K I think I am all done w Door Magnets.

Cell phones all set for Intl.

Got my cash.

Cancelled the paper.

Let me go up and give the DW a hand packing. I hear her panicking...

On my to do... Insurance (I still have not bought it... and think I should - anyone else in my shoes here). Call CC company and let them know where we will be... post office...

and yes, work for the next two days... ugh

Sil did you notify your credit card you will be traveling???:lmao:

Terri- I'm going "hose free" Try it- it's liberating.
I won't so far as going without other unmentionables though. LOL
This is how close the Walmart/Sam's club was in PV...

wow but look at the street you have to cross! Or is that a HIGHWAY? LOL

If you are looking for a break from the pool. The little restaurant beside our hotel (BW Park Place) - I think it's called Capt. Kids or something like that. They have hard ice cream - quite a few flavors. Nice afternoon break - ice cream cone time.
Thanks for the tip!

Electric razor should be fine but it depends on the size of the clipper. I would n t risk the clippers. If you don't find out til screening - no bags to check them in.
It's just an electric mini- size (in my opinion- it's about the size of a disposable razor in length) clipper with attachments you know the plastic things you put on to clip different sizes? It's real small though- without the attachments you can't even cut your skin with it if you wanted to. So hmm, I should make Jeff use it tomorrow and put it in checked luggage I'm taking? Cause we GOTTA take it. If we don't he'll have sideburns and look like a walrus or something (overgrown mustache) by the end of the cruise. (and if he didn't take the electric razor he'd be looking like grizzly adams with full beard within 2wks- seriously)
:lmao:
I gots me a hairy man!

I just weighed 4 of ours (we have 6). All come in around 46lbs, with room for loot. DW says load-em-up; this is a TOAL and excess baggage fees will just be a small part of the overall cost. Ok sez I.

Andy
:lmao: :lmao:

Laurie, remember my story about the man that went biking on CC 2nd day out on the May repo? ::yes:: you guessed it - he broke his foot and was in a cast. So things can happen here too regardless of no suburbas, no streams and no dogs. And the funny thing is that I think Cheryl said she knew someone who broke their foot biking also, am I right Cheryl or did I just blow smoke? :rotfl:
See I figured that since the CC stop is towards the end of our repo that it would be an acceptable risk to take:confused3 ;)

Anyway- i was able to bid/win a clarinet and case on ebay and even though I THOUGHT I only needed the case for Ruby because I THOUGHT she'd only demolished the styrofoam inside of her soft-sided clarinet case... good thing I decided to go for a clarinet too (since on ebay it's about the same price as JUST a case thru the school/etc.) because I was looking at her clarinet.... that used to be MY clarinet from 6th grade thru highschool... and she's basically demolished it too! it's a mess, even though just before school ended we got new corks and pads on it (again) I see broken pieces at the edges where the pieces connect together, a crack in the barrel and one body piece, etc.
arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
leave it to her to tear up my clarinet I had ALL THOSE YEARS and never had a scratch on it. But then again I treated it like gold because I knew what a treat it was for me to be able to have such a thing- because we were so poor-- but she's an ungrateful spoiled brat who thinks nothing of damaging expensive items. (can you tell I'm not happy with my ST right now?)
Similar situation with us. I bought my own clarinet in high school with my babysitting money and treated it like gold too. Of course we've had to replace the cork and repair it since Andrew has been using it:rolleyes: He kept insisting that he doesn't have time after band to grease the cork since he only has 5 minutes to get to the next class:headache:
His clarinet teacher has scolded him about not taking better care of his instrument and not appreciating the new clarinet we bought him.

Long Island till I graduated HS in 77, then went to college in upstate nY, now live in Staten Island. Always tell people the next island I move to will be someplace warm and tropical, maybe Cozumel.

Debi

WHich college? I went to SUNY@Albany for a few years back in '78

oh my ST is in so much trouble!

If you read my previous posts you know what she did earlier and how all day I was worried because I didn't know where these people lived, didn't have phone number, nothing!
Well Jeff went to get her from church and when they got home- I laid into her (ofcourse :lmao: ) and she LIED TO ME!
First she said they didn't ride horses and just played games and even mentioned how her friend's room is decorated like horses (like Ruby's room)/etc.
THEN she says she has to tell me something...... she really didn't even go to that girls house! Her friend's mom had to redecorate her room (that she teaches in at the church) and so she just stayed at the church playing in the gym with this Jennifer girl and one other girl her age the entire time.

SO THIS ENTIRE TIME I was sitting at home for hours wondering about her, worrying about her, upset because she was off who knows where.... and all along she was at the church. and not only that but LIED to me (elaborate lie about the girls room/etc.) at first! and she could have called or something for crying out loud! (she admitted she just didn't think about it- was having fun playing basketball/etc. and just didn't think to call to say they weren't going to her friends house but instead staying at the church)
:headache:
Excuse me while I find some more chores for my ST to do..... I gotta make them good ones. I think the toilets need another cleaning.
Oh, Hon I am so glad that she is ok. Gosh Ryan has done stuff like that too. I am really sorry. I hate that they don't call. It makes me mad :( when he does this.
I am so glad that she is ok. I hope she understands that she really made you upset and worried. Teenagers just don't get it. More gray hair added to our heads for these kinda irresponsible acts.

Take care,

Um, there's a Sam's Club in Cabo. ::yes:: I think its on the outskirts so you'll have to definitely take a taxi. In PV its right across the street. As well as a Wal-Mart.

