Anyway, I did not get far. I called DCL & they say I can NOT book this ahead of time. I will gladly go to shutters as soon as they open & speak to the manager & try to set up a time, hopefully for the afternoon of PC day & then stick an invite on everybody's fish who is listed on the Pirate Roster. Does that sound feasible?

Opinions, ideas, thoughts?

Maybe we could also have a volunteer from each deck who is willing to post an update on their cabin door. If we list the 'update doors' in the Pirate Navigator, people would know where to get the info. I'll take Deck 2.

PC day might not work since their photogs will be all over the place, but we can ask.

I am sorry you got a not so helpful cm, you can try calling again. Officially you should be able to ask about the OBC because you could add your own money towards an onboard account and they need to be able to tell you that it was added.

It is true that they cannot "see" the onboard credit on the reservation as it isn't printed anywhere, but they should at least be able to call DCL for you and check that it is in the notes

Since you are booked with DU maybe Winotracy can help you with it

That stinks! I just called and the woman I talked to had no problem looking both of our reservations up. According to her, the credit had been added. So maybe you should try calling again...maybe you'll get someone who will help you.

The reason I wanted to check beforehand was because we never got it last year, and I thought that we should have qualified for it. And with 2 cabins, we're talking about $100!

That's exactly what my daughter said when I mentioned those things to her- she said Oh I love Twilight! (I already knew she liked JOnas brothers) but she kinda scrunched up her face and said I don't really like HP though. LOL Hmm maybe they will get along well! And I'm all for Samantha's maturity rubbing off on Ruby some. hehe

My DD (14) loves Twilight, but she is not a fan of HSM, Jonas Bros. & Miley Cyrus.


I have the white PC design BUT it's on a coverup dress (to wear over swimsuit- can't wear it alone because the arm holes are too huge! I'd be flashing people side shots of things people don't want to see on a disney cruise LOL) -DH has the black shirt..... and that's it!
The only white shirts we'll have is the disney club shirts- maybe we can just all wear those for the pictures so atleast WE (our family) will match. so we can find our family. LOL

Cool! I hope these wash well (ie the red design or red trim doesn't bleed when washed. There's a reason I usually avoid white shirts with red design or trim LOL) because we'll be wearing them one day at DL, that one night on the cruise- and then for these pictures! hehe

Coral. A dear friend had a similar experience with an OB here......She found out afterwards that he wasn't *allowed* to deliver babies at any of the Arlington Hospitals (he had her change to Grand Prairie)......
I had a horrible first delivery experience (not nearly as severe as yours & my friends) but, I know it was a good thing we were so young and didn't know better (I was 17, dh was 18 when we had our first child) otherwise I would have been more terrified during my delivery! And my *OB* is now in the Medi Spa business........

OMG!! I have the exct same thing. I tried mine on and it is enormous! Not worth sending it back.
I can't find mine but it is a Mickey Tankini, coral colored. Never worn either. Mine is probably a 20. I would be happy to bring for anyone that would wear it.

DD saw the Titanic one night and her eyes never blinked near the end. I kept asking her if she was okay and had to explain to her why we will not be around any iceburgs where we are going on the Magic. She has gotten on the ship since then. LOL! I have not and will not see the latest Poisidon movie. The previews bothered me. OY!

My DD was terrified too when we did our first DCL cruise. She was 11 at the time and had also seen Titanic...so funny...went though the same thing. Had to explain the water was too warm, we couldn't hit an iceberg. Sometimes they are so cute....and then they grow up.

Has anyone filled out the online check in forms yet?
When I try to fill mine out it cuts everything I write in half so you can't see the top of the letters / numbers.

In the past I haven't had that problem so I am not sure if it is the form or my computer

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thank you!!! I've been looking to change our Palo reservation. We had the last night (CC Day) but I really didn't want to go the last night. Now we changed it to the first night. Still not ideal, but we're still going to our regular dinner too & maybe saving dessert for then. I think by the end of the cruise we wouldn't be as excited about MORE FOOD!

Of course if a 6pm opens up on a sea day, I'll be happy to change again!

As a TA I can tell you that it is NOT automatic the code has to be added manually on the reservation or you will not receive the $50 OBC. I double check at final payment time that the code is added to each reservation that is eligible for it. Your TA can just ask DCL to add the code

Code I believe is DCC

If you have a regular reservation, not a booked onboard one with the 10% discount and onboard credit, and you used the Disney Visa for all payments you will receive the $50 onboard credit BUT the code to get this OBC has to be manually added, on DCL's end, to each reservation that is eligible.

Your TA needs to call DCL and double check that the DVisa code has been applied to your reservation. I do this for every reservation that pays with Disney Visa and it has to be added, it isn't automatic

You should be able to just call and check on the OBC yourself

Funny, we were told as long as the DV is used the credit is applied automatically due to the first 6 digits of the card.??? They were going to get a popup installed in the reservation computers that would identify the caller as having a DV. Wonder if it was ever implemented? Guess not! This discussion was last year before the Med cruises.

Regarding the Disney Visa OBC, I just spoke to a very friendly & cheerful DCL rep & they tell me they can neither confirm nor deny whether I have that credit, that I have to have my travel agent call & they will tell them yes or no. "However, if there are any other questions that are not reservation specific, I'd be glad to help you"! Ah okay well thanks again for your superty dee duper hassle free information!!!

When I emailed DU a while back I was told, "If I booked it with a Disney Visa then I should have the credit & they can't tell by looking at my reservation". I don't have an actual DU agent assigned to my reservation so I guess I get whoever is available to answer my emails. Wonder if I should bother emailing them again & hope for someone to make a phone call on my behalf? I know once I get on board & it's not added to my account I am SOL at that point.

I'm glad you finally did get to speak to someone. I was going to say, I have never had a problem getting that info and have always booked with a TA. Must have been a new cm.

My younger daughter just turned 18 in May, she is a little shy at first, but loves Disney just like the rest of us, and can be a really fun person once you get to know her. She has a great sense of humor. A lot of her friends are a year younger than her, so maybe you can get together. She will be looking for people to hang out with, and since it is such a long cruise, it would be great if got to know each other. We are in Cabin 6036, what is your Cabin number?
