins and the creepy stalking animation I ocassionally post after the would be stalker. NAWWw.... as that would turn the evil twins (and creapy sneaky animation poster) into stalkers in turn! OK... we'll have to come up with something more conventional Stephanie - as I think this would involve hooking up Lisa with any suspects. And I have the utmost confidence in Lisa (plus her colleaugues) in helping out!

That said - come might be musing - what am I doing here when I should be getting ready for the R-Libaray - ooopss... spouse is asking what I'm doing.... gotta sneak off now.

HAPPY JULY 4TH!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Thank you to all our servicemen who are serving our country!

Those who are celebrating with picnics, get togethers and fireworks, have fun.

Tonite at Colonial Williamsburg we are having our annual fireworks exstravagana. We are packing a dinner and going down early to get a good spot to enjoy all the festivites. Ususally we get about 40,000 people down here this week.

Have a Happy 4th!!!

Karen

Wow I bet that must be a blast! They must have really great fireworks in Williamsburg. I am bummed I missed ours last night. They lit a few off, but ran into problems so we waited & waited & finally a family passed us & said they were cancelling them & having them the next night so we left. We arrived home & I was letting the dog out & I could hear the booms in the distance. I was so disappointed, but I figure we'll be in WDW in 4 weeks & then we can see all the fireworks we want! :yay:

Just ask if there is a reference you don't understand . . . as for playhouse Disney addiction in a 2 year old, good luck with that! It's hard to get the genie back into the bottle once they've discovered the joys of TV!

Phew good! I am the middle child after all, so always wanting to keep the peace & not hurt anyone's feelings!

If you want to post a smiley just click on any of the smilies on the box to the right of the message box & they will appear. pirate:

As far as posting images...well Crash taught me so you'll have to refer to his expertise when he gets back from his trip!

I still haven't figured it out either. My DS set me up with an account and showed me how to set up a pic but DUH. Hopefully I will read Toms tutorial and fare a bit better.

Wishing everyone a Happy, Healthy and Safe 4th of July!!!

Welcome to back to the "loop" Stephanie. .

Thanks! I will try to read for at least 10mins everyday! LOL!

Hindsight is great! I now wish I had forwarded the PM's and even some of the posts to a moderater. he would have been stopped sooner -- I was choosing to ignore most of it!

[That said - come might be musing - what am I doing here when I should be getting ready for the R-Libaray - ooopss... spouse is asking what I'm doing.... gotta sneak off now.

Have a great time!

 Arlene--actually, I have been up since about 3:30am. I have a bad case of poison ivy  that I caught at work the other day. Aveno is helping with the itching, but I was very uncomfortable trying to sleep last night. I did get in a 15 minute nap around 8:30 this morning..................:)

Diane......we might be heading into Boston for tonite's fireworks. We're hoping they are not cancelled - they are saying some bad storms should be coming in.

It's getting really cloudy, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I haven't gone into Boston on the 4th in years. My DH usually ends up working & I hate to go in with just the kids. I know the fireworks are "wicked awesome" so I hope they go off! :wizard:

What a beautiful poem for a beautiful daughter!!!:goodvibes You are one proud father and you should be!!!!:yay: Tell Angelina congrats on the two jobs!!! :thumbsup2

Andy so sorry you've got poison ivy! Have some molten lava cake. It cures everything!

Heh-hee-heh!

Karen... forgive me for quoting and RESIZING your posting - to save on space. Our family is gonna meet up with another family to visit the Regan Libary this morning - as they have extensive day time 4th of July activities. Then later tonight we're just hanging out at the local Jans Mall to watch fireworks. They have a multi-story parking structure which is retasked as an observation platform for the firewoorks tonight. If we go early enough we'll get wrist bands to enter as they limit the number of people up there! Then afterwards we're doning Bucca de Peppa - (or Puka-de-uppa as some have quipped)... as our friends have a coupon they want-a use.

Ok ... enuf of that now... good nite all!

Thanks Crash for fixing my reply. It must have been the espresso I just finished that made this happen!! I bought a new Espresso machine and I am still learning how to use it. I just can't justify going to Starbucks every day and spending at least $30.00 a week. So I figure after a year I will have saved $1,300.00(this includes the price of the machine and espresso beans). So this gives me more spending money for TOAL!!!!

It sounds like you had a great trip.

Talk to you later!!!

