chatty, chatty, chatty = ketchup, ketchup, ketchup

I'll just have to tell the kids there will be no more cleaning or laundry in this house, The DIS is eating all my free time.

Or cooking dinner either!! :rotfl2:

My Dad is a big wine drinker and is always having me try something new. Some I like a lot and some I don't:confused3

I did the wine tasting on my last cruise in 2006 and only drank two of the six glasses they gave us. I usually know from the first sip if I'm going to like the wine or not.

Maybe you just haven't found a wine that appeals to you yet:confused3

You sound like me when it comes to wine. I'm not a big wine drinker, but when I find you I really like then I'm hooked. I like to try them all, but DW usually ends up finishing most of mine. I do find the info that they tell you to be pretty interesting, so we're definitely looking forward to the wine tasting. Anybody remember the cost of the different tastings?

Paula,

I sent my request to the PV company. Still waiting to hear back. I should be able to let you know in a few days if I'm booked with them or if they we're full.

The tandem zip looks cool.

I just heard back from them this evening. Very nice. It's apparently Peak Season for them right now and are back logged with emails. We were able to get in on the 1:00 PM trip. Cost was $134.30 for 2 adults.

My kids might do the zip line if they were in tandem with one of us. However, I'm sure that I'm pushing maximum density by myself, so that's probably out for us. Sounds like a lot of fun though, and I'll want to hear all about it after you guys all do it.

I just booked mine and Kevin's,with the tour company directly. Got conformation back for: Aug.20,2008 at 1pm. Mention that your with the group from Disney Cruiseline. It will ask where you want to be piced up at, we said the the Tour Office. Plan on getting a cab(like $4.00 ea) to the office and back.

Debi,

I didn't hear back from them yet. You emailed not long after I did. Did you send a follow up email?

Mark -
I LOVED the sea days on the repo. Deck 4 - a good book (if my eyes stayed open!) - heaven!

Hey Chris - I finally took the plunge and tried the pool for the first time ever sailing with DCL. I totally loved it and can see myself falling asleep out there. So that is probably the one thing I am looking forward this time to a repo - definitely taking advantage of a sea day to be just plain LAZY! (not that I'm a whirlwind of activity now but still, you kow - to know that I'm FORCED to be lazy - ::yes:: that is my idea of bliss!

I contacted the Franklin Institute regarding the star wars exhibit.
We were thinking it might be possible to do a mini meet. Here's some info:

1) We could buy tickets through group sales. It's about $5.00 cheaper. We could all be admitted to the exhibit at the same time. The down side is moving money around & issues associated with cancellations.

or

2) We could but tickets for the same date & the same window (am or pm).
People could arrive when they wanted to & explore the rest of the museum. We could all meet for lunch in the cafeteria area. The food is reasonable, salads & sandwiches, pizza, chicken fingers. Then people could enter the exhibit at their designated time. You can get the tickets over the internet.

The exhibit is running through the first weekend in May. Everyone agreed that a Saturday would be best. The weather in April in Philly is pretty decent.

Let me know what you think.

Wine, especially richer and deeper red wines, can be an aquired taste. I aquired it in college . . . LOL . . . However, I believe I drank enough budweiser beer in college to never have to touch the stuff for the rest of life :)

MrsScrooby . . .my stepdad makes his own wine so we're guaranteed to be drinking that whether we liked it or not :) Fortunately they are usually excellent. The man has oak barrels in his root cellar (turned wine cellar).

Sounds like your dad is great, too!

My Dad is an aquired taste:rotfl: We are the only ones in the family that really like wine though so we bond over that:goodvibes

The wines I liked from the tasting were a Chardonay (California) and a Beaujolais (not sure of the spelling). One white, one red:confused3

I was spoiled in college because we had a place called "the Brew Pub" where they brewed their own beer on site. The Amber and Red were the only beers that I liked (more like Ales actually).

Your stepdad's wine cellar sounds awesome:cool2:

Either way works for me:goodvibes
