I totally agree Stace! So, let's just all agree the Brainiacs are all really, really, really, really smart. They are all equally as smart as one another, and they are smarter than each and every one of us "regular" peeps! They win! Now back to our regularly scheduled DISsing! Thank you!

Well MR I'm with you. It's good to be a regular peep, especially when one of your regular peep pals has a great sense of humor and a cool battery operated blender.

Sometimes it's better to be fun and well-equipped than be a super genius!!!

And YES... we did see yer DH and 2 DSs. However.... it was really fleeting... <chuckles>.... did your family spot us? We had the kids on our shoulders and were the folks in mild shock but smiling by the mock wrestlers!

I KNEW those people in the picture looked familiar. Too bad I dumped them all. :rotfl: You think this counts as a mini-meet? How about a mini- no meet?

Yes, but only if you know pi to at least 8 decimal places

Oh Man! There you go stealing my thunder.

I'm quite sure you meant to say DS10's new summer doo, didn't you? And yes, I do think it makes him look younger in the second photo.

A-hem. Yes. Well. I have been accused of robbing the cradle.

I put in a suggestionto put dimmers on the flourescents. It's not that we don't like the light, it's too bright. There are 3 small tubes in each fixture and most of the ones that complain are of my age group. A few suffer from migraines and if we could dim the lights everyone would be happy. including me.

In our office they took out 2/3 of the bulbs (three bulb ballasts) during the energy shortage a few years back. Everyone got used to it, so they never put them back. If you need more light everyone has a desk lamp. I rather like it.

Three minutes to do 123 posts? What clock are you using?

One with 1640 seconds to the minute? Wonder what planet they're on.

Forget about the grass. I don't mow the lawn. I've never pushed a lawnmower. I can fix a leaky faucet, change the oil in my car, I am the queen of hanging ceiling fans (12 and counting), I can even hang drywall, but I do not cut the grass.

That's what sons are for. Ours cut the grass last weekend by himself (no help starting the mower) for the first time. He's getting so big...

Junior high stuff!
Let's do something practical:

Define the perigee/apogee ellipsoid field which has an inclination angle (i) of 2pi

Use Kepler if you like

Copying from Space Mission Analysis and Design by Larson?? At first glance DH thought it might be Bate, Mueller, and White - but when he pulled the book off the shelf he decided it was SMAD instead. Though he does say that the notes on Kepler are fundamental and are missing some higher order effects.

It is occassionally handy to have a rocket scientist in the house. It's why I keep him. ;)

Sadly, this post was the first one he found truly interesting. :headache:

By the way - if you understood that first paragraph - he's got some jokes he'd like to share with you about semi-latus ... on the cruise.

Oops. One more ketchup...

Just make sure you come home with the same number of kids you left with.

Doesn't really matter if they are the same kids -- just make sure the count is right.

When my brother was in preschool he went on a field trip to the zoo with his class. He wandered off and joined another group of preschoolers. They got on the bus, so he did too. When the teacher counted them up she came up with one EXTRA!!! :lmao: It took a little while to sort out who the extra was - though apparently the kids all knew he wasn't one of "them". They got him to Security where his preschool teacher was much relieved to have the minister's kid restored. Oh, did I mention this was a church preschool??? Knowing my dad, he got several sermons out of it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:wave2: Mary - how was WICKED? Was thinking of you all day today and told myself I needed to ask you how things went?

Hi Laura!!:wave2: The tickets were my Mother's Day gift, but we haven't gone yet. We are actually going in a few weeks. My MIL, SIL, Niece, DD and I are all going together for a girl's day! I can't wait. I will give you the update after we go.

(We been having too much brain sweat for my out of shape noggin.)

Yup - thought about you first thing this morning and then tonight DD tells DH that she wants to go again. This is how the conversation went:

DH: But you've already seen it.
DD: BUT YOU HAVEN'T! Besides, its good enough to be seen 3 times.
DH: but I only have to see it once right?

DD didn't answer him - just looked out the window and did this: :rolleyes1

I love this one! :rotfl:

I agree with you on the last one - this is what I look like after too much math -

I say we ask for a Math Alert - that is what Capt Crash used to do just before he broke out his famous calculations. This way I was ok to skip and go on to another post.

:wave2: all. DH talked me into joining the ranks. :confused3 Was at the Disney store today and saw an Elizabeth Swan outfit (Asian one) for girls for $50. Plus the shoes and the headress...... It was beautiful, has anyone else seen it? My DD6 Austyn would make a beautiful Elizabeth.

We too are looking forward to Wicked in August. Decided to do the just before school event for the kids before school starts. DD12 was in this production at her school last year and both kids have the music memorized.

Someone caught it! :teeth:

Well I had to post something I could find in a pinch...I could post some of the stuff I have access to but (a) you couldn't see it behind our firewalls (b) if you could, then you work for us and (most important) (c) if I did that I would go to prison and thus miss the TOAL. :headache: That is soooooo not going to happen!

So, Todd...how many times are you going to see the movie this weekend?

Depends really ....they want me to do pictures ...they are setting up a back drop ..something like Disney so who knows ...but I am sure at least 4 or 5 all the way through ......
