We spent 4 months in the NICU but we had absolutely incredible Nurses and Dr's thankfully. My 2nd half of my pregnancy was a disaster mostly caused by my idiot OB. He was supposed to be this incredible Dr. He delivered all the Dallas Cowboys wives, girlfriends, etc. Anyway, the fact that I have Megan now is a miracle because he certainly did not help the situation.
The NICU complete team was there when Megan was born and everything went like clockwork. Of all they did, the biggest was when a nurse happened to notice at 2:30am that she did not "look right". She got the Neonatalogist to order X-rays right then and they determined her intestines had burst. She could have EASILY died (all % say she should have) but the care she rcvd kept her alive and thriving.
