Maybe she is heading to WDW for V&A on Saturday night. Getting a early start?

Up early today - We packed last night for V/A -- took almost as many clothes as we did for our last cruise... :rotfl2:

We have 3 bottles of champagne, not that is overkill....and one orchid for our guests....and Hedgie's hats....Camera, I have not packed the camera....

gotta run...I must, must get the one remaining box of Christmas decorations in the attice before we leave....

Have fun everyone.

Good Morning All - Have fun Irene, Sam and Hedgie!!!

Jim - Sorry about Molly. Bladder issues are very common in older dogs. Best to talk with your vet. Good Luck.

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Friday!

Looks like we are headed for some snow. We really haven't seen much because the last time it really snowed enough to stick we leave for CA! Have a great day everyone!

sigh,

I get all excited about my pseudo-on-line document and resolve to wait patiently until the real one comes, then I click over to the main boards and I see this...

back to acting like a 2 year old --- yelling at the top of my lungs...."MINE....GIMME, GIMME,...."

Hopefully we'll all get something cool like that after this cruise. Something to look forward to.

I'm thinking of taking her to the vet for a bladder checkup. Do dogs develop bladder control issues when they get older?

It 'Depends'... (sorry, couldn't resist).

We took Gretchen to the vet recently because she has developed a 'slow leak', which only happens when she is laying down in one place for awhile... he said that its a common problem, as is Molly's problem (thankfully, we're not there yet... this dog drives me crazy enough) the vet said he can give Gretchen medication to give her better control... we haven't picked up the Rx yet, as she has been a bit better lately, and we haven't had the time to get over there...

wow. thank you, everyone.
i was just thinking yesterday that it's been 10 months since we surrendered "the beast" and reflecting on how much calmer our life is (even with it's ups and downs, those were less "up and down" not having to deal with her)

and now the discussion about bladder control issues and incontinent dogs....

makes me even more grateful that is no longer an issue for us.

and, kikiKaren....i am IMPRESSED with your vet! they gave you a prescription to fill ELSEWHERE? so many of them just give you their overpriced medication from their stocks!! once i came home with an antibiotic for one of the animals and mike said "YOU PAID HOW MUCH for that???"

I saw that earlier and was really hoping you wouldn't notice it. Dead cockroaches are soooo unladylike. And they crunch too. Ha! That reminds me of the bug by our hotel room in Houston! Eeewwww.

Yeah, but if you've seen Maggie as 2 year old flat on her back, limbs flying in full temper- she looks exactly like a dying cockroach...

thanks for claifying. i kept hearing reference to "dead cockroaches" in respect to "kids having a temper tantrum" and i couldn't make the connection. i thought dead cockroaches would lie still and i KNEW tantruming kids didn't...

but it's DYING cockroaches....now THAT is a good simile!

sorry, we always called her tempers "dead cockroach" - but, yep - dying would be more appropriate... :)

ah, yeah, like the mom that kept bringing her kid into the office where i worked b/c he kept passing out. everytime he got mad, he'd pass out. of course, he never turned blue and as soon as he was out he'd start breathing again.....

it was just his way of having a temper tantrum.

only thing we could tell her was "don't make him mad at the top of a flight of stairs!" ;)

at least you didn't say "Take him to the ER the next time it happens...."

all is quiet....
Not here...

I figured you were going for the TOP...

but it certainly isn't quiet here... they are painting our offices, and the HUGE (think industrial strength) fan is outside my door to blow the smell outside... (my office is next to our outside door. I am sooooooo sick of listening to it- I think I'd rather smell the horrendous paint fumes. (Kilz primer is AWFUL!!)

Even with my door closed, the fan is loud... time to go out on the road and see what's happening in the rest of the world...

I'll trade ya. You should hear how loud it is working in a welding shop....and the forge and anvil are right outside my office. bang bang bang bang

BTW...I love the smell of paint fumes. And I don't think they've had any effect on me after all these years.
