How did Chad get on with his soccer ?

With no subs... they lost. But that's ok, can't win them all! I think though that this is proving to be too much for him. He had football practice yesterday (was soaking wet and exhausted when I picked him up) and later that night he was suppose to go to soccer practice. He didn't make that one, too sore

On Thursday Kerry will get the results to her exams and then next week she will be hoping to enroll at the sixth form college - I'll let you know how she gets on

Good luck to Kerry! We will keep our fingers crossed for her!!!

I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but as you can see by one of my tickers, we have arranged a Girls only Christmas shopping trip over on the UK Community.

Have fun!! That sounds great!! It's good to have someone help me remember how fast Christmas is already coming at us

Kelly, I would like to go to that Busch Gardens some day. I think it'd been nice to see it after seeing the one in Florida. I'm not a coaster fan though.

I haven't been to the one in Florida, but I love the shows and landscaping at the one in Williamsburg. If you ever decide to go to Williamsburg, let me know and we can meet up! Colonial Williamsburg has lots of great things there!!

I'm going to try and post some pics of our bbq with the crazy dog in it! I'll catch up later after I download them

Albert likes to float in things, but I dont think he'd like the getting wet part...LOL
Im back....It was a crappy weekend for a campout...but we had the RV...so It wasnt too bad..
It was chilly, so we didnt go out in the kayaks, but we did go bike riding,...I was so glad that Albert still fit in his basket...We biked all around the state park Monday morning...Im glad we did..because it started to rain in the afternoon,..In the evening we watched "where the red furn grows"..Its a pretty old movie..I bought at the store for five bucks...I thought it was pretty good....even if it did make me cry.....
Then we watched "March of the penquins"...(another $5 movie)..That was pretty good too...Boy I never realized how hard those little guys have it....

I see that you all had a good weekend....
I have been to the BG in Va., but not the one in Fla....We use to live in Newport News Va..when Mike was in the Air Force....So I have been to BGs, and Kings Dominion, and Williamsburg, Jamestown..the pottery factory..all of them..

Betsy, sorry the weather wasn't so pleasant for camping. Gosh... that movie made me cry too! It's almost as bad as Old Yeller Sounds like you still made the most of your trip!! How did Albert make out?

LOL Kelly, that dog is so funny. We had a dog when the girls were young and she loved water - she'd swim in a puddle if she had the chance

Betsy - Sorry to hear that the weather was bad during your weekend away, though it does sound like you all had a great time anyway

Robin - I hope the weather is better now, we have had such a miserable Summer over here this year. Yet back in April, we all thought we were in for the hottest Summer ever

Mandy, as of right now the only plan that is concrete is meeting up with the others on the Saturday night.

I am bringing Liz with me too, and we have to figure out what else we want to do with our time there.

That might easily mean some Disney time. Can't say for sure yet.

We are staying off site this time though. It was a ton cheaper that way and we can use the extra money for something else ( like entrance into Disney }

I've emailed Dreams Unlimited to work up some Disney prices for our upcoming cruise. I'm sure they will have to wait until '09 is released

Morning Kelly.

We are looking forward to our mother-daughter trip. It's something we've wanted to do for a long time.

One thing we've always talked about doing is taking a park, say the Magic Kingdom, and doing everything in the park. Usually we just go thru and do our favourite things. Sometime we'd like to go and do a park slowly, enjoy everything there is to see and do.

Go on all the smaller attractions that we don't do normally, watch the parades, poke into the gift shops, that kind of thing.

That's the smart thing to do! We hopped to all of the parks and we were exhausted

I saw alot of things we missed when Mandy posted her pics!

I always think that I better get in as much as I can because I might not get back down there. I can't wait to go again

Well Kerry got her GCSE results today and although she was really nervous about getting them, she did really well. She got

English Language B
English Literature B
Psychology B
Sociology B
Religous Studies B
Maths C
Science (Double Award) CC
Child Care D

She has got more than enough passes to get into the courses that she wants to do at 6th Form college. She has got an interview next Tuesday at the college, where she will choose her subjects

She popped home a while ago for about 20 seconds (LOL) and went back out again. I think she's really thrilled and happy with her results.

Today I have spent a lot of time on the phone and on the internet as the 2008 UK Free Disney Dining Plan has been announced today with several travel agents. The free plan for next year is from 10th Aug to 27th Sept '08 and is only valid at certain Moderate and Deluxe resorts. I've been getting quotes for the Caribbean Beach Resort which include flights/tickets/free dining plan and accomodation and hopefully we may make a decision about whether to bother with the free dining or not very soon (as we love staying at the Pop Century)

Has anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend ? We may go to a shopping mall as we're going to give Kerry some money for doing so well in her exams so that she can get some new clothes etc for when she starts college

Kelly that's usually the way we do the parks too

We pick all of our favourite things and then we just do those and ignore the rest.

It's real easy to do 4 parks in one day that way. Especially if it is during the slow season

We haven't done just one park in a day in so long that I can't even remember anymore.

Mandy, we are leaving on Friday Sept 28, be in Orlando just before noon and we fly back on the Monday morning arriving in Detroit about 1:30 pm or so. So we have 2 full days and most of Friday in Florida Not a long time but any time is better than no time.

Congratulations, Kerry on your excellent grades and good luck in college next year.

What are you interested in doing with your life..... I'm thinking child care is not high on the list at the moment

It would an awful expense for you to come for just a weekend, I'm guessing.
