I don't think I'd like the rubber band therapy. It would hurt too much ;)

Yes I did take my measurements before I started but I haven't done it again.

Congrats everyone on their weight losses this week.

:cheer2:

Ahoy Shipmates :boat:

Robin - Have you noticed that your clothes are fitting better now ?? I didn't measure myself, but I feel like I may have lost an inch from my waist, which is much more noticable than losing just a pound

Kelly - Well done on losing 2 lbs, that's great, keep up the good work

We haven't got much planned for this weekend. The weekend is usually the time when I eat too much rubbish - but I'm going to try to be good

I hope everyone has a great weekend

Mandy :)

Put a rubberband on your wrist and snap it when you go out to eat to try and make yourself eat good. :confused3 That's what I overheard a girl say at the grocery store when she was talking to a friend about her weight loss!

I'd probably break the darn rubberband before the weekend was up!

I think we are all going to the movies tonight to see "Invincible". I hear it's a good family movie!

Well, so far Chad has made each cut on the soccer team. I think he finds either today or Monday if he made the team. Carolin said she froze during one of the routines but hopped right back into it after about 3 secs. She has already found out if she made the :cheer2: team, I'll have to wait until I pick her up :hyper:

Good Morning all my Cruiser friends

Congrats on the loss, Kelly..
.and to your DKs , Im so glad they made there teams...Im sure Chad will :wizard:
Well My plans have changed Im suppose to mow my field today,
but DGF just called me and we are going to go shopping....Ill do the lawn later this afternoon or Sunday(if its still nice out)..
My poor yard :sad2: ..Oh well the deer like it long anyway :teeth:

Mandy,
I too eat way to much on the weekends...Thats when my DGKs come over and they are eating machines...and of course with everyone else eating its very hard not to eat too... :bitelip:

Thanks! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm off to the bank, cook supper and movies!! :teeth:

Take care :grouphug:

I hope you enjoyed your movie Kelly :)

Is anyone doing anything nice this weekend ?? We're not doing anything special, so I think I will daydream about our cruise :thumbsup2

Mandy :)

I think a nice tan...like a teepee tan...very light, but earthy..ya know?and Id use lots of task and mood lighting ;) I really love your bathroom idea...a nice creamy buttery yellow!..The bedroom is where Id put the clay...and use woodsy things in it..ya know kind of rustic?...I love this stuff..
JMO...I think the floor will look good in it too....Cant wait to see pics when your done...PLEASE :teeth:
We walked over there last night to talk about the interior doors. Which ones need to swing which way. Eric and I didn't quite agree on the two bathroom doors. :confused3 There's a door from the living area to the bathroom but there is also a door from the bedroom to the bathroom. He didn't want to lose any bathroom space because of the way the door swings, but I hate having a door open towards me then I have to back up to open it completely, then walk through it to turn on the light. :sad2: The laundry area is in the bathroom so it is pretty big, and he thought he'd like a cabinet w/countertop across from the dryer to use as a folding table. Good idea, but not necessary. The bedroom is pretty small. There's only one way for the bed to go, and the closet isn't where I thought it was going to be. The ideas I have in my head aren't exactly what the contractors have in mind as the easiest route. :furious: Oh well. It'll be pretty nice, and heck, I still get a new house when this is finished anyway. :woohoo: Any mistakes I make here I can learn from. :lmao:
Eric is hoping for a woodsy feel. I like that idea too, but with all the trimwork white. I like the look of white trim. Seems very classy to me. They should be done mudding the sheetrock this week then I can paint, then the ceilings will get done and the floors, then the fun stuff! Look out pottery barn here I come! :teeth:

It's great to hear from you Wendy, you sound so busy, though your plans for the new house sound lovely. It's nice to hear that it's all taking shape. Any news on your old house ?

I think you'll be in desperate need of a holiday after all this hard work

Have fun

Mandy :)

AS I posted earlier, Cora recognized a few words I was typing. It might be time that I don't post while she is around....'til christmas anyway. The two youngest kids are still in the dark about the cruise, I can't spoil it now!! :rotfl:
Hey Mandy! We are actually gonna keep our old house when we build a new one. We are going to turn it into some type of garage for storage. It's a very small house. Only suppose to have 2 bedrooms but we converted the living room into my son's room. It's in the back of our house so it was an easy conversion. He doesn't have a door on his room but he's the only one downstairs so I wouldn't want it closed anyway. And being 9, he doesn;t really care. In the new house all the bedrooms are upstairs, and the kids will have their own bathroom. I even get a craft room on the first floor! The apartment is being built because when we bought the property next door there was a big garage there had a huge area above it being wasted. Eric looks at everything as equity. So we're putting some $'s into it to increase it's value. We don't have any plans of selling it, but we could if we HAD to. The garage sits on 16 acres and there is a great view of the river, and lots of wildlife (mostly deer and moose) that hang around there. This property borders the 2 acre lot our current house is on, actually goes behind it too. Where the new house will go there is 32 acres and that borders our current lot on the other side! A total of 50 acres. :woohoo:

Well, I didn't lose any weight this week. I gained a lb a though! It was a horrible week for me. Anybody else just want to eat nothing but junk a certain time of the month? My TKD class wasn't too bad this week. I kinda wish is was so to burn more calories. Oh well, I'm sure next week will be a killer. Starting Monday, I will be playing volleyball. Our Rec dept sponsers a womens volleyball league. We get about 30 ladies together and divide up into 4 teams. We play only these teams but it's fun. You have to be 16 or older. We have some ladies who are well into thier 60's who are quite good. I've been playing since high school, except when I live in CA and PA. Somtimes I even talk my sisters into playing! :teeth:
Cora has a bday party to go to today for her friend Liam. He's the cutest little redheaded boy you've ever seen! ;) Other than that, we;ll just be headed out to our pumpkin patch to pick a few pumpkins that need to be delivered to their new owners. We carved names in them a month or so ago. My pumpkin never grew much. Randalls is about 80 lbs or more, and there's another bigger than his. And two more that are around 60 lbs or so. They aren't all round though, some are very flat in the back. It's been fun watching them grow though. That's are big plans for the day. Anybody else doing anything exciting? :listen:

:wave2: Wendy, I feel like I'm stalking you. :tiptoe: :scared1:

It's probably too late now but maybe you should have considered a pocket door for your bathroom. You know the kind that slide INTO the wall. We have one of those on our basement bathroom because it's very tiny and it opens into a very small space too, so not enough room for a regular door.

It sounds like you have a great property there. In a way I'd love to live in the country and have a lot of land around me but I do like living where I am too.

We have the country in the backyard and the city in the front. Neighbours too close though, some privacy would be nice

Hi Mandy.

I am spending my weekend pretty much alone again.

Rick has gone to the US (Michigan) for an airplane competition. Liz has to work tons of hours at McDonald's this weekend and Alex is working with his volunteer ambulance for most of the weekend.

So that leaves me, all alone and lonely :p Well, except for the cats and the fish and the laundry :laundy: :lmao:

Have a great weekend everybody :wave2:

Wendy ~ Is the cruise a Christmas present to you all ? Wow, if it is then that is one great pressie !! :thumbsup2

I was getting confused with you and Jennifer about selling your house, your new one sounds amazing

Don't worry about putting a pound on (if it's that time of the month, it'll only be water retention) ~ good luck for next week. The volleyball team sounds like fun, all that running around should help, you must be very fit anyway with all the TKD that you do (note to myself ~ don't upset Wendy on the cruise, or she'll beat me up ~ LOL)

Hi Robin ~ I'm not doing much either, we've had another lovely Autumn day here, so I sat out for an hour, which was very relaxing

Have a fun weekend

Mandy :)

 The weather here today was actually quite warm and humid. It was very cloudy and seemed like it should rain at any minute but so far it's not.

Well, I still haven't hit the scale. I'm so impressed by the weight loss posted.

Way to go everyone :cool1: . I hope you are all feeling as good as I am.

Well, I'm off to a home improvement stor for some more paint...etc. It's never ending! Just wish I had a :wizard: to get it all done for me!

Happy Weekend. I'm truly anticipating our cruise. :cloud9:

Good Morning cruise buddies :surfweb:

Well I have had a very enlightening and fun Sat...
I just posted about it on the TKer thread ....
So Ill copy and paste over here...because, well basically Im to lazy to type it all again :rotfl:

Yesterday we went to what was suppose to be a picnic, but ended up inside..
It was at a newly found sec. cousin's house..
My SIL..does genealogy..and actually found some of my blood relatives....
(To those who don't know both my parents were adopted )
It was all very exciting....These were my nat. grandmothers (d. in 97) nieces and nephews....all in there 70s and up..
I met five sisters who were daughters of my grandmothers daughter, and a son of my grandmothers son( Ray is the one who my SIL found.)..

Apparently my grandmother did not have any other children besides my father who she adopted out...She had him at the age of 16.

Its all so far removed, but its very interesting and I now know that I am at least a 1/4 British ...Ray has traced as far back as the mayflower...So my family (on this side at least) actually have quite a history...

All were very nice people and there original homestead is only a few hrs. away...beautiful countryside...
We were at one of the sisters houses..a beautiful dairy farm....

Anyway had a great time and felt very welcomed...
and today I feel crappy...head cold.. ...

Hope all your weekends have been nice so far
and the rest of it goes the same

TTFN

So Mandy we are closer to each other then either of us thought... ;)

Wendy, :wave2:
The house sounds like its coming along nicely... :thumbsup2
My DH and I argued over almost every plan we ever made about building our house...we both have very different ideas about how it should've been done...
but it all works out in the end....a little of his ideas and a little of mine...a nice blend.... :)

Today I will have the DGGs over as par, but my poor DH is going to have to deal with most of it ...because Im really not feeling that great ... :guilty:
but he's a peach and is so great with all the kids, Im not worried ...
He spoils me :cloud9: ...especially when Im sick...

I hope you all have a great Sunday :wizard:
Ill check in later if I can get the PC away from the DGGs. ..for a few Min's.

TTFN

Hi everyone

Betsy ~ It sounds like you had a very interesting and fun day yesterday. Wouldn't it be fun if you had some relatives over here. We have a couple of relatives that live over the pond ~ DH has an Uncle who lives in Boston and I have an Aunt who lives in Canada (she used to live in Scarborough, but has since moved ~ it could be Elliot Park or something like that)

I hope you'll be feeling a lot better soon

Jennifer ~ did you get anything nice in the home improvement store ? or was it just paint etc ?

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend

Mandy :)

Morning all.

Betsy, sounds like you had a nice Saturday.

I hope you feel better soon. You're lucky, nobody pampers me while I'm sick :sad2:

I am 1/2 english. My dad's family is all English and my mom's family is all French.

My dad's grandparents and part of their family came to Canada in around 1908. I do have relatives over there but I only have contact with one older lady who sends me a Christmas card every year. She is interested in the family history and so am I.

Mandy, Scarborough is not that far from me, only about 2 1/2 hours or so. Would the place your family lives in be Elliott Lake :confused3

That's it Robin ~ they all originate from Ireland (my dad's side of the family) and they've lived in Canada for years

Thanks

Mandy :)

Hi All

We :dance3: got back from our St Augustine trip yesterday. I posted some pictures on the TKers sight if you'd like to take a look :3dglasses

I am not getting on the scale till next Friday. We had some great food and drinks while we were away and I'm sure I packed on a few ##s. In fact we were aquainted with this great drink called a Mounds....anyone ever had one? They line a martini glass with chocolate syrup, then they shake up Godiva white chocolate liquor and Coconut rum and pour it in the center yummy and potent!!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Fill me in on anything I missed this week. Chat more later :grouphug:
