I tendered my resignation today...I have mixed emotions...I will miss the kids and feel awful I could not say good bye...but it was time...

I just made the decision a month and a half ago to close my store, and I am closing in 2 weeks, right now feeling a little sentimental about it, but I know it is the right decision for me and my family. I always laugh when I see someone post this..I have been on 3 Disney Cruises and they have never announced our name...I am not sure why..i know the first one, everyone was a little scattered from a hurricane but I dont know on the other two. Hopefully they will this time!

Wow...home from a long day (long for me..I haven't walked around so much plus it started out a little stressful)

This morning DD had a dentist appt. You would think no big deal but we have not had much luck with dentists when she was smaller..one even yanked her head sideways when she didn't open wide anough when she was 4..anyways..she stresses out big time..we went and no worries! Teeth cleaned ---well behaved and no cavities Of course..it cost me a Webkinz (we always got to pick something out if we were good at the dentist and had no cavities) I know... spoiling the child but we are lucky that at 11 1/2 - she has never had a cavity.

Went over to my Mom's who just had her house painted and part of it was peeling off..had to deal with the contractor...and then set off for the Mall... I am not a big shopper but knew there were things we needed to get.. the first 3 items on my list..couldn't find anywhere...it eventually got better.. I found what I wanted for DH as a gift for our VR/anniversary gift...DD found another gift for her SM (this cruise can't come fast enough!) and a hair clip for her dress for our VR...so it worked out.

My younger daughter just turned 18 in May, she is a little shy at first, but loves Disney just like the rest of us, and can be a really fun person once you get to know her. She has a great sense of humor. A lot of her friends are a year younger than her, so maybe you can get together. She will be looking for people to hang out with, and since it is such a long cruise, it would be great if got to know each other. We are in Cabin 6036, what is your Cabin number? She is actually on her way back from WDW right now with one of her friends.

Regarding the Disney Visa OBC, I just spoke to a very friendly & cheerful DCL rep & they tell me they can neither confirm nor deny whether I have that credit, that I have to have my travel agent call & they will tell them yes or no. "However, if there are any other questions that are not reservation specific, I'd be glad to help you"! Ah okay well thanks again for your superty dee duper hassle free information!!!

When I emailed DU a while back I was told, "If I booked it with a Disney Visa then I should have the credit & they can't tell by looking at my reservation". I don't have an actual DU agent assigned to my reservation so I guess I get whoever is available to answer my emails. Wonder if I should bother emailing them again & hope for someone to make a phone call on my behalf? I know once I get on board & it's not added to my account I am SOL at that point.

Isn't it true that you not only have to book with the card, but also have to pay in full with it??

I really need a vacation after today. First off, I had to come into work early to pull a 12 hour shift. Before that I had to take my cat to the vet and my car completely died half way there. Then once I got there I had to put my cat down. And then on top of it, I wasn't able to go to Disneyland today. For you that don't know, today is Disneyland's Birthday.

Happy Birthday Disneyland!

This is the first time in 9 years that I haven't been there to celebrate its birthday there.

I am so sorry about your cat. We had to put our best friend, our dog Chivas down in September, and I cried for weeks. I know how it feels.

First time we sailed with Disney I didn't know they blow it every day at noon. I was taking a nice nap at the adult pool, when it went off....yes, I literally jumped out of my skin.

Okay but HOW do you get it the size in photoshop? I've tried everything- cropping or resizing on the site doesn't work. resizing on my own and uploading that doesn't work- it still tries to cut off stuff no matter HOW tiny I make it.I think that might by why it gets blurry too-if I resize it myseld and then upload it- it's like it resizes it automatically to make it bigger again and that makes it blurry. It's driving me nuts!

I sure need it tonight! Geez what a day. It started with going out to lunch where the service was poor (we're used to that in this town though). Then we took DD to have blood drawn for allergy testing... Apparently no one knows how to draw blood on a 1yr old so they missed in both arms and then ya know moved the needle around try and find the vein. They got NO blood... We made them stop when she was alternating between holding her breath till she was blue and hyperventillating!

Then DH took my car to the nursery and Home Depot 45 minutes away. He calls me because the alarm is going off and he can't disarm it or start the car or anything....

Think I'll head to Pirate chat after DD goes to bed

My TA (who I think might be your TA also) called earlier to see if I had any questions about the cruise. I asked her whether we would qualify for the $50 Disney VISA OBC in addition to the OBC offered by the TA. She said that if the promotion was going on, we should get it. I also asked if it was automatic or if the TA had to request it when he or she called in the payments. She seemed to think it was automatic. So....do you know if this promotion is going on now, and if we will get it if the TA doesn't specifically ask for it? I know that we used our DV to pay for last year's cruise and we never got the credit so I'm questioning if there's something we should have done. Also, if we do qualify, would each cabin get the credit (since we booked two cabins)?

Hmmmmm, I emailed my TA a long time ago about this & they said that if I was eligible I would receive it, but they had no way of knowing ahead of time? Would DCL check my account for me even though I have a TA?

I called DCL directly and they verified all of my OBC for me (even from the TA).

We have 4 children, 10, 8, 3 and 1.5. I humbly apologize in advance for any ruckus you hear through the wall. Oh goodness, it's so much less pressure when you don't know your neighbors...

They are really very good, but I'm afraid to say that lest I eat my words...

Kids are what this cruise is all about....little kids and us big kids (sometimes we make more of a ruckus than the little ones). If you don't like kids, you should cruise on another cruise line. Just my 2 cents!

It is definitely worth it if you are looking for a special treat to do in DL. We did it the last time we were there, which was our first trip to DL, and we are going back. We will be there Friday night at 9, but don't wast time if you want to book it, do it asap. They fill up fast.
