 Scuba Mom - are you part of the Escaping Moms? Late - but glad to see you posting - now dish - is Stace as fun in real life as she is here on the DIS? She has our whole household cracking up. In fact, almost too much - now my oldest dd - Megan also is talking like she can rearrange her schedule to get on this boat - like that is really going to happen!

I THINK NOT!

Yes, I am one of the 5 Escaping Moms. My husband (Jim) is the DIS "poster" in our family. I will try and do better.

YES!!!! Stacey is as fun in real life as she is on the DIS. :yay: :yay: BE PREPARED for anything. On one of our cruises, Jay (Stacy's DH) had left Palo's when the photographer came in to take pictures of all of the couples (6 couples I think), so Stacey got her picture (and video) with the waiter, several of the chefs, etc. It was quite funny to hear her comments as the pictures were being taken.

We never travel without insurance. Pre existing medical conditions here and the insurance was already purchased the first week we had the ressie. We used Travel Insured. Staying offsite Thurs night, checking into DLH Friday morning. Not sure if we'll hit the parks early or not, but we will be having brunch at Goofy's at 11. We'll try to meet up after then.

Monica,
Matt has no school on Friday - may we join you & Trevoy for Brunch?
On Sat Matt has Little League - we'll head over to DL afterwards. I'll phone when we get there.

Thanks, Mike!

That is strange, Monica . . . I also have my taskbar at the bottom, but I did look back at the old posts and Andrew's are the same size as everyone else's on my screen. Cue the Twilight zone music here . . .

I think it depends on the monitor. On my old one I had the same problem. With my flatscreen I hardly have to scroll over. But! Andrews are the widest.

I have a question for the Disneyland experts out there.

We're looking at getting 5 day Hopper tickets for August. I see that right now they have a 5 day for the price of a 3 day, but that it's only good through April 24th.

Do you think that they'll run any other promotion like that for August?

My guess is probably not since summer is high season, but I figured I'd ask your opinions.

Thanks!

Hey Mike, we just bought the Florida Resident Play 4 and we were able to add the no expiration feature for addtl $. Check into that.

Hmm, since I am not coming on the cruise and therefore am not likely to be within arms length of Cheryl, may be I should post those videos somewhere....

Unlike others, I do not profess to be innocent.

I have lots of mice in my house all named Mickey.::MickeyMo :earseek:

Do you have too much time on your hands today???:confused3 :confused3

It is one of those days for me where i thing I need a :drinking1

An 'all-hands' (and feet) call this morning. Two hours of tedium for two minutes of information. As if it is any wonder our stock price is flirting with single digits today.

And I have it on good authority that Mickey does NOT like broccoli. He told me so himself (not in so many words, or really in any words) one night at Chef Mickey's.

Sure, I'll call Disney right now and see if they can switch us from a 2 to a 4 table.

****ok just got off the phone, we're all set for 11am at Goofy's. We'll see you there.

By the way, I hope you already know that the Sat is a blocked day for the Deluxe pass. Did you know you will have to buy the blackout tickets?

Monica, you'd said that you think Friday will be really crowded....will spring break have started by then or has Disneyland simply gotten to be like Las Vegas, busy all the time??

I was hoping, like Todd, that Friday and Monday wouldn't be too terribly bad.

A little of both. There's a lot of factors leading me to believe it's going to be busy.
DL really hasn't slowed down much for their slow seasons in the last few years. And Spring breaks will have already started. Many CA schools have the week before Easter, so technically starting on Monday. But many folks will try extend their break and sneak in early on Friday. Also, based on hotel occupancy, it looks like it is going to be a heavy weekend. And DL has extended hours, the first week in March they are closing at 9pm, but the week leading up to our arrival, the park is open until 11pm and then midnight the week after. They extend the hours when they expect to be busy.

I really hope the company turns around...I actually like my new cell phone.:thumbsup2

Interesting reading that was forwarded to me:

Easter is early this year. Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but that is pretty rare.

Here's the interesting info. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here are the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones who were around for that!).

2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year