Karen

....."wicked awesome" - :rotfl:

My brother (who I'm meeting on the pike for the ride in) lives in Lancaster, MA and he says the wind is already starting to pick up. I used to go in every year, but it just started getting too crowded for the Esplanade. When I now go in I watch on the Cambridge side. Much easier to get out from there. Right now they are saying they are on unless there is thunder/lightning - UGH!!

I just thought of something. MR has her annual 4th of July bash. Did any of us get an invitation????:confused3 I hope she gets to chat Friday and I will definitely ask her!!! I hope she doesn't wear out the blender!!!!:rotfl2:

Youch!!!
And I go crazy with my occasional ezema. I remember my friends putting white gloves on their kids when they got Chicken Pox so they wouldn't scratch so hard. So Sorry!!!!!:sad1:

I hope the fireworks in Boston are able to go on . . . my youngest daughter is in Boston visiting my sister and I know they planned to see them . . . I know we are likely to have t-storms right at the start of the Macy's fireworks but I was hoping the weather would hold for Boston.

In regards to those "lurking", I learned a valuable lesson on our last cruise, that I'd like to share. I joined the DIS group to share my excitement and learn more before taking our first cruise. I had NO INTENTION of actually meeting any of these people once onboard. As I got to know them, I realized how much I enjoyed conversation with them. I later decided I would meet them to satisfy my curiousity of what they looked like in person, but that would be the end of it. The majority of our group met in the terminal before boarding. As I walked around talking "in person" to people I had talked to the entire year prior online, I felt as though they were already old friends. I was shocked to find myself making plans with them for the coming week. As it turned out, we spent the vast majority of our time onboard and in port with fellow DISers. These people enhanced our cruise experience more than I can describe, and I consider them to be life long friends. We continue to stay in contact, and visited a couple. We also hope to vacation together again in the future. We would have missed out on so much if we had not taken part in the group online.

I share this in the hopes it will encourage those who are "on the fence" as to whether or not they should participate. Please jump in....you won't regret it!

I totally agree with your sentiments!!! I went on my first cruise and had a great time.

I discovered the Dis Board for my second cruise(10 Wonder).I really met some great people on my second cruise!!! I consider some of these people friends for life!!! Isn't that right Step 5 and Diapp?????:confused3 I felt like I was part of a huge family and help was only a Dis person away!!:yay:

Wow, I must really be naive, I have missed all of this behind the scenes stuff! I know sometimes I feel "unworthy" of posting, so I just "lurk." I am not clever like some, or wise like others; I'm not one of the cool kids, and I figure most of you have more exciting lives than me so I don't have much to talk about! But I do try to check in at least twice a day (my boys call this my cult) and I post a quick note about those cute pics and hard times and good times. I even tried a Friday night chat once (even with my terrible typing skills!). But now I feel funny, as if I am not doing enough to be a part of the group.

I am not very clever or wise. I don't have the knowlege of computers(JR ,TOM, AND TOM) or the humor and wit of others. I am also one of the OLD kids but I always felt welcome by all. Try chat again. It took me weeks to learn what to do.:rotfl2: I have not met one person on this board not willing to help or answer a question. Of course we all state our opinions!!!:scared1:

OK... I'm taking the plunge...you've convinced me that this is a good thing & will make our trip even better than it's going to be. I admit i've been checking in whenever I get a chance... You all sound like you're a fun group & I look forward to actually meeting you on the cruise. This is my son's and my TOAL! :cool1: We've been trying to go on a cruise for a couple of years & finally we're able to make it! Never been on a cruise... but have been to WDW many, many times & DL a couple of times. You could say we're Disney geeks.... but that's a good thing. I'll check in again soon!
Thanks for making me get off my keyboard & jump!:goodvibes
Penny

I am soo glad you took the plunge!!!! The water is perfect once you are in for awhile!!!:welcome: :welcome: :yay: :woohoo:

Thanks, that was nice of you! I know the "lurking" was not directed at me, but it sure got me feeling weird about this board.

BTW, I love you graphics! We used to have neighbors who were big Ohio State fans. They finally moved back to Ohio after both of their daughters went to college there!

No one really lurks. I think it does sound like a nasty word.. Sometimes we are just lookers and trying to learn. Everyone has their own comfort zone. None of us mean to cross it. We would just like everyone to feel all our welcome here.:grouphug:
