See ya all next year
Right back at you - stay safe and enjoy your vacation.
Well folks, we woke up to rain which in SoCal, is horrendous. DD Megan picked a charity called Su Casa (which is for domestic abuse and any other kind of abuse) and she was told to deliver the gifts she has collected today. So of all days, here we go - in her car - not my baby - down to Long Beach to deliver the stuff. She collected stuff from her catechism class such as dolls, blankets, coloring books, games and of course the age old monetary donations. I am constantly amazed at the stuff that people will donate - it warms the heart to know that others do give good stuff too.
Anyways, I am finally getting to wear my waterproof UGG boots and I am bundling up. My youngest DD's soccer game was cancelled, they said something about the girls not wanting to play in the rain -

I think they are afraid of melting
Anyway, got to run as us three girls will be driving in DD's tin can (ok its not that bad - we got her a Saturn Vue with all the works) which we got in preparation for her transfer to a Cal State or university. So far she has been accepted at Cal State Monterrey, San Francisco, Northridge and we believe maybe Irvine - along with a few other close by ones but I believe (with my encouragement) she is ready to travel at least more than 2 hrs away from home.

If it were up to me - I'd go the 5 hr one! But I believe that she thinks that mommy's purse strings don't extend that far.

JoAnn help! Does it get any better? Or do you still extend the help? Just Kidding, I've always told the kids if you go to college, we will do what we can as long as you don't get below a "C". If you comply with those rules - we will pay the tuition - but I have cut if off at graduate school.
Anyway, them are my plans for today. I hope we make it home safe and sound. Carolyn - think your snow mishaps are like our rain - nothing but a major mess as everyone knows that Californians don't know how to drive in the rain - but I don't count as I learned to drive in Washington state!
Check in later folks!
