Okay it only took me about 2 hours to do this............here's my pic........:santa: This is my 3 girls, last year at Christmas...........

That must be it!!!!

The Empire state building's classic lighting is all white, but many times a year they use different lighting to celebrate holidays -- blue and white for Hanukkah, red and green for Christmas, all blue when the Giants (American football, Andrew;) ) won the Super Bowl, red, white and blue for Independence day, etc., etc. It was even tan and brown for the 10th anniversary of the Lion King on B'way!

My all time favorite resort is Beach Club, and our favorite park is Epcot . . .:thumbsup2

Hope you had a good first night, Izzy!!!!!:goodvibes
:thumbsup2

The weather here is very mild today about 58 deg and the sun has just come out ...... how nice :) :)

It's Mickey, how nice.
Thanks for sharing your first night with us. :grouphug:

Is the center candle always a different color than the rest? :confused3

The candles can be any colour. The ones we buy come in a box and the candles are mixed colours, I think in the box this year are white, blue, red, yellow and maybe pink and green. The boys put the candles in and they pick the colours of the day. I know purests only use white candles but for us it's more of a fun thing. :teacher:

Caro has today and tomorrow, while I have all week except Christmas day. But when I get home on Friday it is off to the airport and a Week with the Mouse.:santa:

Despite a zillion inches (OK, maybe really 10 inches) of snow, I made it to work for another day. A co-worker's DH from up the street brought me and her. I had to go out to Walgreens last night, came out and had a flat tire. I called AAA but they were only doing emergency calls (like cars stuck in the road) in our area. So Andrew drove up and brought me home and he's going to call AAA again this morning. Luckily the friend has a 4 wheel drive truck, so we didn't have any problems getting to work. Not a lot of people here today, which isn't too surprising.
I'll ketchup later!

:yay: Enjoy your time off. :dance3: Don't let the kids drive you too crazy.

We could use a few of your degrees, along with a few other people. It's supposed to be a high of 27 here with a wind chill of about 15. :cold: But at least we don't have snow. :yay:

Thanks for another enlightening post about your traditions. :thumbsup2

Good luck with the car. Of course it had to be in the snow... :sad2: :headache:

AAA still is not answering the phones. I was on hold for 15 minutes or so at 5:00 this morning and another 20 minutes just now and did not get through to anyone.

Way to go with the picture!

What a beautiful family.

The weather here is very mild today about 58 deg and the sun has just come out ...... how nice :) :)

It's absolutely frigid here. It was 15 degrees this morning, and the wind has been howling since last night. At least that's supposed to let up later this afternoon. It's going to be cold again tomorrow, but it's supposed to be in the 50's by Christmas Eve. That's good news for us. We were supposed to go visit my parents in the mountains on Sunday, but the roads were terrible with the ice storm. So they're going to spend Christmas Eve and Day with us, along with my brother and his girlfriend. It should be a nice cozy Christmas. (And by that, I mean my house is pretty darn small! ;) )

Have a great trip!

They've just reported a "terrible ice storm" in the northern part of America on the news ...... I do hope it's the storm you guys have just been hit by and not another one :scared1: Stay safe and warm everyone. It's going to remain quite mild over here until the weekend when it's going to drop to about 30 deg.

JoAnn - your dd in the red has your smile! They are all gorgeous - are you sure they are overage? They all look so young!

Hip Hip Hooray ....... I'm on holiday ........ no more work till Jan 5th :woohoo:

CONGRATS Izzie! I remember when I would :dancer: when I had 3 days off (a Monday with a weekend!) Enjoy and stay safe - love your picture and the fact that you have color. The kids always like color. So what color did you do today?

Right back at you - stay safe and enjoy your vacation.

Well folks, we woke up to rain which in SoCal, is horrendous. DD Megan picked a charity called Su Casa (which is for domestic abuse and any other kind of abuse) and she was told to deliver the gifts she has collected today. So of all days, here we go - in her car - not my baby - down to Long Beach to deliver the stuff. She collected stuff from her catechism class such as dolls, blankets, coloring books, games and of course the age old monetary donations. I am constantly amazed at the stuff that people will donate - it warms the heart to know that others do give good stuff too.

Anyways, I am finally getting to wear my waterproof UGG boots and I am bundling up. My youngest DD's soccer game was cancelled, they said something about the girls not wanting to play in the rain - :ssst: I think they are afraid of melting ;) :lmao:

Anyway, got to run as us three girls will be driving in DD's tin can (ok its not that bad - we got her a Saturn Vue with all the works) which we got in preparation for her transfer to a Cal State or university. So far she has been accepted at Cal State Monterrey, San Francisco, Northridge and we believe maybe Irvine - along with a few other close by ones but I believe (with my encouragement) she is ready to travel at least more than 2 hrs away from home. :teeth: If it were up to me - I'd go the 5 hr one! But I believe that she thinks that mommy's purse strings don't extend that far. :rotfl2: JoAnn help! Does it get any better? Or do you still extend the help? Just Kidding, I've always told the kids if you go to college, we will do what we can as long as you don't get below a "C". If you comply with those rules - we will pay the tuition - but I have cut if off at graduate school.

Anyway, them are my plans for today. I hope we make it home safe and sound. Carolyn - think your snow mishaps are like our rain - nothing but a major mess as everyone knows that Californians don't know how to drive in the rain - but I don't count as I learned to drive in Washington state! ;)

Check in later folks!
