I'm on board with you, Captain . . . we live about 10 minutes from our Costco and I tend to go there instead of the grocery store, too . . . .LOL

The scary thing to do is to send DH in there . . . it's even worse if he happens to be hungry . . LOL . . .I try to remind him that he is buying IN BULK . . .

If ya time it right, the samples they serve can make a nice lite meal if you're not too hungry! I wuz there today an' actually got out pretty quick.... I was returning a digicam BECAUSE I found that Fuji F40FD digicam on Amazon for a net $27 after adjustment for the $50 rebate and $100 credit from Amazon for opening 2 section 529 savings accounts of $100 for a nephew and niece. So... I figure for $27 I'll RETURN the Costco bought digicam and keep the one from Amazon.

And yeah, I know... the Fuji is nothing special in performance - although it does have an ISO 2000 max with what I consider a very usable ISO 800 setting. Not to neglect mentioning it shoots really FAST compared to most of the slim digicams I've had in the past.

Bottom line... for $27 net this is the most digcam for the money I've ever seen. So that's what I'm using fer now.

I liked the cancellation policy and that you can do tandem upto 4 people. However, it doesn't look to have much shade, if any. Just an open canyon.

Yeah, I was just looking over that Cabo zip line site. It says its; only $50 for 3 in tandom... and that sounds pretty reasonable. However, my main problem is hat I have just under 30 people in my party ( including 11 kids) that I'm sort of obligated to hang with - since more than half of them are family an' all. I'd catch some heat if I ran off and abandoned them.

However, I was about to circulate an email to them tonite to see if there was sufficient interest for us to committ a few of us to go with Paula's group. This sort of activity is something I really want to try one way or another.

OK Debi - if you all don't stop sharing pictures of your tiaras - I'm going to have an even harder time telling DD she can't go - she's very envious of the tiaras even though she got some awesome ones on her last birthday. For some reason - she got 2 last year and 3 this year so I will be borrowing hers. Do you think everyone is telling her something? She goes around saying - if the crown fits!

ok..pbger, i told my lil'miss about the deep sea...fishing, so she'll ask
the boys if they interested. [ we have no offical schedules...nor any
specfic plans..for excursions..& she has always done all our planning
..so in the near future , we are going to have a family meeting. ]

..wow! down loading some of our trip pics...on our computer. before,
we always done the old ways. [ i still have our old...cannon ae-1. the
one we used for our wdw trips..in the 80's. plus lenses. ] funny,
i don't have crystal clear vision...however, i have always
taking pics. now..digital..it's exciting..cos you can edit...& i am
hoping..the end results make it to photobucket...cos, they came
out . however, the ones i took in the fall..needs no editing.
...@ first,i was disappointed with the pic. when they didn't come out as
i saw on the screen...gotta love modern tech. , it's like getting a new
pair of glasses.


..i like taking pics @ disney..cos they to sneak things in "there".
..we have been past the "welcome sign" for years...but the things i 've
never noticed... .

...one of my favorite cruise pics..was on the magic with the wonder across
us..after one of the hurricanes. however, it wasn't possible to squeezed the
whole ship in so i took 2 pics. cutting the ship in 2 pieces. to my delight,
they matched up really nice. it was also a night pic.. * one of my tech.,
is to take the same pic., but at a different angles. cheese!

That looks great. I've said it before, I was not impressed with the food on the Med cruise. It had a European flare, and usually I'm an adventurous eater. But it was just not as good as I expected. However these dishes look wonderful.

CRASH! Howyoooodoin'?​

I'm doin' fine now that my little one has kicked her fever from the weekend "goodbye" ... and best yet ... my spouse and I thought we might be falling victim to the same fever and now we know we shook it off as well. Aside form this news from the past couple of days, I'd say I finally feel as if I'm beginning to catch up on things a bit. Whilein the same breath, I can admit I have a ton of chores, work and "needs" on my "to do" list. That is why i have not been on line as much as I have been prior to December.

What am I complaining about ?????

