Hey Todd....maybe I'm just spoiled by our handsome Captain Jack!! :lovestruc

We definitely missed you all at Disneyland, by the way.

DS11 asked me to post pictures of him learning to dive. These are from his last pool session. I forgot the camera both days at the lake. Bad Mother! :(

Taking the Final Exam (got 46/50! :thumbsup2 )

I got really spoiled by the CA weather!! 85° during the day and in the 60's at night......perfect!!
I missed a 114° day while I was gone! :headache:

Gotta love being back in the desert. Yesterday I came home with groceries, and wasn't watching where I was walking, and stepped on a tarantula. Later last night we had a big ol' wolf spider on the front door. I wouldn't have killed the tarantula if I'd seen it....they are good guys and eat the other icky bugs.

:scared1: That's all I have to say.

I am going to send them a list of everyone in our group in a couple of weeks to ensure we are all together. Just make sure you have your name on the planning board.

Hey Roger, I'll also pull everyone who posted on the Who's Doing What thread so you can bash against your list

Better not show these to my DS. He's been bugging me for dive lessons.

Also, I don't know if anyone saw my thread on the Main boards, but the gift basket that I ordered from Mouseshoppe was fantastic!! It had a 12 pack of Pepsi in it that saved my life. And Jared loved all of the snacks. He had even requested one that they don't normally put in, and thought it was awesome that they added it for him.....Club crackers with cheese. :goodvibes

glad to hear this was up to par. I'm thinking about contacting them

Just finished counting the money in our change jar and rolling it....$210.:yay:
That's enough for our 1 Day/1 Park DL tickets and a little to spare for eats!

We have a large bottle that we collect coins in. We usually empty it and roll the coins before any big vacation. I think the last time was early '07, so hopefully there is a pretty good chunk of change in there. It will go straight to our shipboard account. I need to get some coin wrappers.

I have been busy working on our FE gifts, but still haven't finished my dress for the first formal night. Oh well, if it doesn't get done I will just have to wear the same one twice (which still needs to be shortened).

I started my spreadsheep months ago. It already has at least 8 tabs with the main one being a calendar break down. There are also worksheets for flight information, excursions, tips, etc.

Oh Kim
That reminds me - car seats and seat belts on the pirate bus.

Okay - the buses do NOT have seat belts nor do they require car seats for children (must be an exception to the ordinance). They said a child could be strapped into a car seat that sits on the regular seat. BTW - none of the bus companies I contacted had buses w/seat belts.

AND - because so many pirates will have a lot of luggage (thank you to Kristina for mentioning that fact!!!!) we are going to have 4 buses not 3 so that everyone's luggage will fit!!!

Thanks for checking on that, Chris.

Kim

Thanks for the info on the seatbelt/carseat situation. I was wondering too.

Kim,

I encountered this situation unexpectedly when my DD10 was about 18 months. We put the car seat on the bus and my husband took a strap off a garment bag and strapped the car seat to the bus seat. Not a great solution, but with a squirmy baby, it was better than running up and down the aisle. I think I will be prepared this time with a strap of some sort and we'll just go with it. It will be safer than trying to hold him in my lap (although neither option coinsides with my "safety mom" reputation!).

I'd be interested in knowing what you're planning to do...

Kelly,

Thanks for the tip on using a strap to secure the seat. I talked to DH and he also suggested using some kind of strap...I'll let him figure out what kind. I agree that it will be better to have the baby strapped in to his seat. He's used to riding in it anyway, and since we'll have it with us, we may as well use it.

Kim

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes yesterday for DH Dan and I. We went to dinner at a local Mexican place with the kids....nothing fancy but the kids were pretty well behaved and it was nice to not have to cook and clean up after them for once. (This is what I'm really looking forward to on the cruise! :thumbsup2 )

Great Pics Esteri:thumbsup2 Congrats to your DS:yay:

Never seen it up here - but then we don't have to worry about Jellyfish stings. Is it readily available in drugstores in the States? We're heading to Bellingham in July - I could check then.

I've always ordered it online from Nidarai:
http://www.nidaria.com/

It's got a patent too...

So far no jelly fish stings.. not that I'm in the ocean all that much:rolleyes1
