Pam, sounds like you're really packing it in! Sounds like fun, too. Gotta take advantage of those free trips!

Mmm, lobster. A couple of months ago, Costco had one of their seafood roadshows, and I got a wild lobster tail. Thing was huge, fed all three of us. And soooo good. Much better than the last cruise, where they had those small, overcooked tails.

I think our bottle of ketchup is in the pantry, it hasn't been out in at least a year. Maybe we should toss that bottle. That's the difference between a 5 yo and 15 yo. At 5, food had to be flavorless, or have ketchup on it. She shocked us the other night. I served the Thai green beans from TJ's with dinner, and she LOVED them. Very hot and spicy. We might turn her into a chile lover yet.

Samantha, how was the circus? We were supposed to go this year, but time just got away from me and now we'll be sitting in the "blue" seats and that's no fun. Was it David LaReablay(that's phonetic, not the real spelling). Do you know who I mean? He's the ring master. I love him. Tell me all about it.

Maria, the circus was fun. I have no idea who the ring master was, but he was good. The circus has changed a lot since the last time I went (which was probably 25 years ago - eeks!). For one thing, there was a story through the whole thing. Basically, it was about a family that all wanted to join the circus. Dad wanted to be the ringmaster, sister wanted to be a dance, Mom an acrobat, etc. The son couldn't decide, so the whole show was about him deciding what he wanted to do. Kind of strange.

There were a lot less animals, too. Besides around half a dozen elephants, there were just some dogs, cats (the house variety) and birds.

The acrobats were incredible. The trapeeze artists made Jim cringe (they just kind of freak him out for some reason), but were amazing to watch. The clowns were, well, clowns.

All in all, it was a fun afternoon, and I'm glad we went. Erin had a blast. Thankfully she hasn't decided that she wants to be an arialist!

my housework is calling. Hate it!!!

OK, just had a house cleaning "not-gonna-tell-Jim-about-this-cause-he-won't-let-me-live-it-down" moment. He left for the gym, and I offered to finish the vacuuming. (He usually does the cleaning - long story.) Well, I drag the big ole purple vacuum cleaner up the stairs, plug it in, and can't for the life of me figure out how to recline it so it will actually suck out of the carpet. Obviously, I don't vacuum often, seeing as we've had this thing for 8 months! I finally figured it out by going to the Dyson webpage and looking at the user manual online.

I think I'll stick to scrapbooking. Obviously, housework is not for me!

What great plans,,,,and you will have just as much fun taking time to visit the AKL and stroll around. You can drink more wine that way....Boma is one of our favourite resturants - the African wine is great....and the African flair food is very good...try the hot sauce they offer on the buffet...yummy....and the chicken, super......They have a variety of African style vegies...also intersting, don't tell the kids they are interesting or they won't eat them....Make ressies, it is popular.

And us African people are great too as you will see. We also like Boma, haven't been for a while though. They will even sing HB to you in a native language.

NYC intimidates me to no end. I'm fine if I'm driving in for a meeting and know exactly where I'm going (thank goodness for GPS!), but to just go in for fun... uh... no. I'm just not familiar enough with the streets to find my way around.

Now, for MSG, I've found a way around that one. I can actually take the train from here straight to Penn Station, which is conveniently located under MSG. Don't even have to go outside! That's where we saw the circus this weekend. THAT I could do on my own. (Oooh... I'm starting to sound brave!)

Hmmm...now you have me thinking maybe I can do this. The Phoenix dates are out for me, because in my excitement, I forgot that my DD Taylor is going to CO for the summer on June 10th! I will have to put her on an airplane all by herself and I have to be here in town to do that. I will be nervous due to that...

Hey! It's Amanda and my family just booked the cruise today. So I was wondering if there were any other teens going on this cruise.
