I get you are pessimistic, and I also get why. OF all the things listed, will they all happen. I agree no.
Where you and I disagree is the fact that SOME changes will happen.
Like it or not, believe it or not, there seems to be some significant movement that the US parks need love, and that they are now not focused as much outside the US. Lets be honest, I can't count how many threads are here and other sites dogging Disney for not up-keeping the US parks, and adding to them.
Guess what, I think we have finally hit that mark.
Of the changes we now know, they show me that they are back to willing to invest in the US....
DHS total basic restage - adding SWE and TSL(although, there is some discussion going on now, that says in 5-10 years this will go away for more SWL expansion...), Mickey ride in GMR
Epcot - UoE new ride(GotG), France add - Rat is almost a sure thing, BatB still outside shot, one new WS pavillion, plussing to: SSE, Seas, Land, Innovations, TestTrack and spine from FW to WS
AK - Pandora, RoL
MK - Restaging TL - subtract of Stitch, new last scene to CoP, Painting and revamping over all, Speedway???? , also significant rumor of add to Frontierland at some point(not guaranteed for 50th).
Gondola transportation
New Star Wars resort
New adds to resorts
Now, do I think all of this will get done. Probably not. Of all that listed above, that isn't all that is rumored to happen. So I think we can expect some significant movement for the next 4-5 years, I for one am superexcited.
But.....
There will always be those things that were to be built that aren't. Martin talks of making a list once this is all over with to compare what was to be, vs. what was.
Fully agree with this sentiment. Should they have started at least some of this earlier? yeah, they did let WDW lag behind others as far as updates with really only New Fantasy Land happening since the opening of Animal Kingdom .... but to act like they are still not doing much I think is just kidding oneself
