Saw a short on the Today show --- a group of (seemingly intelligent folks) make a pact to buy nothing new for one year - exceptions yes, food, toilietries, underwear, but no shopping for clothes, dvd,s toys etc...

Couse they were allowed to shop at thrift stores.....

How would your daughter fit in with them?????

Maybe I could use that as punishment :lmao: :lmao:
She definately would not do well with that but then neither would I!!!! :lmao: :lmao:

Hey everybody - I'm back home!!! I know, I know --- "OH! Were you gone? We hadn't noticed!" :lmao:

Had a GREAT trip to WDW. Tori LOVES Expedition Everest :woohoo:

We got home just in time for the big storms that moved through Georgia last night. Angie & Julia: how did your areas do? Lots of damage around metro Atlanta, but none in our neighborhood. Amanda? Did Columbus get the bad weather? Y'all need to check in so we know all is well, OK?

We are ok, we got the heavy rain and wind and I got woken up at 4am read a while and then went back to bed.

Welcome back and glad you had a great time in WDW.

Spent the morning with my Niece and sister, Sister and I went thru Batmitzvah plans, chose a menu and now I need to get quote, we have the hall booked, photographer booked and DJ booked, we talked about decor (theme) and invitations etc etc
It seems to be coming together!!!

Then I went shopping after dropping DD at home after I told her I wasn't buying her more stuff!!!!
Did though even without her there, got her 2 more bobby jack shirts and and some skirts.

Hi, Julia! I'm here - for a few minutes anyway!! Nice job "pirating" that TOP!!!

Glad to hear your area is OK. Some of Cobb County and North Fulton didn't fare too well. From what I just heard on the news, they've confirmed at least 4 tornadoes in the area - thank God, no deaths.

Planning a Batmitzvah sounds almost as complex as planning a wedding. I'm sure your sister & niece are grateful for the help! Have y'all decided on a theme yet? Happy planning!

Tonight is our bowling night and I can't go. Little guy had a temp this morning. Of course he's fine now, but don't feel right having a babysitter come over. Don't want to subject her to this thing we're fighting here.

Ugly day here today. It rained, hailed a little and was just plain miserable out. I am happy to say that me and the boys are still in our PJs. No sense changing them now. We just lounged ALL day. We did sucessfully get the bird to come out of his cage. Don't tell the boys, but I think he prefers me. I had him on my hand, on AJ's shoulder and Anthony's hand. Really cool. Then the little bugger didn't want to go back into the cage. Now he's just hanging out in the cage. He's probably soooo tired from flappin' around.

I'll try my best to send down some of this precipitation down South.

It is like a mini wedding luckily we are doing a combined reception party as the girls are born 2 weeks apart. Some people really go overboard but we are trying not too!!! :teeth:
We are doing a Hawaiian theme and of course including monkeys!!!

As long as the rain arrives and then leaves priro to May 28th!!! Then we will take it...

It's just that when it's raining outside and someone from a sunny place chimes in, it hurts!! It's OK....I guess. The sun will come out - tomorrow!!

Coachpug - Where's Christopher? AJ wants to talk to him on the teens and in-betweens board. I know Elizabeth's on there. They already posted.

Looks pretty quiet here today. We did swim practice this morning, then I came home and did some housework and laundry, then balanced the check book for the last 2 months and paid bills and got ashley to her music lesson. She then went out to dinner with her best friend and family at P.F. Changs. I don't even know what the rest of us are going to do for dinner yet. At the moment, I don't really feel like doing anything. Oh well, guess I better get in there and decide on something.

Cool!!!

Are you going to jump??? Just be sure to aim for the dropzone... do you have any idea how many people end up on the lawn in front of my office!

We had a guy hit the loading dock pretty hard last year. (Never the tandems though... the guides are always good- its the hot-doggers that dive all the time who end up making the long walk back across the street. )

Yes, I planning on going with him. I hope we don't run into an age issue. Their website does not mention it, but I'll call on Monday to double check.

If I land in your loading dock do I get a free beer?
