I actually think it is easier than getting the gift cards -- one call and they are done. Paula had a great idea about the pdf form, too . . .

If you know someone is going to give a gift anyway, it is easy to say or email to family, "As you know we are going on a 15 night Disney repositioning cruise this summer from August 17 - September 1. We would greatly appreciate gifts of either Disney gift cards or onboard credit to our account for XX and XX's birthdays. To give onboard credit, simply call XXXX and give the amount of credit you are giving and a credit card number. Our reservation # is XXXX and is of course under the last name of XXX.. Thank you so much in advance!"

Perfect, I am going to do that. Makes it so much easier for everyone. I know people sometimes really want to be creative or think of something on their own, but this would PERFECT for us. I appreciate it everyone!

PS, since we seem to be talking about pets...

My 9 month old kitty was sitting in one of our windows this morning as we finally get to have them open   :dance3: :dance3: and the screen gave way and she feel outside! Luckily it was only about 8 feet and on to grass, so she is just fine. But it freaked us all out! So now we have to close the windows...:(

Was pleasantly surprised yesterday....

My son had gotten notice that he had received second place in a "create and earth day bumper sticker contest" and we should stop by the Earth Day Festival at the County Park.

We just assumed it was second place in his class or school, turns out it was second place in his age group in whole county! He was called up on stage and given a gift cert to Barnes and Noble.

"As you know we are going on a 15 night Disney repositioning cruise this summer from August 17 - September 1. We would greatly appreciate gifts of either Moet & Chandon champagne –Dom Perignon $185, (I can’t stand the cheap stuff) or onboard credit to our account for our 2008/2009/2010 birthdays. To give onboard credit, simply call Disney cruise line and give the amount of credit you are giving and a credit card number. Please note the minimum On board credit is $1,000, and it would be nice to leave the number of a credit card with a high limit, saying ‘'its for express checkout’’ Our reservation # is 6050 and is of course under the name of Julie Thank you so much in advance!"

Monica,

Just read about Trevoy this morning. I'm so glad your brother was able to find him and that he is safe. I can't even imagine how scared you were. I hope today is a better day! :flower3:

:grouphug: and prayers for you and Trevoy.

I'll look on Piratezone, also....But, I told 17dd that I would ask here. She has posted on the kids dis thread for this cruise and so far the oldest *kid* is 14. She was looking to connect with some 16/17 before the cruise.

This would be so much easier for her if Alex was still going! LOL! Now she is panicked about not knowing anyone ahead of time. On our 10nt she spent the entire summer before the cruise *talking* to other teenagers that were on the same cruise. Then the first day onboard they had their own *meet & greet*.

She is extremely quiet -- but, get her on anything Disney and she comes ALIVE! LOL!

There are a few in the 15-16 range on the Pirate Zone, I will PM you with a few that aren't listed that I think fall in the 16/17 range....

When we lived in our apartment, Snuggles loved to lay on the balcony (2nd floor) one day he fell off.................realized it didn't hurt so he just started jumping off. That put an end to him getting to enjoy the day out there.:)

Hi All!
boy! Miss a week on the DIS takes forever to ketchup! Last week at the club was nuts! Packing up 3 years of life is tough!
Here goes:
Happy Birthday & Congrats to all who I missed over this week!:cool1:
Monica... I'm glad things are working out better for you... Let's hope it continues:grouphug:

My news: My last day at boys & girls club was Friday... very sad, very enlightening, very draining. We had lots of cake, freeze pops, games & prizes (everyone got them:) ). I was surprised with gifts & very touching cards... I guess I made a difference in some kids & parents lives (I just didn't really know)... Even the new girl (only worked with her for 1 week) at the desk was crying & giving hugs. But now it is on to a new job on Monday. Saturday was spent cleaning a summer camp of pine cones & twigs. Guess the parents of these kids don't want nature to come in the way of enjoying a camp experience:confused3 But our scout troop got paid generously for the job... which means more stuff for our boys.:cool1:
Last night & this AM... ketchup on the DIS & got my tix for trip home from TOAL. Now I have to pay for it.... Also found out the club doesn't want to pay me for my vacation time owed to me.... guess I call the labor board Monday. I was counting on that money because I have no vacation time from my new job yet. Oh well.... it'll all work out somehow! (I'll hit the lottery:rotfl: ) I just have to meet all of you on this trip... IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!:goodvibes

How nice to be shown such appreciation by everyone. Must have been a day filled with mixed emotions.

I wonder if your ears were ringing last Friday night. I was out with friends and B&G Club came up because of the recent article in the paper. Seems my friend's brother Dean worked there. She did not have too many positive things on how things have been going there as of recent. Even though it's sad, it seems you have made a good choice. It stinks you are going to have to fight to get the vacation time that is owed to you - UGH!!!

We've got to get together! We probably know at least a few of the same people! I worked with Dean for about a year.... very funny guy, good heart.
My only hope is that they do good by the kids & families... the new regime seems to forget that they are working with ACTIVE KIDS & they only seem to be constantly "writing up" kids for dumb stuff. Hopefully when they hire the new director thing will work out. I know it's not my prob anymore.... but I worry.

I wish you all the best in your new endeavor and I hope that the kids that need guidance can get it somehow! :)

Thanks in advance, Andrew -- I knew I could count on you!

Sally and I will never forget the day at the spa we had, courtesy of your card ending up being accidentally linked to her cabin on the Med cruise last summer . . .:thumbsup2

We snagged United for $180 from MCO to LAX. Tonite United only has $225 as their lowest fare. Gee.... I wish I could get a one way from MCO for $115. I would snap that one up if I were you.

Wow..DH needs to go from MCO to LAX - we couldn't find that on United - we did okay in the end tho..found Delta for 159.00 non-stop from MCO to LAX on the 3rd tho (a couple of days of fun at WDW)

Kicking myself though...few months ago - found American (of course - that's kind of scary at the moment) for 179.00 for a non-stop at 1 p.m. - went back and it's 498.00! :scared1:

Have a great Sunday!

My oldest daughter turns 16 in June . . . I'm sure she would like to email a bit this summer before the cruise . . .
