Last Mango in Paris-- didn't realize that captain Tony was a "real" person, but I've only recently become a Jimmy Buffett fan.
BRUSH WITH FAME
I had lunch with Vincent Price back in 1987. I was only a freshman in college, but had won a Rotary International scholarship and attended all of the Rotary club meetings. My sponsor knew Vincent and when he was in town for an event, had him join us for lunch.
Oh, I bet a college freshman found those Rotary meetings exciting.

(Nothing against Rotary, I've had jobs that put me on the "rubber chicken circut" as a speaker, so I've been to lots of those meetings.) Anyone have a happy buck??
Yup, Capt. Tony is a real guy. I think it is on Feeding Frenzy that JB rants about the people of KW electing their favorite bartender mayor - that's Capt. Tony. Sloppy Joe's plays up the fact that Hemmingway hung out there - Sloppy Joe's was in Capt. Tony's present location in Papa's day, so he really hung out at Capt. Tony's bar.
I remembered a couple of other brushes with fame..
I met Charo at Disneyland one day..she was with her hubby and son. Also Cindy Crawford with her family.
I had to collect on a few celebrities due to work
I spoke with Kim Richards by phone for work. (not a collection account)
I went to school with members of Oingo Boingo and Striper (Christian Rock Group)..they both performed for us at our school before they hit the big time!
I didn't say they were exciting![]()
Coochie cochie! She was on the Love Boat as often as Joey Fatone is on the Magic. I would just die if she showed up on our cruise - especially since we are going to Love Boat ports (puerto vaillarta & acapulco)

Somehow I don't see Oingo Boingo and Styper hanging out together.
