Interesting, still getting the odd cancellation then, so people would loose a bit, as we are now under two months away.

Hola Andrew!

I tend to think they must have had a few who never paid thier cruise off... and their deposit was at risk if final payment was not made. I've heard mention that the cruise lines want thier full payment - but will wait a few days or even a few weeks past the published deadline to collect the final payment in full!

Is anyone organising a DTD meet before the cruise for people staying in the area and not going into the parks?

If not, I'm happy to arrange if others are interested. Perhaps an ice cream social or some :cake:?

Yes I have read that as well, but I think they will wait a few days, give a call to customer or Travel agent, as a prompt before the forfeit of the deposit, just in case there is an error somewhere, as we are now under the 60 days mark, I think its too late for that reason, they would give days maybe a week, but not a month extra.

Maybe, people cannot get the flights, or the cost is too much, or people are sick and claim on the insurance.

I think we will see the odd one or two pop up, I did say that in 2005, the ship was full, had some cancellations at Pay in full mark, less than this years one, and then had a couple in the last two weeks or so, I met one guy on the cruise who booked only weeks before the cruise, and really didn't know what all the fuss was about.

I think we will see more as the economic situation bites on both sides of the Atlantic, its not just the cruise price, but everything else as well.

And just for you, tonights Doctor Who..... title

Patch Swap

Please send me a PM if you are interested in participating in the Girl Scout patch swap. You would bring a patch or patches from your area and swap with others for patches from their areas.

This could either be done by just dropping patches off at each others staterooms or perhaps we could pair it up with one of the badge sessions. Let me know what you think.

Some people may decide to swap with everyone, even though they might not receive something in return.

Please PM me the following information on the DIS to ReAnSt or post in this thread if you want to participate. Please do not post in one of the large threads as I unfortunately do not keep up.
DISname:
Real Name:
Number participating:
Girl Scout level(s):
Council and state you are from:
Stateroom #:
Number of patch swaps you want to participate in:
Do you want to drop swapped patches at staterooms or have a patch swap session?

This is the list of 11 participants I have so far for the patch swap. I may have missed some of you especially if you posted in one of the jumbo threads, as I have not been able to keep up.

Thanks so much for the "Happy Anniversary" wishes yesterday. So very nice of you all!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

We will celebrate today by having a lunch out at our favorite restaurant and a little shopping. Yesterday dh went to softball practice with dd8 (he helps coach the team), and I had a girl's night with some friends at a candle pouring party. It was the first time I had been to one, and it was really a lot of fun. Well, the margaritas probably made it even more fun! ;)

Happy Anniversary to all of you (popular day for weddings :scratchin )

Thank you for the good wishes, I am glad to report there isn't any 'heat' so maybe that is a good sign, I have had many doctors mis diagnose before, A GP said I didn't have a hernia before and I went private and they said I had to have an operation within a week for the hernia as it was so large! Then there is my usual blood condition that a few years back ,was all in my mind, now it has a diagnosis.
I am not a Doctor, but I think is a tear in my ligament from my walking, but going along with the 'option' of DVT, as you do not wish to take a risk on that.

Andrew, I hope you feel better soon  . You have not been the healthiest bugger as of late. It must be very frustrating

Does anyone need a 5 day Park Hopper for Disneyland? I have one (unused) that I will sell cheap. PM me.

Awww, Kim beat me to it. How very nice of you to offer, Stace.

I started reading your trip report last night. Loving it :thumbsup2 .

Welcome back!!!

....now where were THOSE photo files again?.....

Oh yeah.... below on the left are 3 of us. Some may notice that Diane is a bit blurry... and you see... she did not quite approve of the expression that was originally captured... however, I had this BLURRY image in a different photo of her that we sort of substituted here. < wink > On the right hand image you can see the huge pool BALL!

Thanks to you and Sam for being the DIS Meet Photgrapher..nice job:thumbsup2

Although, I did ask for a little airbrushing on me, perhaps I should have requested a sandblaster :rotfl2:

:
T-**** are progressing according to plan. :thumbsup2 We could really use more help packing them up. So far it's just Monica and I. Wed, July 2 in Sacramento - if you can make it - PM me. PLEASE!

.

Aww, I wish I lived a little closer. I definately would have loved to join your packing party. I hope you get more volunteers. That's alot of work for just two of you.

ohhh fun! I came across this today while searching for something else. It is the after dinner drink at Palo! It was just fabulous...anybody know if they still serve it?

Schipinnio - special cocktail from Italy

Absolut Vodka 1/2 oz
A sparkling wine (Prosecco) 2 oz.
Lemon Sherbert 4 scoops

we have an audio clip of our server saying the name....we loved how it sounded! LOL

I love, love that drink!!!! I always meant to go back to the Palo Bar just to have another one, but never made it. I could put that on my cereal in the morning  ...yummy, yummy

Funny how this place slows down on the weekends :confused3 .

We are off to a BBQ Festival in Boston today. Weather is perfect for it.

Hope everyone has great weekend!!!

Have a great time!

We (the kids and I) are going to Bip's house this afternoon for her youngest dd's 8th b-day. I'm charging my camera battery now. ;)

Our anniversary is two days later - Aug. 5th. 8 long years.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Just kidding, it was the best decision in my life. :cloud9:

Cheryl, and the rest of us will have the server earning his tip :rotfl2:

What is Disney Visa's?

3% and it is printed on a separate line

Oh Kim
That reminds me - car seats and seat belts on the pirate bus.

Okay - the buses do NOT have seat belts nor do they require car seats for children (must be an exception to the ordinance). They said a child could be strapped into a car seat that sits on the regular seat. BTW - none of the bus companies I contacted had buses w/seat belts.

AND - because so many pirates will have a lot of luggage (thank you to Kristina for mentioning that fact!!!!) we are going to have 4 buses not 3 so that everyone's luggage will fit!!!

Thanks for the hard work.

Pictures!!!

Last night DS showed me a better way to spy than google earth. He showed me how microsofts live maps gets you right up close. Just for the fun of it I went over to Castaway Cay. No ship :( but when I went over to the port wow the Magic was there and you can flip the direction you are looking at it.

Cool
http://maps.live.com/

The birds eye view lets you change the angle and swing around the view. So that was taking up lots of time .

Never got to IKEA yesterday as I noticed they started their summer sale today.Every little bit saved helps. DH wants to swing by Bealls topick up another swimsuit for him on sale 9.99 and I think I will check out the sales rack again as they are adding their additional 40% off clearance again. DS got the ok to move in the Condo for rent 2 doors down but now the owner is avoiding him:eek: So he is really nervous as he wants to be out of his apt by July and that doesn't give him much time.

They have category 4, 6 and 7 available.

So while the ship will obviously be very full, it looks like it may not be totally absolutely filled up.

Then where's my stateroom assignment darnit!!!

Just finished counting the money in our change jar and rolling it....$210.:yay:
That's enough for our 1 Day/1 Park DL tickets and a little to spare for eats!
