Has anyone tried Cloudem - Blue?

What does Cloudem- Blue taste like? Is it similar to Martinelli's or even Welches sparkling juice or is it more elevated?

I completely expect an upcharge for any drinks on board a cruise but the $18.00 plus gratuity DCL charges for a bottle of Cloudem or Martinelli's seems high. I've had some high end non-alcoholic beverages that might be "worth" the $18 a bottle, Martinelli's is not. I'm wondering where Cloudem lands?

I would not pay a corking fee for a non alcoholic beverage at dinner. I would drink it in my room. Maybe ask DCL if they sell Cloudem-Blue onboard and then you would just for that at dinner without a corking fee.

I am specifically looking because they sell Clouded-Blue as an In-Room gift. They charge the $18.00 cost plus a gratuity fee for in room beverages.

We had someone purchase it as a gift for us. I thought it was good, definitely better than Martinelli's or Welch's. But honestly, it's more about the spectacle of drinking something blue that's full of glitter. We were 30+ and enjoyed shaking the bottle up to see it glitter WAY too much. It's a "sparkling" drink in more than one way. The picture below doesn't do it justice, but you get an idea...

It really is soooo much fun. We had another friend who had to cancel coming with us last minute so she filled our stateroom with all kinds of goodies like the Cloudem and cake and cheese platters. We felt SPOILED.

There is really something special about walking into your room and finding a surprise gift!

It would be cheaper to just order a fancy nonalcoholic drink at one of the bars (maybe not per glass since I assume a bottle of Cloudem Blue give you 3-4 glasses worth) and toast the sail away. But surprising someone with a little fun gift in the stateroom can be worth the cost if you know it's something they will enjoy.

You might have convinced me to add this item to my next in room surprise! I'm so surprised more people haven't tried it. Maybe because the DCL website doesn't do a great job describing it. A glitter filled drink seems like a no brainer to celebrate something fun.

Here's a video I found... This is the pink/red alcoholic version, and it's not quite as impactful as it is in person, but you get the idea. (I initially just thought it was a blue drink with sludge in the bottom)

I had to google these. They look so fun but I am not a cider person. I think it would be pretty easy to make an at home version with the right cake/ candy decorations.

Our TA sent us a bottle for our cruise to Norway and we were all mesmerized by the cool looking sparkles. I would defintely send it as a gift when possible. It's not about the taste or whether it contains alcohol.

As an update we did end up ordering this for a special occasion recently. The taste was pretty good, better than a Martinelle's sparkling cider. When we poured our glasses didn't seem to sparkle much though. We didn't realize we were supposed to shake up the bottle to mix the sparkles until we were 2/3rd finished with it and noticed all the shiny stuff at floating at the bottom. Normally I wouldn't shake a bottle of anything so it never occurred to me. The blue color was fun in itself though.

Disney only has the blue available, but a photo earlier in this thread showed a red one, too. Does the red one have the same flavor? The blue one is actually quite good!

No, that would be terrible. And it's not ultra fizzy like some sparkling juices are, either. I don't usually like sparkling juice, but this one was pretty good.

Edible glitter, which is typically made out of sugar, corn starch and a bunch of additives including mica-based pigments. And just like craft glitter it sticks to everything!
