Maybe we could also have a volunteer from each deck who is willing to post an update on their cabin door. If we list the 'update doors' in the Pirate Navigator, people would know where to get the info. I'll take Deck 2.

PC day might not work since their photogs will be all over the place, but we can ask.

Thanks for volunteering Diane!

I'll happily take on deck 5 if some-one hasn't offered - still playing ketchup!

I haven't read thru the thread but if some one hasn't offered from Deck 6, I take the Deck 6 for the updates

Regarding the Disney Visa OBC, I just spoke to a very friendly & cheerful DCL rep & they tell me they can neither confirm nor deny whether I have that credit, that I have to have my travel agent call & they will tell them yes or no. "However, if there are any other questions that are not reservation specific, I'd be glad to help you"! Ah okay well thanks again for your superty dee duper hassle free information!!! :headache:

When I emailed DU a while back I was told, "If I booked it with a Disney Visa then I should have the credit & they can't tell by looking at my reservation". I don't have an actual DU agent assigned to my reservation so I guess I get whoever is available to answer my emails. Wonder if I should bother emailing them again & hope for someone to make a phone call on my behalf? I know once I get on board & it's not added to my account I am SOL at that point. :sad1:

I am sorry you got a not so helpful cm, you can try calling again. Officially you should be able to ask about the OBC because you could add your own money towards an onboard account and they need to be able to tell you that it was added.

It is true that they cannot "see" the onboard credit on the reservation as it isn't printed anywhere, but they should at least be able to call DCL for you and check that it is in the notes

Since you are booked with DU maybe Winotracy can help you with it

I want to do a big photo like that- but we don't have the shirts so we'll stand out I guess? LOL

Well maybe standing out is a good thing because you'll be able to point to your teeny tiny little faces & say "Hey that's us!" But I actually don't think you'll stand out that much, because not everyone has pirate t-shirts and those that do may only have purchased the black (like us). :goodvibes

Thank you, but I think that just posting it on my stateroom door (6616) will be the easiest way for everyone to remember where to go for the info once I make the booking with Shutters. :thumbsup2

Okay so the decision is...ding ding ding!!!

I'm going to go to shutters & set this up on board ASAP. When I have all the info I will post it on my stateroom door 6616 by 3pm on the first sea day. I will try for PC day afternoon first & if not I will pick Saturday 8/23 (a non-theme night sea day) 1pm as my second choice.

Info has been posted on the website! Thank you for your attention!

Another thing to keep in mind - most DIS folk will be in Captain's or Crew dining - perhaps they will make an announcement?

Better yet...maybe we can make it a game of telephone. Wonder what it would end up being by the time it made it around the room?

Sorry Dan knowing your sense of humor, I couldn't resist! That might be an idea though. Thanks! :goodvibes

That stinks! I just called and the woman I talked to had no problem looking both of our reservations up. According to her, the credit had been added. So maybe you should try calling again...maybe you'll get someone who will help you.

The reason I wanted to check beforehand was because we never got it last year, and I thought that we should have qualified for it. And with 2 cabins, we're talking about $100!

Good luck!
Kim

Anyone interested in a Tinkerbell Tankini from DisneyShopping? It's a 16, but fits like a 22/24.

Looks like this (I stole the pic from ebay)

New, never worn. If interested, send me a PM.

You can always walk around the pools with a sandwich board ringing a bell?:lmao:

Here ye Here ye!

Chrissie

Forget the pools. Go to the bars!

Take Charge Diane to the rescue!!

Folks without pirate t-****s who don't want to stand out can wear plain black or white shirts. Maybe someone could photoshop the logo on for you.

Of course anyone can wear anything they want...except maybe Earl and his Speedo.

We'll put that in the Navigator.

Thanks Got2travel and Renegade7 for the info. Have to check with DH but may try to meet you at the restaurant. Hope to see you tomorrow.

Shelley, I just checked the larger previews in the cart and they look fine to me. ????? The image was cropped on the Mickey one because it just didn't fit right so I cropped it with not as much showing on the left. They aren't showing up blurry to me. :confused3
The mickey one is the one that's blurry- plus charges two upload fees which I don't understand.
BUT I got an email about free magnets and tried to upload MY copy (saved on computer from your copy that you put in my account) to it to get the free magnets..... and it's blurry too! ugh ugh ugh
The other one- it's still cutting off the bottom half of our name part on the bottom left. vistaprint is getting on my last nerve and I need to get these ordered in order to get them in time! :(

But meanwhile- have to say another thanks to you...... I printed out the signs you made me (last night) and laminated them and magnetized them (hehe) and they are on my fridge right now. That's where everyone stores all their doormagnets before the cruise- right? right? LOL

I dare someone to make a door magnet out of that!
:lmao:
No wait- DCL might remove that one. Do they remove door magnets they feel are inappropriate? LOL

I know of one off the top of my head for sure, the daughter of Stepht5, but I believe she is currently away and will post when she is back
yep....

ooooh i could use a penny.....

My dd was 13 last trip.... Her friends were all 12 and in the Lab... The Lab would NOT let us sign her up. She felt too young for Stack and OQ was boring and practicly non-existant.

However...If DD does make it "back on ship".... I'm sure Ruby, my dd and Caroline's DD Sarah (14) will have the ship either under their control or at the bottom of the ocean by day 2 or 3.
Someone else posted after you asking if you added your dd on the trip again. Is your dd going?
Well maybe if they have lots of 14yr old girls they'll end up having fun. I just know my daughter won't have fun hanging out with MOST older teens and doing things older teens like to do..... and figured she'd get on the older teens nerves (bigtime). But considering we have so many kids on this cruise (right? or is that countered by many not bringing kids because school is going on during that time and it's especially difficult for teens to miss highschool so the teen aged group might not be a large group?) it's probably possible that they will be too full to let her move down.
I just want her to have fun and not be bored. for a variety of reasons obviously but primarily because this is probably going to be her last cruise until maybe she's an adult. I don't know if we'll cruise again before she graduates highschool. But also I don't want her having idle time... to possibly get in trouble. Plus I can SO see her joining in any behavior (even against our rules or bad behavior in general for a cruise ship) if others are doing it- I can see her being a follower in order (in her mind) to fit in with older teens.
I might just give her strict instructions to hang out with Samantha at all times (cause I know Samantha will be a good girl) BUT then I'd have to worry if she'd get on samantha's nerves. LOL

I have a 17dd that LOVES Twilight & the Jonas Bros.! She doesn't like HP..... Of course she also likes alot of other more *grown up* stuff! LOL!
That's exactly what my daughter said when I mentioned those things to her- she said Oh I love Twilight! (I already knew she liked JOnas brothers) but she kinda scrunched up her face and said I don't really like HP though. LOL Hmm maybe they will get along well! And I'm all for Samantha's maturity rubbing off on Ruby some. hehe

Perfect! DH and DSs are diving in Aruba so there will be plenty of underwater footage by then.

Michelle
do you mind me asking where/how/when (etc etc LOL) they are diving in Aruba? I've still got to work out something for DH to scuba dive on this trip and Aruba seems like the best place for us......

Sounds great! Made a note in my notebook about it. :)

I have the white PC design BUT it's on a coverup dress (to wear over swimsuit- can't wear it alone because the arm holes are too huge! I'd be flashing people side shots of things people don't want to see on a disney cruise LOL) -DH has the black shirt..... and that's it!
The only white shirts we'll have is the disney club shirts- maybe we can just all wear those for the pictures so atleast WE (our family) will match. so we can find our family. LOL
