When I went, the minimum age was 18... but it wasn't in DeLand.

You DO realize that your health and/or life insurance WON'T cover you if anything happens... they make you sign more paperwork than buying a house.

If you land on our dock, I'll get you a beer... right after I scrape you off the pavement.

Actually, it's kind of like scuba diving. Most health and Life insurance do not exclude it. If it is not excluded, its covered.

When you read the fine print on these policies, which I enjoy doing, many things are covered or not excluded that might surprise people.

Sorry, I know its early in the morning for an insurance debate, but I'm a morning guy.

JIM, what is a Free Fall party? I stand by my theory that you are trying to kill that kid before he reaches 18. No college tuition, right?

Actually, he is trying to do me in. He wants to do a tandem skydive.

I hope we can pull it off because it will make one heck of a 16 birthday experience.

Jim - Have you ever done this b4? Tandem meaning you and Matt together or each with an instructor? Does Sharon know about this?

Each with an instructor. It was Sharon's idea. :confused3

Yes, I planning on going with him. I hope we don't run into an age issue. Their website does not mention it, but I'll call on Monday to double check.

If I land in your loading dock do I get a free beer?
Do you mean maximum age? I didn't think that you were THAT old :scared1: :stir: :rotfl2: .

DS is finishing up his 1/2 hour of computer game time, then he's going to start working off his debt. I was telling him some of the things he had to do around the house. Vacuuming and dusting sounded fun to him as he's done this before. He made a face when I said he had to clean toilets. But my big score was when I told him he had to change and wash the sheets off all of our beds, including the spare room. He thought that was 'girls' work'. BINGO! I think I can get 2 or 3 loads of laundry out of him today. He wanted to go to church this morning, but I really don't care for the Easter cantata which is today. We'll be bad and skip church this week.

Good Morning Cruisers. Happy Palm Sunday. Need to get around so we can make church on time. They are going to have a video that they did with all of the kids fromt he confirmation trip last weekend. They took some great pictures of the kids doing the ropes challenge, rock walls, etc.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

It's a chilly morning, in the 30's, but is supposed get up to 60 and sunny. DH put up lattice work around the propane tank yesterday. Now we have a place to plant our clementis that we originally bought to plant around the barn that is no longer there. Hopefully we can get those and the peonies out of the boxes and planted today.

Hope your little one is better --- please, please send rain.....thank you.

Thanks for the rain, we did receive some last night, about an inch wicked thunder and lightning storm also, but sunny now....

Cruise Question!

As a group did we decide to get wristbands? I can't remember the outcome of the discussion and don't see anything on Mary's page.

Thanks,

Sue

It's on Beach St just N of ISB. It is good. Hope you enjoy cooking your own food because that is how it works. People who enjoy mixing their own vegs, meats, sauces, spices really enjoy it. Matt tried lots of new combos.

We love a good Mongolian BBQ!

A T.O.P. with Jim and food....that seems about right.....

I think so.....whee - 4 days drought broken...

Sue, I am dredging up my memordy on wrist bands....we had them for the November cuise, but we are going with badges.

I recall no "takers" on the wrist band idea????????

Can we combine his with Jordan's? She's been driving me nuts wanting to know what we're doing for her "Sweet Sixteen". I tried to tell her that we were taking she and a friend on an all-expense paid cruise to CC (x2), Costa Maya and Cozumel....she didn't fall for that. And I am running out of time. Her birthday is May 11.
Why don't you get her a cute little purse and put the tickets/reservations/confirmations in there???

Thanks Irene, we had them on our Jan cruise. Guess that is what I am remembering.

Looks like everyone is busy off doing stuff today. We went to church and then to our favorite mexican food place for lunch. Brought the kids home and assigned them chores while Charley and I took off for Kohls and Sams. Had some stuff to take back, but I did get two pair of shoes and Charley got a new pair of swimming trunks and t-shirt. We are getting close to not having to buy anything else new for the cruise, except all the small stuff like sunscreen, batteries, dvd's for the camera, etc. All that stuff really starts adding up.

Whew. Made it home! Left DC today around 9am and got home at around 5.

What a wonderful trip. I was a bit nervous about anyone liking it b/c it wasn't "Disney" but we had a GREAT time, saw some AMAZING stuff, and learned a LOT! :)

Now I'm vegging for the rest of the evening. I'd like to think I'll catch up on reading the posts from when I was gone, but I highly doubt I will! :)

Sue....the weather should start getting nicer for you now....I'm back in Ohio. ;)
