Crash...........have you tried the lower resolution on movies. We took movies of DS wedding on our Sony and they turned out beautiful. Got a lot of miutes on each mini DVD. We are taking about 30 minis with us and an extra memory pro stick. We are also bringing our Digital Fugi camera.

I really don't give my family the choice. I'm like look, I'm packing now... give me your stuff or it's not going. LOL (besides a few things like Ruby's shorts she had to wear this week to band camp so now I gotta wash them, flat iron for hair, Jeff's electric razor/clippers ofcourse)

i still have to do laundry though. I need to get a move on huh? I will probably be up all night tonight. I haven't been sleeping well lately anyway and then if I stay up late (again) I can't like sleep in tomorrow- I have too much stuff to do tomorrow! Things that can't be done today (ie: take dog to his home-away-from-home for the duration of our trip, take bird to mom's house, go to highschool and beg for Ruby's schedule a few days early, etc.)

Atleast I KNOW that I'll be so tired after staying up tonight and all tomorrow that I'll actually SLEEP once we get to Hojo's so I'll be rested up for the first day at DL on Tuesday! hehe

Ruby won't be coming home soon... she's supposed to be back at church tonight at 7pm and we pick her up at 8:15-ish. I'll probably be at the church before 7 though just so I can see her arrive and know she's safe about an hour earlier...... LOL

OMG if you like absolute torture...go for it! I took a spinning class ONCE & I didn't think I'd survive it. The instructor made me ride a stationary bike at the fastest speed I could possibly pedal while standing up almost the entire time. It wasn't an advanced class or anything so I've been scared to try another one.

Well lobster is a little hard to pass up!

we just checked into the hotel so we can fly out first thing tomorrow morning. decided to check emails...and got an email saying our flight is cancelled!!! this has been an awful week...and i really need it to get better!

I am sorry to hear this. If I recall you are from the Southern Tier... so you have a long ride to get down to JFK.

Jet Blue is no longer the reliable airline they once were. I have been delayed or cancelled >50% of my flights on them this past year.



Jet Blue will not put you on another airline as they are not part of the inter-airline agreements that many full cost carriers participate it. So she is going to have to find space on another Jet Blue flight.

My advice... get on the phone ASAP... and wiggle your family onto a flight as quickly as possible.

Ahhhh you're scaring me! I've always had good luck with Jet Blue in the past, but this is not sounding good!

Sorry the best bagels and bialys were on Coney Island Ave off of Ave U.

Any Bagels or Bialys in Brooklyn are the best. We have Einsteins and it is the closest to a real bagel. Haven't seen a bialy for years. Def the water down here.

Convection with a low pressure center about 1000 miles east of the Windward Islands has become a little better organized. Further development of this system is possible over the next few days as it sweeps westward at 15 to 20 mph.

Another disturbance, not quite so well organized, is located several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands, and is following in the wake of the low east of the Windwards. This second system could also show some development over the next couple of days.

Finally, a large cluster of thunderstorms and downpours emerged off the coast of Africa Sunday and is now south of the Cape Verdes. This disturbance, too, bears watching as it plows westward.

Here is after automating... I didn't automate the entire thing. I like to be able to decide if auto levels or colors does a better job, and maybe sharpen or do other tweaking

I swapped in auto colors and it seems to emphasize the reds more than auto levels. I'll just wait and see what shows up in the camera and then decide.

I should have some images after our first port of call.

grr...i'm so upset right now! i was really looking forward to this trip to get my mind off of things...and it's just not gonna happen!
we went over to the airport to see what was going on...and they told us...there are NO flights for us tomorrow at all! the earliest one he could find is one on tues...but we wont get into cali til almost 2 i think it was. i dont even remember now...cuz i'm so irritated! i'm supposed to be taking it easy...but now i feel like we are gonna be a bit rushed when we get there now! my bday is weds...and we had a non stress day planned....taking it easy...dinner....but now i think we're gonna have to do the parks...so we can use our tickets that we bought!
i don't know. it's just so frustrating! i guess it could be worse...at least we had the extra time before the cruise!