Sounds like a plan after we get done with Tequila tasting!!!:thumbsup2 Sound good to you??:confused3 :confused3

I like that - A man who knows exactly what to say! :rotfl:

Can I get you to talk with Steve? :scratchin - He's usually pretty good about saying ::yes:: to things I want to do. Never mind, you can lead by example. Taking a small break and looking for my phone, I heard it tinkle my IM but can't seem to find it. :magnify:

Oh well, it will show up. Right when I stop looking for it.

Took me a minute to figure out why there were no quote buttons on the other thread...

This is crazy!!! We are leaving the house in 29 hours and I just put down Bobby's pirate T-**** and decided to leave the rest of the hemming for the plane trip. Yes, Caroline...you can tell the girls not to worry. DD & I were at WM this afternoon and we hit the toddler section clearance rack and found two tank tops and a pair of shorts. I have done the iron on for one of the shirts...it is grey so should be okay for both emaration and PC day since it is a cross between the two. ;)

We stopped by WM after DD got a shot...at the doctor's office...because she woke up with a sore throat and the doctor who was on call for the 2-5 pm office hours today said that she had the worst case of strep that she has seen in a long time. ACK!!! At least it was something we could treat! I cheered when she said it was strep and then realized how terrible that sounded but knowing about our trip this week, agreed. I am so proud of DD. She didn't know about the S-H-O-T until the nurse came in and I said to let me tell her first. I told her that mommy had to make the best decision for her and since she hates to take medicine and we will be traveling I decided she needed to get a shot in her leg instead. She hugged me and barely whimpered. I didn't think that it was done because she hadn't squeezed me hard at all. She doesn't remember getting any other shots in her life. LOL! Selective memory in action I suppose. Her leg hurt alot so I ended up carrying her into WM and put her into the back of a regular cart. That is actually probably where she caught it from because she likes to push the cart when we shop and has developed a bad habit of biting her nails. :(

Anyhow...she has gone from a sluggish, quiet, cuddling little girl back into having a little bit of energy to bug her brother. Never thought that I would be happy to have that happen again. After a good day of rest tomorrow she will be in great shape for the trip out to CA.

Would a 12 pack hold you 'till Puerto Vallarta? I hear PV has a Wal-mart near port and we're there till 11:30pm, so maybe you could load up then? Or do they not have diet Mt. Dew in Mexico? In the meantime, we were renting a car in LA and planning a beer/water stop...I think we could swing a 12 pack too.

I was tibnking of ordering from Albertsons and having it delivered.

Another last minute packing question....

Does the ship carry Splenda?

Yup. But they hide it. You have to ask for it.

Hey Lisa, hope your DD gets better soon. There seems to be something small flying around here too. Not sure if its just my household but we all just yucky. Nothing major - just not well. I think its just nerves.

Cool, I'll give it a whirl.

Andy

Here is after automating... I didn't automate the entire thing. I like to be able to decide if auto levels or colors does a better job, and maybe sharpen or do other tweaking :)

See the itty bitty turtle?

Enjoy your TOAL and please take/post plenty of pictures.

Love ya Tanya

Tanya, I am so sorry to hear this, both of your father and you having to cancel this cruise. You will be with all of us in spirit and in our thoughts while you go through this difficult time. :grouphug:

wow but look at the street you have to cross! Or is that a HIGHWAY? LOL

This guys is a VERY BUSY street. Please keep in mind that they were doing construction while I was there in May and I think in July also. While there are crosswalks, the tour guides were recommending to get a taxi to cross the street. ::yes:: Its that busy and if any of you recall your mis-adventures with taxis and traffic - either way, your risking a bit. Just cross on the light, watch any kids and keep them with you and if all else fails, follow a local (but only on the light)

See I figured that since the CC stop is towards the end of our repo that it would be an acceptable risk to take:confused3 ;)

I like a woman that can go with the flow - that's exactly what I was thinking too! :rotfl2:

Glad DD is doing much better and had something that ha a quick cure (although a bit pointy . . .LOL). She was brave.

Happy packing! Time flies . . we'l be on the shp before you know it.

OMG Laura, I was bitten by a German Shepard when I was 7 years old. He took half my lip and I had to have very painful reconstructive surgery for many years as a child. It really stunk growing up because kids can be very cruel and I was called "scarface" for many years of my life. It was very tough. I am now 48 and still have the scar on my face. It has always been hard for me to talk about it and most people I know, I don't tell that to until I know them very well or if they ask (and most people don't). I hope your son Andrew was okay from it. I can understand what he went through.

:grouphug: I have never known anyone else who was attacked by a dog as a child. I was around 8 years old and out riding my bike selling Girl Scout calendars. Before I knew what was happening I was pulled off my bike and hit the street. A doberman had rushed out of its house when the owner opened the door to go inside. He didn't like bikes. Thankfully I was wearing rubber insulated boots that were mid-calf, a couple pairs of socks and a couple pairs of pants since it was January and pretty cold. He bit into my right lower back leg and didn't let go until his owner ran out to the street to stop him. His teeth broke the skin pretty deeply and after cleaning my wounds the couple bought every single calendar I had and gave me their address. When I got home the police were called and I got to ride in the front seat of the squad car [no seat belts probably] so the officer could check the shot records for the dog. They bought a couple of cases of cookies each year until they moved. I don't remember having a problem with dogs before then, we were a cat family though. Since it happened I have been terrified of dogs...especially big ones...and it is very difficult for me to not pass that fear on to my kids. They are both big animal lovers and don't think twice about playing around with many of the neighbor's dogs who they grew up with at the other house or here in our new neighborhood.
