Well, since they paid my way through college and provided me with a summer program to learn Japanese culture and paid for a month in Japan, sitting through an hour lunch meeting every week was the least I could do. Free lunch to a college student was huge, although I did have to dress up for it.

I just got the free lunch. I'd already paid for college and grad school, so I was bored. :lmao:

Yes....good luck for baby. Because if it weren't raining you could have like.......ummmmm.......gone for a bike ride or something.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
OK, last call at Rockin Bar D some night ask me about DH riding his bike into a parked car and DS8.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hemmingway house is cool. My sister had her wedding there!

Way cool! I love the house. I love Key West.

Delurking to share...

Lived down the street from Kelly McGillis (Top Gun; Witness) in Mohnton PA. One of her daughter's would come over to sled down our hill.

Mekhi Phifer and his family/firiends rode my safari truck at Kilimanjaro Safaris last year.

Cool! De-lurk some more - we don't bite.
...well most of us don't....

That reminds me - brush with a famous set - we have friends who lived in Viper's house from Top Gun. It is Coast Guard housing at Point Loma in San Diego. Oh and the O Club at Miramar looks nothing like the one in the movie.

LOL! That's moving day. :)

Well....sometimes the earth moves....

Well Kim...

... I think we choose wisely. This camera should be one of the LAST pocket digicams I EVER buy... short of losing it or having it stolen. I've been coveting this thing ever since Roger (and everyone else) has posted about this... and in particular ... Rogers' underwater shots. If I had this camera ready 2 days ago i could have captured in the water/underwater movie clips and still images of our daughters FIRST experiences at what we'd credit as swimming free! Oh well... we will have to wait til it gets here...

And Cheryl... I noticed someone posting it was your birthday .. assumed to be today.... so may I offer CHEERS and singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes from the gang!

cheers.gif

I once again thank all of you for making my birthday a little more special!!:grouphug:

I went to our local VERIZON store tonight to ask about getting international calling.. the guy,, err kid told me I can get that changed at verizon.com. I told him but this is a full service store. his response was, but you will get get faster service there... I said.. that means I have to go home get to the web site and figure it out for myself vs you just changing it here.. He said well. umm yeah!!!!
Mind you this person was wearing a searcuker suit and pink polka dot tie.. Gotta love technology!!

Cheryl its sounds... looks like your having a great birthday..

To add to the baby gueses.. I had no trouble with my daughter..she was a c-section after 24 hrs in labor.. No sickness at all. My son onthe other hand.. So so sick for months.. and he gave me such aches and pains.. My pelvic area ache with every movement. The doctor thought I had a broken pelvis.. After I had him too by c-section. .. no pain at all. didnt even take tylenol for incisional pain..

When I went to Paris last year I called and got it all set up, supposedly. I tried to make a call in Paris but it wouldn't work. Finally was able to call AT&T and they had me hit a few keys and it finally worked. So you might want to check it out.

Hehe that reminds me.. When we had T-Moble, they said DH's phone would work in Australia and NZ... It didn't...

Like the old wive's tale that its good luck if it rains on the conception day?

Or is that wedding.... :lmao: :lmao:

There's always the Chinese Gender Calendar!

Which is apparently very accurate. Works formy sister's DD, my SIL's boy and girl and many of my SIL's friends! But is wrong for my DD....

Debi, You need to order the tux soon. They want the orders in by 2 weeks prior to the cruise.

Just an FYI.. at JC PENNYS they sell tuxedo sets. you can get one to own for that same price. And if there is a coupon you can get 20% of it as well.. Its not a fancy name ... just STAFFORD for men.. At least the men will have it for another cruise or special occasion!!

Heehee
So we met Captain Tony twice in Key West. On our honeymoon (1993) we just met him. When we went back from our 5 year anniversary we hung out with him. I can only find the honeymoon picture in 2 minutes or less...

Thanks, but..

With packing for so many days and the fact that my DH's weight fluxuates almost as much as mine does, it seemed better for us to go with the rental. If his weight stays the same for a while we may go and invest in a tux later:rolleyes:

But isn't it going to be a hassle converting meters to feet all the time?

I've been looking at that camera for awhile now, but I hate the fact that it takes XD cards. I prefer using SD cards as they are easier to find. Also, in bright sun, it is so helpful to have a viewfinder as well as the screen. So, I'm still looking. I guess I wish Canon made a waterproof one. Perhaps they do, but I haven't found it yet.

I don't think there is any certain way for boys or girls when pregnant. DS was an easy pregnancy...felt bad one day the entire time. With DD I may have felt good one day in nine months. Someone told me I was having a girl because it was too much hormone in my body and that was why I was feeling sick all the time. :sad2: I think that it was just her tude developing early. LOL!

Funny I always heard that with a boy, the hormones conflicted with mom's so that is what made it worse! :lmao: Like I said, it's all old wive's tales anyway :)

I would never be able to cruise while pregnant. I was never "over" morning sickness, and it last all day long. I was sick until the day I had my son, and at about 6 months (when I was pregnant with my dd) I felt a little better, but still not great. My mom and sister were the same way. We are just not good at being pregnant.

I had that happen as well. Six month son an IV. Good news was I had two healthy and happy babies eeven if I did not have a hppy pregenancies.

I had hyperemesis gravidarum (constant morning sickness day and night the entire pregnancy) for both my pregnancies (twin boys and a 3rd boy) and am convinced it was a result of the conflict of hormones. After I lost 29 pounds in the first 9 weeks they finally diagnosed the problem and I was on a feeding tube for more than 20 weeks. The good news was they told me the sickest moms have the healthiest babies and in my case this was certainly true. Although I certainly wouldn't wish this upon anyone :sad2:

The quote for the person who asked about how many pictures we took on the last Panama Canal cruise didn't show up and I can't find it but we took over 2,000 pictures. This is why we bring our laptop to download pictures.

Wow all these brushes with the famous! They filmed the court room scenes for the movie Hoffa in the building I work in. Jack Nickelson and Danny DeVito's trailers were outside my office windows! They also filmed the movie Judicial Consent in our building with Bonnie Bedelia and Billy Wirth. Knew the father of Juile Champenella who was one of Tom Arnold's wives. Mitchel Albom, he is very short!

OMG, looks like we got married when we were 12!

You guys looks like you could of been a member of the 80's brat pack! St. Elmo's Fire!b:lmao:

:lmao: During my 2nd pregnancy with DD, I asked the mid-wife why I didn't get the linea negra yet and she said ..."I have a theory...". She figures that the hormones from carrying a boy could make some of the symptoms more noticeable. Now that was how it worked for me, my hormone related symptoms were more intense with DS than DD:confused3

I got a very dark line on my stomach with ds, but nothing with dd. My OB/GYN had same "theory" as yours.

Thanks, but..

And that is the EXACT same reason we order a tux each time on board for DH. And the same goes for our DSs (who change sizes almost daily right now . . .LOL).

Renting the tux is easy and pain free. It's nice to wear it and give it back and NOT have to pack it (I'm already super concerned about 50# limits and 61 inch limits . .yikes ). I'm even considering mailing all our snorkel gear! Wish they did rented formal wear for women, too .. .

Are you all excited yet? I am excited for you and still wish we could go but we can't. We will be at WDW on September 1st to welcome you all home. :grouphug:

Have a great cruise! :thumbsup2
