WooHoo! THanks for posting!

Hello everyone, Wow this thread really moves fast. I was suppose to have surgery today but it needed to be cancelled due to a possible blood clot in the lower legs and a "cadiac incident". And of course the foot that was suppose to be operated on is now in so much pain. OOCH!!!..

Of course I had the necessary tests to r/o any problems. you think one of the doctors would call me to tell me I am ok?? NOOOOO!!!!..

Oh well, I really didnt want to have surgery before the cruise anyway.

Ok now on to business..I made a fish extender and I must say it looks great.. I will have topost a pic here soon!!i am so exctied about this cruise now!!

Question for all those in the know.. What exactly is "BALLROOM UNDER THE STARS" Will we all be outside for our dinners?? When Disney told me about it.. the CM told me to pull out all the punches.. gowns, gloves, tiaras tuxes for the men. but where will they put 3 dining rooms full of people??

Question #2 no matter what.. we have to pay to use a computer on the ship?? I was going to take a laptop to download pics and talk to my daughter who wont be going with us on the cruise(only to CAL). I have one that had wireless ethernet and one that has a card from Verizon.. We cant share a plan anymore with other familes since its not unlimited minutes..

thanks for any answers..

Hi Everyone! This is my first post on this meet. We will be sailing with you all. We are a family of 4. My husband and myself and we have a boy(9) and a
girl(7). I have been lurking and have been encouraged to join the meet, so I am giving it a try. We have all our excursions booked and we are in a cat 6 gty. We have late dining but are wait listed for early. Is there any family out there who knows if you can share a table. On our past Disney cruise we were seated at a table for 4. I think it could be fun to sit with other people on such a long trip. Is there somewhere that the kids can meet (e-mail etc).
Thanks, hope to talk to you all!

thWelcomeAboard.gif

If you really want early......contact goofyfor life and she can add you to the list of early diners.:thumbsup2 I am sure she can also find someone for you to sit with. Our Disers are a friendly bunch. I do request for late dining!!:goodvibes

Attention everyone -

In a bit or later this evening - I will post some pictures of what Fish Gifts we got jsut in case any of you are stumped. But I will mention this - for the larger gifts, they got together in groups and donated a nice gift that way. My fish gift group gave out dry erase boards with marker - my infamous pen that was lifted on the last day. However, if you all decide to do this - keep in mind about cut-off dates.

Talk to you all later - going in hunt of throat lozenges. Or was that tea and honey? :scratchin MOM!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you feel better and I we all would love to see pictures!!!:worship:  :worship:  :thumbsup2

I'm in Kentucky...

I thoguht it was quiet!!!:lmao: Did you take Roger with you!!:rolleyes1

I've also heard diluted apple cider vinegar works well. My DH swears by it.

I just checked with DCL on the passport issue again. The agent I spoke to said they are required for Columbia, but when she tried to verify it with her info online, she couldn't find anything about passports for the EB PC. Maybe this is why we're getting the old "they are not required but strongly suggested" line.

Also, they just got notification that all aboard is going to be 3pm, the safety drill will be at 3:30 pm and sail away is at 4pm.

Thanks for clearing all that up. So maybe we can all meet at 2 pm. above scoops on deck 10????? We would all like to see the black shirts together!!!!Right Captain??

I think because the ship stops in Columbia regardless of whether you disembark, a passport is needed.

That is what I was told last time I called DCL.::yes:: ::yes::

I'm seeing myself quoted for posts that I have not made.

Either I'm schizophrenic and don't know about it, or something is amiss with the quote function.

Actually, Mike, I'm starting to hear the music from the "Exorcist" about now . . .:lmao:

Cardiac incident! Take care of yourself! You have an important cruise coming up!:goodvibes

Computer -- yes, sadly you pay through the nose for very, very slow internet access on the ship . . .

I believe we will eat in the dining rooms and then go up in our formal wear for the Ballroom under the Stars and there will be music, dancing, perhaps a midnight dessert buffet . . . if the weather cooperates, of course.

Just heard Harvery Korman from Carol Burnett show passed away today at age 81 in LAX.. Rest in peace...

Hello Folks,

I have information on 3 different tours from Mr. Emerald. I am still waiting on 2 others and then I will post them all at once. Sorry it has taken what seems like forever, but I have been working on it. :goodvibes

Thanks for all you do Paula!

:woohoo: :woohoo: Thanks for the info. I just wish the second formal night was not so late into the cruise. I might be wearing a bed sheet if I can't get into one of my formals!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yippee!!! I was joking last week that I would like it if they would have pirate night on my birthday. A girl needs fireworks for the 40th! And they came through for me!!! Ok, I'm sure it had nothing to do with me asking for it

Well 40 is special!!! :rolleyes1 That means it is all down hill from there!!;)

We also have a group linking for Late Dining as well.

