You are one cool Mom. I never got beer when I was in elementary school. :rotfl2:
Do they "graduate" to harder stuff??? :earseek:

I've heard that Florida is quite progressive, but????

OM, I'm pretty sure the Balloon Fiesta starts the second weekend in October, and continues through the third weekend, with stuff going on all week. It's the biggest one in the US I think. They also have a Special Shapes Rodeo that the kids love, that's all the balloons that aren't just round. That's also the event that gets cancelled most often due to weather. The balloon glow gets pretty iffy sometimes too. But the weather is nice, it's pretty amazing!

I should add that it requires plenty of pre-planning, hotel rooms and rental cars get taken early on. If we had a pool house, you could stay there, but unfortunately we don't. We need to do something about that. We have a pond, but not much room for a house next to it.

I'm back at work now. I was at the mall during "lunch". Is it a good thing or a bad thing that the mall is 1 mile from work??? Went to shop for a new dryer and to shop at Gymboree. I have GymBucks from Gymboree that are BURNING a whole in my pocket! For those of you that don't have kids (or don't shop there), they have certain times of the year that if you purchase $50 then you get 1 GymBuck for 50% off a purchase of $50. I have 2 GymBucks. Sounds great to have 50% off but in essence it's really 25% off if I use it. But, if I don't use it then it's NOTHING off! Yea, that's my story & I'm stickin' to it. I really shouldn't be spending any more money since we need a new dryer, the 12-month same-as-cash financing on Ashley's big-girl furniture is due, the credit card bill with the downpayment on the truck is coming due, AND our final payment on the cruise is due!!! Anyone one want to send me some money interest free????

What do you mean? There IS a house right next to it (and up a bit)! Two doors, a swing, windows, skylight, wonderful view and is unoccupied. :rotfl2:

No, no, no... it's for the local private school's golf tournament this weekend. (The adults are playing golf, not the kids.) But let me tell you, you sure get some interesting looks when you walk into the principals office with 12 cases of beer!!! Of course, this is NOT a public school... (and NOT one that I can afford to send my kids to)

And in terms of being a 'cool mom'... when we first moved here and I got my job, my company vehicle was a large, fully-logo'ed F-150 pickup truck... Christopher told his teachers (and anyone else who would listen) that "My mom works with Jr. and drives a beer truck"... they thought I was a beer delivery guy...

hmm - add that to the tuxedo strawberries and wine - and we'd have an awesome cruise kit... :)

Don't worry... already working on it... looking for just the right 'addition' to the cruise kit...

It's the double scoop transport to the port!!! the budweiser wagon :cool1:

Cleaning up after the Clydesdales brings a whole new meaning to "Double Scooper" - :rotfl2:

I think we want to get to the port faster than that. Can Dale Jr. pick us up?

Maybe the FL Tours limo driver we had can drive us to the port....

MCO to the port (dropping off luggage) in 40 minutes!!

Is it me or does that seem FAST?

And I paid all that money for that ride and it was over too quickly!

I can just see it now... filling out my 'special event request' to get the Clydesdales (yes, we can request them... for things like the Super Bowl, the Daytona 500, etc.)

Special Event: Double Scoop Cruise (huh?)
Estimated Attendance: 78 Double Scoopers (usually need a crowd of at least 50,000 to get them)

Now, once we GET them, we have to STABLE them and FEED them (and their crew)... Hey Scuba, can the clydesdales stay in your pool house???

And in terms of scooping... those guys are called the 'ecology unit'... how'd ya like THAT on your business card????

That's a lot better than the alternative ... 'pooper scooper'. But I'm sure they have to explain ecology unit.
