I've checked two websites that seem to have pretty good recommendations, allseas and dreams unlimited. I always book directly with any travel, so this will be a risk for me to take

I have done both with cruises. Booked them thru a travel agent and also booked them directly with the cruise line. Now I mainly book them myself. So far I've never found any better deals by booking with an agent than I can get directly with the cruise line. So I do it myself and then I can control the details by talking directly with the cruise line instead of going thru the travel agent.

Mandy... that pic of you and Paul over by Jurrasic Park reminded me of Carolin's. This is one of my fav pics of her during vacation in January.

The weather is beautiful here today. You guys say a little prayer for CW... we were suppose to go to a family cookout in Virginia Beach on Saturday. Behind my back, CW signed Chad up for another session of soccer so they will not be making it to the picnic

I can't believe that Chad was willing... he just started football season on Aug 1st. I think the guys have some sort of illness

Kelly - I like your piccie of Carolin too. Oh dear, is CW in the dog-house for arranging more soccer for Chad ? LOL - men, they have no idea, do they ?

I've had a few texts from the girls, they seem to be having a good time. They are in a tent with 4 other girls that they know. They have to go to a couple of Christian seminars a day, then for the rest of the day they can go to cafes, concerts, workshops, skateboard, cinema and they even have a disco in the evening (not that I can imagine them doing the YMCA - that would be far too uncool ).

Unfortunately we have had a lot of rain today, and there's even more due tomorrow, which can't be much fun when you're in a tent. Thankfully it is supposed to get drier on Thursday and Friday

Doghouse... to say the least I'm going to him figure out taking Chad to and from the games and practices! That should do it, I don't think he'll plan anything else without talking to me about it

This is the first chance that I've had to get on the DISboards all day today.

Lots of stuff going on that have taken up my DISing time

Mandy, hopefully the girls will have fun, rain or no rain

Kelly, men do things and then expect us to figure out how to fit it all together after the fact

I am leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back until later on Sunday night. So if you don't see me around, don't worry about me....... at least not too much

I have to go and pick Liz up at camp and then I have to meet Rick and go to an airplane weekend.

Tonight, Paul & I are going to see the Bourne Ultimatum - which I'm really looking forward to

Then tomorrow night Paul & I are thinking of going away for a couple of nights to Southampton again. So I'm looking forward to a couple of days eating, drinking and eating again

Hi ya Mandy,

If you are talking about the dismeet I mentioned to kelly...I was just kidding..I figured if she did anything to Chad with a sharp object , we would have to go visit her in jail...Hence the next "Dismeet" with her.

BUT....I am going to meet up with Cally(princessaC), and Ann, in WDW in Sept.
AND we are all hoping Robin is going to be able to make it down there too! ....
I AMM SOOO EXCITED
We are going to meet at Beaches and Cream...on the 29th of Sept. for Ice Cream...
I have never met Cally and her family ...although I have been chatting with her for at least 2-3 years now ..So I am really looking forward to meeting her in person....
and I am so siked that Ann, will come and meet with us too!...Robin would make the whole thing perfect!...

So glad you and Paul can go and have a little YOU time.....
Also glad Kerry, and Becky are having a good time too!....

Having to stay in a musty ol tent..will toughen them up. ...and make them really appreciate there home and bedroom...LOL

Hey Girls

We're back !!

Paul & I have had a lovely couple of days in Southampton. We didn't get up to much - we did a bit of shopping (I bought a nice top, some sunglasses and some little pressies for the girls), had some lovely meals and did a bit of drinking too

We got home about an hour before the girls, who had had a great time too

Unfortunately the girls have brought home a huge bag of dirty and muddy washing (yeah, thanks girls - NOT !!! )

Anyway I hope you're all having a great weekend

Hey all

I too have returned. It feels like I have been away for ever

The trip to get Liz from camp was successful and now she is home.

I drove her part of the way back and met up with Rick and turned right around and went back north again while Liz headed on home. This was on Thursday afternoon.

We went to the Canadian Remote Control Scale Aerobatics nationals (airplane competition). Rick won second place in his category which means he missed out on being the Canadian National Champion in his division by about 100 points Him and another guy went back and forth between first and second place all weekend long.

I told him I wasn't sure that I was ready to live with a Canadian National Champion of any sort in my house yet. Sounds like much too high and mighty a title for people like us

He was a bit disappointed that he didn't win but he really likes the guy who beat him so he was okay with it.

We had a real mixed pile of weather while we were gone.

On Friday it was really sunny but windy but then it was pouring rain and the wind blew so hard it knocked over a portapotty and it actually moved a tent trailer parked to us over a foot or so.

Saturday was windy but a bit chilly with some sun and today was chilly to start with but great for the rest of the day. I actually got a sunburn today.

Carolin and I had a blast at the bbq on Saturday. It was real nice seeing family that I only get to see every couple of years. My cousin had a dog that loved the pool. She had her own raft, anyone who got in it... she would try and bump them out.

Sunday, we all rode with DM & DD to Busch Gardens! I still chickened out... couldn't bring myself to ride the Griffon. It kept breaking down, a good reason not to get on it, right?

DM & DD got to watch 38 Special in concert there. The kids didn't want to go, they prefered to ride the coasters so we stayed with them.

We are looking forward to their Hallowscream... they have started decorating for that. I'm just not looking forward to the clowns there

I can't believe that they are decorating for Hallowe'en already - I bet it'll look great (though I'm not keen on clowns either)

How did Chad get on with his soccer ?

Hi Betsy & Robin - I hope you're both OK

On Thursday Kerry will get the results to her exams and then next week she will be hoping to enroll at the sixth form college - I'll let you know how she gets on

I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but as you can see by one of my tickers, we have arranged a Girls only Christmas shopping trip over on the UK Community. So far we have organised our hotel (a really nice one in the centre of Birmingham) and the next step is to sort out some restaurants. So far we've got about 8 girls who are stopping for both the Friday and Saturday night, a few girls are stopping just the Saturday night and there's also a few girls meeting just for the shopping - it should be fun. I know a couple of the girls that are going, but it'll be nice to finally meet some of them that I have been talking to for years

On Friday it will be one year till we're double dipping at Castaway Cay - woohoo !! I can't wait

Then on Saturday, it will only be 4 months till Christmas - and yes, I will be driving you all mad with my countdown

Anyway it's nearly 10.30pm over here, so goodnight and I'll chat tomorrow

I didn't even go to dance class tonight

Kelly, I would like to go to that Busch Gardens some day. I think it'd been nice to see it after seeing the one in Florida. I'm not a coaster fan though.