Yes with a nice bunch of peeps like me!!!::yes:: ::yes::

Thanks! The only one I was on before was a 7 day in Mexico and the CM told us that they had to pick up the firworks that day and shoot them off that night (hence..I thought they couldn't travle very far with them). On that cruise..they went off of the starboard side..which is where we are but then we would miss all the fun stuff on deck!

On a side note..I went to order the holders for our name tags only to find out that the company is about 2 miles from my house..so I get to save money on the shipping (score) and go get them! They also had lanyards but the cost was more then the company I went with plus a set up fee (it came out to about $2.50 a lanyard). the company I went with the cost was $1 each with no set up and free shipping..so I went with that. :woohoo:

You are so sweet for doing this!!!

Hi Arlene, thanks for asking. I wish it was. But no such luck. Probably about 2 or 3 more weeks. Getting the plumbing plans approved is taking longer than it should. I still can't decide on a new floor, but I did pick out the building color. I just hope it is done before we leave for vacation in June, but that may just be a dream:)

Hi Paula!!:wave2:

Wow..DCL finally gave us some news! I think this deserves a possum! (an opossum for Cheryl!) :drinking1 and some :cake:

Remember two drinks for the "O.":drinking1 :drinking1

A round of possum, please!!!!!!!!!!

I love, love, love that banner . . .:thumbsup2

:drinking1

Tom, Mike and myself will have to find something new to write to DCL about now. :rolleyes1

I am sure we can find something for you to write about!!:stir: :stir: :stir: :stir:

Thanks Julie..

ok I am going for my nightly walk maybe run.. iI will see what I can do with my foot. I have had it on ice for 20 min now.

wishme luck.. TTYL

CRUISE QUESTION

For those of you that have gotten facials onboard which one did you have and how did you like it?
I usually like to get one on a cruise after being in the sun so much

My older dd (23 at the time) and myself got a facial onboard... mine was a microdermabrasion. I don't remember which kind she got.... I enjoyed mine...she was more critical BUT, she has alot more experience in that type of theing then I do.... In fact 24dd & 17dd are going tomorrow with my MIL to get facials.......

Oh my! I hope everying is ok soon for you!

:thumbsup2

I know this has been posted many times before, but where's the website for the Cruise Tux Rental place?

Nevermind...found it!

I like it :thumbsup2 Perfect for the sweltering heat we will be in.

Just heard Harvery Korman from Carol Burnett show passed away today at age 81 in LAX.. Rest in peace...

Awww, I loved him. I loved how he could never stop himself from laughing in the middle of a skit - remember the "Gone With The Wind" skit. I recently saw a biography special on Carol Burnett where she said that when she came down the stairs wearing the "curtains", the costume was kept secret from Harvey Korman. He couldn't keep it together...RIP

Welcome! I don't know a lot of the cruise details off the top of my head, but there is a fish extender list if you want to join that, then send a pm to bellelinus. We are a family of 4 with DD13 and DS10. We have late dining. I've gotten lots of valuable info over here and I hope you do to!

Attention everyone -

I feel like carp today -guess its my punishment for making fun of DH getting sick on the last day of the cruise. Anyway, I am being forced to take a day of rest ( :rotfl2: ) as my throat is really raw but we shall see how that goes. After this post, I'm on my way to my mommy's house to see if she has any magic potion to calm this sandpaper throat of mine. Doc told DH that there is a very bad intestinal flue going around. Guess its better off the ship than on.

Anyway, here's the info:

PARENTS, IF YOU HAVE KIDS THAT WANT TO JOIN THE SM - PLEASE YOU - THE ADULT SEND ME A MESSAGE NOTING THIS. I JUST WANT TO BE SURE THAT YOU THE ADULTS HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS BEFORE ASSIGNING A SM TO YOUR CHILD OR YOUR CHILD TO A SM.

I have assigned just a few for the early birds but I will be cutting the deadline date by mid-June I believe. I will be working on this the next week and you'll be receiving your SM in batches. Thank you all for understanding. I have not forgotten - I wanted to see how the WB handled their SM and try to learn from their mistakes.

END OF SM INFO.

Oh, I hope you get to feeling better soon!
do you have a list who is signed up? because we signed up the kids a LONG TIME ago and I haven't got any assignments- weren't we one of the "early birds"? I would think we were since I signed them up right after this was announced....

I need to check how this works out for us and our schedule. LOL
aw, I wish one of the formal nights was the night we're doing Palo (panama canal) but I guess it's not. *sigh*

And hope everything still fits.:rotfl:
ditto.... better make sure everything is "roomy" because 13 days into the cruise we might not all be the same size we started out on the cruise. LOL
I don't know about you guys but I can gain a lot in 2wks- just from water retention alone! And I noticed on the last cruise I retained fluids for some reason- my feet and hands swelled up! :(

:woohoo: :woohoo: Thanks for the info. I just wish the second formal night was not so late into the cruise. I might be wearing a bed sheet if I can't get into one of my formals!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just make sure you wear your tiara with that sheet and you'll look marvelous.