This is crazy!!! We are leaving the house in 29 hours and I just put down Bobby's pirate T-**** and decided to leave the rest of the hemming for the plane trip. Yes, Caroline...you can tell the girls not to worry. DD & I were at WM this afternoon and we hit the toddler section clearance rack and found two tank tops and a pair of shorts. I have done the iron on for one of the shirts...it is grey so should be okay for both emaration and PC day since it is a cross between the two.

We stopped by WM after DD got a shot...at the doctor's office...because she woke up with a sore throat and the doctor who was on call for the 2-5 pm office hours today said that she had the worst case of strep that she has seen in a long time. ACK!!! At least it was something we could treat! I cheered when she said it was strep and then realized how terrible that sounded but knowing about our trip this week, agreed. I am so proud of DD. She didn't know about the S-H-O-T until the nurse came in and I said to let me tell her first. I told her that mommy had to make the best decision for her and since she hates to take medicine and we will be traveling I decided she needed to get a shot in her leg instead. She hugged me and barely whimpered. I didn't think that it was done because she hadn't squeezed me hard at all. She doesn't remember getting any other shots in her life. LOL! Selective memory in action I suppose. Her leg hurt alot so I ended up carrying her into WM and put her into the back of a regular cart. That is actually probably where she caught it from because she likes to push the cart when we shop and has developed a bad habit of biting her nails.

Anyhow...she has gone from a sluggish, quiet, cuddling little girl back into having a little bit of energy to bug her brother. Never thought that I would be happy to have that happen again. After a good day of rest tomorrow she will be in great shape for the trip out to CA.

I am glad to hear K is feeling better. It's really almost here!!

So sorry to hear this....I know it's got to be extremely frustrating and disappointing to have to delay your departure. Hopefully you can do something fun tomorrow to distract the kids (and yourself).

Airlines drive me crazy. At least you're home to spend the day vs some-run-down-dirty-and-so-disgusting-that-you're-scared-to-touch-anything-but-it's-"free" hotel because the airlines messed up your flight....not that that's ever happened to me! It's happened to me twice--both times on trips to Philadelphia.

Wow, I feel so bad for you all. I wish things would just go a little better for you. Maybe tomorrow you can go to the movies to get your mind off things a little. I hope you all can get through the next two days quickly and get to CA where you want to be.

Where are you all staying? We are at HoJo's across from Disneyland. Maybe we can see you all before the ship leaves. We are heading out Tuesday as well. We leave Denver at 11:05 a.m. I will be thinking of you and hoping you are all on your way as well.

Similar situation with us. I bought my own clarinet in high school with my babysitting money and treated it like gold too. Of course we've had to replace the cork and repair it since Andrew has been using it He kept insisting that he doesn't have time after band to grease the cork since he only has 5 minutes to get to the next class
His clarinet teacher has scolded him about not taking better care of his instrument and not appreciating the new clarinet we bought him.

ugh kids huh? *sigh*

Oh, Hon I am so glad that she is ok. Gosh Ryan has done stuff like that too. I am really sorry. I hate that they don't call. It makes me mad when he does this.

Then it happened again with another suitcase, the zipper tore away from the case! Guess I should be glad we picked up two to begin with. We still might need another one, we'll see tomorrow when I finish the last minute things! Bummer, would have been nice to spend that money on other things, like those things that shine and wrap around my finger!!!! I guess that was on my mind since tomorrow is our 18th wedding anniversary.

Hey Lisa, hope your DD gets better soon. There seems to be something small flying around here too. Not sure if its just my household but we all just yucky. Nothing major - just not well. I think its just nerves.

The nerves have been bothering me for 3 weeks now. I will be fine once I get on the plane and we are actually starting this trip!
