Hola Andrew!
I tend to think they must have had a few who never paid their cruise off... and their deposit was at risk if final payment was not made. I've heard mention that the cruise lines want their full payment - but will wait a few days or even a few weeks past the published deadline to collect the final payment in full!
Yes I have read that as well, but I think they will wait a few days, give a call to customer or
Travel agent, as a prompt before the forfeit of the deposit, just in case there is an error somewhere, as we are now under the 60 days mark, I think its too late for that reason, they would give days maybe a week, but not a month extra.
Maybe, people cannot get the flights, or the cost is too much, or people are sick and claim on the insurance.
I think we will see the odd one or two pop up, I did say that in 2005, the ship was full, had some cancellations at Pay in full mark, less than this years one, and then had a couple in the last two weeks or so, I met one guy on the cruise who booked only weeks before the cruise, and really didn't know what all the fuss was about.
I think we will see more as the economic situation bites on both sides of the Atlantic, its not just the cruise price, but everything else as well.
And just for you, tonights Doctor Who..... title
