:wave2: Guys! Can't get my dd out of bed today. I;m chomping at the bit to get goign and she's still in bed. Can't blame here though - we have been running non-stop since we got here and the week is almost up. Darn it! Haven't made it to Georgetown or the National Cathedral yet.

OH well, did I mention that I got to see Marine One yesterday? Cheryul - tell John there's a message for him on my blog! :lmao:

:lmao: alk to you all later. I just heard a rustle from the bed - maybe I can rustle her out of bed in the next 1/2 hr! YEAH RIGHT!

Just finished counting the money in our change jar and rolling it....$210.:yay:
That's enough for our 1 Day/1 Park DL tickets and a little to spare for eats!

Yay!!!

We have had a large sparklets water bottle set up for change (and dollars from recycling & yard sale), since we booked the cruise (actually a bit before that since we started it a few months before the Med cruise). I am trying to get it up to 50 lbs and last we weighed it, it was 47 lbs! We are close and hoping to get about $700-$800. As it gets closer the kids are putting every quarter they find, into it. Only rule...no pennies!

Every little bit helps, especially with all these "little increases and fee's"

Here is a picture of our cruise jar! lol

I back from the wilds of PA & I'm alive. The problem with mapping trails is that there is very little information to start with. Some trail groups have the equivalent of a sketch on a napkin! Some trails are very well marked, others notsomuch. Long story short - yesterday, I set off on a 13 mile ride. My last trail of the week. Turned into a 54 mile ride. Ugh! Saw 2 black bears. I though one might eat me. Luckily, I have Jimmy Buffett's God's Own Drunk and a Fearless Man memorized, so I talked to the bear. "Mr. Bear. I love every hair on your 27 acre body." "He was expectin' me to do one of two things, flip of fly. I did neither. It hung him up."

I was a very fun week. 250+ miles. Mud, bugs, pulled quad muscle, bicycle butt, and some really stunningly beautiful rides.

Obviously the trails I mapped aren't up yet, but here is what that will end up looking like when our GIS wizards and web gurus are done with them.

That's great!!! I always just take ours to the bank with a deposit slip. I don't want to touch all those dirty coins! LOL!

:faint: I'm tired just thinking about what you did! LOL!

Great report Stace:goodvibes
I'm going to order some Safe-sea lotion for those jellyfish excursions:eek:

Stupid me, had Safe-Sea and didn't use it. At least I had the sting relief with me!
June is the big "season" for them. Hopefully, there won't be any in August.
And when we were there in June in '05, there weren't any either. Just my luck this time, I guess.

Hey everyone! Crazy week here, but things should be settling down after one more busy day today. My DD13 received her Student of the Year award on Tuesday. She was very surprised, I think shocked and very pleased her teachers selected her. It was quite an honor. Wednesday was the last day of school, and we will settle into our summer routine. DD13 is trying to earn some GS hours, so she will be volunteering to help teach swim lessons.

We rented a car from Avis at Pt. Canaveral and the SUV was cheaper than the car. I think we will upgrade since we won't use that much gas to go to Disney then the airport. We still have to make shuttle arrangements from Orange County, I'll do that this week. My fish extender was mailed yesterday, I'll try to figure out how to post a picture. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

We are excited about our DIS meet tonight. This will be the first time we have ever been to one. My DH had a board meeting today, so he left for work at 6:30 this morning. I hope he is still awake at dinner. It has been a long week for him.

Andrew, take care and feel better soon.

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to everyone! I hope you all enjoy your Saturday!:cool1:

Brendan and I just signed up for our cartagena excursion!

Is there any room left on Jolly Roger in Aruba?

Jolly Roger has 2 ships, we have completely filled the first and are into the second, you can book it on line and it should tell you if available.

Stacey I am not sure if there were jellyfish in the water that I would even go in with or without Safe-Sea. Love you pictures! :thumbsup2

M looking at the area where you rode I am a bit jealous. It looks like really cool. Today I tried to get out early because of the heat. 80F when I started at 8am and up to 95F by 8:45 when I got home after cutting my ride short. I have used traillink before and wish they would do some more out here in CA. Rest up OK. Have not run into any bears out here but did come across a coyote last week. Kind of made me nervous as to whether it was going to chase after me.

Tell them you are with Roger Thursday 8/28 early trip.

Hi Roger - Waaaay back when we booked this, it was only the first few days it was being talked about and I am certain I didn't tell them we were with Roger. Is that a problem? Should I contact them again to tell them?
