6/7/15 Any quick questions about the Wonder Alaskan cruise before we disembark in the morning

Thank you for any & all info. If you bring back navigators & they get posted anywhere, please let us know. Scott S has a website where they try to post them & it's really helpful for planning.

Enjoy your cruise & let us know which excursions you enjoy if possible.

I always try to send Scott my navigators and this will be no exception. Probably Wednesday before I can get them to him though.

Is the time Alaska time or Ohio time? Alaska time is 4 hours behind.
Thanks for your invaluable info. It's been very helpful!
You have me wondering now. I will double check when we get in this evening.

Thanks for all of your information, I hope you are having a great time. Can you let me know shows are on the cruise? thanks Alison

The regular production shows on the Wonder are Toy Story, Golden Mickeys, and Disney Dreams.

I wish they would change them up, this is our 3rd time on Wonder and the shows are always the same

Unfortunately, logistically, they can't just "switch" shows between ships that easily.

The cast in any given show is the same actors in all the shows onboard, they can't just pick up, move to a different ship, and do a new/different show. They would actually have to learn at least 2 new shows to move to another ship.

And the stage sets would have to be switched out (difficult since two ships aren't in port at the same time to do the switch).

In order to recoup the costs involved with mounting a show onboard, DCL needs to run any given show at least 5-6 years. The "better" or more successful shows stay longer. Shows do get replaced occasionally.

I submitted this info to Scott this morning. Hopefully he will post it before the end of the week.

Also on a another note I am ashamed to report that I was wrong about the Frozen Party, I said it was June 5th when actually it was June 4th. Somebody mentioned to check my camera time so I looked at my camera settings and sure enough I got bit by the time change.

Thanks so much, Bill B.!! We appreciate all your efforts to share this info with us - no shame needed ;)! lol I'm glad it was night 4 - fits a little better in my loosely held plan I think. And your post helped me realized that the time change is going to hammer us on our return to the east coast - we land at midnight and have to get up the next morning at 7 AM - add the time change into the mix and we'll be rather zombie-like that day. lol

Your welcome. I'm back to work today and I can tell you I am dying here. I have no idea how I'm going to make it all day without getting a bloody nose when it hits the table.

You have been an amazing help!

:thanks:

I just wanted to clarify that we were on the same dinner rotation PTAPTAP and had our Character Breakfast at 8 on Saturday. It provides the time on your dinner tickets and is not a ticketed event like A&E, Olaf, etc.

It's good to know that Olaf is a ticketed meet and greet. I need to list what needs to be done once onboard. Thanks for the info!

someone is reporting elsewhere that shoreside CM told them next week's frozen festivities will take place on tuesday (1st seaday, whereas in the first two cruises it was on thursday--skagway--as reported above). is it possible that they would change the date so drastically, or is shoreside mistaken?

I know they can (and do) change onboard activities for various reasons. Maybe the weather report is more favorable on Tuesday than Thursday next week.

Does this mean they are going to change the dining menu order as well? Since I have booked Palo, I am more concerned with how the change affects dining.
