We spent 4 months in the NICU but we had absolutely incredible Nurses and Dr's thankfully. My 2nd half of my pregnancy was a disaster mostly caused by my idiot OB. He was supposed to be this incredible Dr. He delivered all the Dallas Cowboys wives, girlfriends, etc. Anyway, the fact that I have Megan now is a miracle because he certainly did not help the situation.

The NICU complete team was there when Megan was born and everything went like clockwork. Of all they did, the biggest was when a nurse happened to notice at 2:30am that she did not "look right". She got the Neonatalogist to order X-rays right then and they determined her intestines had burst. She could have EASILY died (all % say she should have) but the care she rcvd kept her alive and thriving. :thumbsup2

One of our dearest friends had a horrible pregnancy/NICU experience. I am so sorry that you had that experience.

Thanks  You can tell, we're not *over* it yet :)

Good one. I have to have a special brush too. I have kinda thick hair and there is only 1 brush that does not yank the crud out of it. I can only get it over the internet or 1 place in OK that I have found. The girls and I call it "The Magic Brush). My family is EXTREMELY follically challenged (you will know what I mean when you see my mom) and I am very paranoid it is just a matter of time before I lose it.

Wow I'm suprised you don't buy a case just in case!

Lucky! I could tell you stories of the NICU that would really scare you! Maybe for the next one, we'll go to TX! Seriously, we did take her to Chicago Children's Memorial a couple months ago!

FIL - is going to be released later on today. He has an infection -- intestininal -- and his ulcer is acting up so, he is on an antibiotic and a prescription pepcid (?).

Dh said he was extrememly dehydrated -- I told dh to remind FIL that rum & coke doesn't count as a liquid! ;)

Dh is still with FIL and is going to be the one to handle all the details.

One of the funniest things (at least ot dh & I) is last night before dh left FIL was panicked.....FIL --- *I don't have any cash on me.* :rotfl:

Dh told him not to worry that that he didn't need to tip the nurses during the night and they didn't have a bar! LOL!

Glad your FIL is being released and they have been able to diagnose him.

He sounds like a hoot!

All these baby stories... I can't imagine having to go through it :( . My BFF works as a NICU nurse and some of the stories she tells me just breaks my heart.

My DD was a healthy 9lb 7oz. She came looking like a 3 month old.

Just paid team fees for next hockey season.
That sonic boom you may have heard was my Disney Visa.

Lots of Mickey dollars coming my way.

And they didn't put a hold on the charge???? The security servers must have you on their list.:rotfl2:

Glad to hear he is ok. Funny, my parents always stressed about having cash for the hospital. I think my Mom used to tip the nurses to take special care :confused3 Maybe it's a generational thing.

OK... on another point... today is my daughter's last day at school... a half day. I am picking her up - and taking her to a daddy daughter day out. I'm thinking of doing lunch at her favorite Chinese restuarant in town then maybe Disneyland for the afternoon. Then a late dinner with my Dad if shes' awake half way home Mom and the younger one have already flown out to Boston for the week - and a birthday party for my niece. I'm flying with the older daughter tomorrow to join them. And as I understand it we might be doing a mini-DIS meet out there with Mary Ann (Magiroux) hosting for maybe Diane (allshookup), Chrissy (mkygrl), and maybe Penny (psm729). I remain flexible for the day and times - but Monday had been suggested.

Yup, We are trying ot work out if Monday or Tuesday will work out best for our little pool party. I have sent out PM's to people that I know live in the area, however anyone/everyone is invited. There have been lots of new people who have joined the group lately and I am not sure if any are from this area, but you are more than welcome - the more, the merrier :dance3: . I live the Boston/Metro-West. Send me a PM if you are interested in joining in a toast to the TOAL!!!

Enjoy your date with DD, Crash.

Oh, my!!! The Dr had told me that if it had been my 1st...2nd or 3rd child she would have been staying in the hospital a while. :goodvibes But, he had known me a long time and knew that I really would take her to see him everyday! :thumbsup2

Trying to prevent lil'cutie from getting mad at me. Do you have two Rooms booked and are they linked together or is there two reservation numbers???

Pleas pm. me with this information!! I sent you another pm.:thumbsup2

I just got this information from them too. Won't have to pay on Frontier either based on purchase date :thumbsup2

Things got away from me yesterday so I couldn't post much (if at all, I don't remember what I did LOL). Stephanie, my thoughts are with your family, hope you get good news. Welcome to the newbies!

Okay no rain but more toranado warnings for the second time this week.

I'm not sure the best of emergency plans would have helped in this situation. Its always good to review the plans and exercise them to be sure you know how to implement, but they seemed to do everything according to "the book" (at least as far as the news coverage goes).

I think the Scouts deserve a lot of credit for the first aid and rescue they performed.

As my DS10 is just embarking on his Boy Scout experience, I was terrified, saddened and proud of what I saw in the reports.

I am sure the Scouts handled the whole situation but I just feel sorry about How long it took to notify the parents .. I had to wait over three hours to find out my DD was okay and the whole troop made it with only a few bruises.I still think that was one of the longest three hours of my life besides the times when John had his by-pass surgeries!!:scared1: :scared1:

It's raining again... Actually, pouring...:worried: :worried:

Anybody got directions to build an arc :rolleyes1

Just come and float down here. We only get tornado warnings and no rain.:rolleyes1

I would love to come..........1:yay: :yay: but I live too far!!!!:( :( :(

Meant to answer that early entry question when BIP first asked. Multi day park hoppers come with 1 early entry. I think Getawaytoday.com had a special that offered 2 early entries though. Guests staying onsite get to use early entry every day it's offered, regardless of their ticket type.

Monica - do you know if there is any early entry with the annual passes? - I think they are the deluxe ones - one down from premium. Still thinking of upgrading at least one to premium, so we can take advantage of the higher food discount and add the merchandise discount - we'll never use the parking.

We've had more than 10 tornados in S. Wisconsin today :scared1: More than an inch of rain today. They are shutting down areas on the interstate due to flooding. Soon I will be able to float down there

Howdy all! What a day. I really earned my pay today and next week will be the same. Rushed around to cover everything I needed to get done cause I'm off tomorrow. I'l' be working field day at dd's school so no rest for the wicked!:lmao:

Stephanie glad to hear FIL is doing good. That is always scarry.

Weather here is getting overcast. We are suspose to have thunderstorms tomorrow so field day maybe indoors. DD is so excited about field day and than she is going to a birthday party sleep over. I get to play!:cool1:

Nope, no early entry unless you stay onsite. I usually have Deluxe passes, but went with premium because I knew we'd be going to the park on Sat before the TOAL. And maybe around Christmas time. So it works out for us this year. With it just being the 2 of us, it never made sense to upgrade 1 just for the discounts, but for you it might.
