BTW...it's State Farm....we've been with the same agent for almost 20 years, and never had a claim...except a broken windshield a couple of times.

ask me tomorrow what i was going to say on this issue.....

Thanks, Jim.....all I have to go by is the Kelley Blue Book that I ran....and apparently, the insurance company told Megan that they usually pay better than Blue Book. We'll see. I am not the type to fight over something like that....but if Blue Book says $5000....I don't want them to tell her $1000..and have her take it! She's going to have to buy another car. BTW...it's State Farm....we've been with the same agent for almost 20 years, and never had a claim...except a broken windshield a couple of times.

State Farm will treat you well. You have the internet to help set the price. Go on line and start looking for used cars just like her's. Find comparables, same year, model, make. Make adjustments for mileage and features. That is the best way to determine the value.

The theory is that need to put you back into the same position as you were before the accident. Ideally they would drive up with an identical car for her, but sense that is not practical they look what similar cars in a similar condition are selling for.

We use to go through newspaper classified ads looking for comps. Now you can use the internet.

But Matt's not as hairy.

But his friends are.

At the horse ranch over Christmas Matt rode BB. It was short for Big Belgium. He had to ride the biggest horse they had, a Belgium draft horse. It was a beast of an animal, but fun to ride.

Good morning Cruisers!

We sail in 18 weeks!

Woo Hoo - another week closer to cruising!

Winter has finally come to Chicago. Lots of snow last night. Mark has been up since 4 am and is out plowing two lots where he works.

I'm beat because I was in chat until after 11 pm last night. Our group from the Member Cruise has been getting together in chat and then getting a separate room. Well we had 10 people in there last night. We even had a surprise visit from a very special guest. Karen - David (aka Foxxboys) stopped by. David is an ex DVC CM who was one of the driving forces behind the last Member Cruise. It was fun to chat with him.

David is a good guy!! I'm sad that he left. :(
My wonderful vacation guide also left last month (heard it on the DIS) :(
Is it something I said?

Good Morning All!

At the last minute yesterday afternoon, a friend called with 2 tickets to see Tommy Tune in Dr. Doolittle. Scrambled to find a babysitter and off we went. It was a cute show. I guess he stepped in after a miserable fall run to direct and revamp the show - Houston was the first stop for the "new" show. Maggie would have loved going-it was primarily tap dance.

Busy day today, Mike has 2 basketball games-one at 9:00 and the other at 12:30 then Maggie has pictures before her 2:00 game. Then make-up and costume for our party this evening. As of now, Ginger Rogers has won - but, then again with the same wig, I do have a awesome slinky dress which would be perfect for Jean Harlow! John is our paparazzi for this evening-I'll try to post pictures - but, considering I still haven't figured out how to get our mini-meet picture to post, don't hold your breath...

Keep talking about the snow,Mary - reminds me of why I love Houston so much! Our snow shovel makes a great dust pan in the garage.

Good Morning, Gary!

pirate:

The day's off to a great start - pirated the top - with my whole family, Mary and Stacey!!! Considering Mike woke up with a horrible attitude, the top may be the best part of the morning.. :sunny:

Good morning everyone. I'm soooo excited! 18 more weeks!!!

Today is my big guy, AJ's 10th birthday!!! Double digits. There's no turning back now. We'll be going out for dinner tonight and probably a run to Toys R Us....to exchange some of those Jeffrey Dollars(aka gift certificates) for something great. He already had a party last weekend with his friends. Not much family around to party with.

Weather has been warm here in NY. Gets chilly at night, but in the 50's during the day. All the snow is gone. I actually miss it. I LOVE the snow!

Well, not much else to say at this point. I better get dressed. I'm waiting for a delivery of my new mirror over my vanity in my NEW master bathroom. Wahhoooo!!! It's the little things in life. :cool1:

TTFN,
Maria
