My mom lives outside of Houston and theirs are $44 but she doesn't have a RedCard. I think without that additional 5%, then it's about the same deal to get the fuel rewards from the grocery store plus Chase Freedom is giving 5% cash back on grocery store purchases. I couldn't find anywhere where it said gift cards were excluded. So, I guess I am just gonna go to King Soopers and buy some before the fuel rewards are over and the 5% through Chase ends.