It's extremely cold here and yes in theory, Norfolk does enjoy warm weather in comparison to the rest of the UK, what it doesn't say is that the rest of the UK breeds Polar Bears.

Kings Lynn is about 45 miles from here and is in a more sheltered position than where I live (Cromer). An interesting fact about Kings Lynn is that outside London, Kings Lynn has the highest population of rats in the UK.

Eventhough we live at the seaside, the weather is only hot (barely warm by Floridian standards) for around 6-8 weeks each year. Last year, that was reduced to around 27 minutes.

I stand by what I say, it's freezing here today.

I can only say that your replies are enlightening. I know little of your region and stand by in blissful ignorance. Aside from that - may I submit that "the grass is always loiking greener on the other side".... meaning you're lucky to not reside above the artic circle. not withstanding that the rest of the UK already breeds polar bears! < "wink" >

We had a family crisis so I was off for a while. Did we ever reveal the identity of the Secret Mickeys? I have been concerned that my second package did not arrive.

I am thinking we'll stage a grand unveiling in one of the next two weekends. We're just running through some house keeping and logistics now. Patience please.

Well, it looks like you all hit the ground running.

For those who think we singled out your thread, there were plenty of others, particularly on the Community Board.

A lot of time and effort has gone into changing the servers. The last thing anyone anticipated was this problem with the long threads. Once it was suspected they were the cause of some issues we saw, they were temporarily removed to see if it made a difference. As you can see, the boards are humming along for the first time since we switched servers. (I'm not going to pretend I understand any of the technical 'stuff.' As far as I'm concerned, a server is someone who brings your food to the table.)

I know that the long threads are somewhere and they're trying to come up with a way to bring them back without having the same problems return with them. In the meantime you, like most who participate in these long threads, started a new one. We never expected you to wait and are happy to see that you were able to pick up where you left off.

BTW, the basic premise of the poll is way off since the Mods have nothing to do with any of this. This is in the hands of our tech guys so please lighten up on the terrific Mods who volunteer their time to keep an eye on the boards.

Regina, may I offer a public apology to you and all the MODs who support our wonderful community. I never intended to take a jab at the MODs... even though that's how it might have been interpreted. I was NOT thinking properly when I drafted some of those poll questions. I guess the most appropriate poll query was whether one believed in pixies or not. Frankly, I was just rolling along at a natural trott and really .... I intended no harm. I actually thought it might have been... entertaining. I guess I was wrong.

Any of the so Cal contingent have any experience with House of Blues Anaheim? I'm trying to get tickets to a show, but it won't let me. I don't get the usual Tickemaster no tickets available message. I just get something telling me to try again later. I keep trying but am still getting the same message. I'm going to call tomorrow if I still can't get anything online. If I do get tickets, looks like I'll be taking a trip down in Feb. Not sure if we'll hit the parks though since our passes are expired and I wasn't planning on getting new APs until March.

I can get tickets for the next day for a show in Vegas. Maybe I'll head there instead.

.... you are perfectly right in that I drafted the poll right before I went to sleep. I think I fell asleep early on account of ??? and I awakened for some reason and started poking around my emails, and various other sites INCLUDING the DIS. And I was struck with the notion of drafting a poll to add. I figured, why not since this thread was going to be replaced by the original thread in another day or so ... or so I thought. I then selected the maximum number of poll query options (12)... and just let the questions flow as I typed. Not much/ not enough thought went into it in some ways. Oh well...

OK... I'm not sure but I'm almost caught up to yesterday more or less. AND... now I am actually listening to a CD I ripped a few days ago... 19 hits from 1970s and it's pretty cool as it brings back some old memories (Don McLean singing American Pie, Helen Reddy singing Angie Baby, and Gerry Rafferty performing Baker Street) ... and in some cases I don't recognize the music at all. Tomorrow I'm on the road for the afternoon until the very late evening ... so I'll probably not be on line at all after 2PM til the next day. And on this note I bid everone good nite.​
