so, then can we compromise and pull the wagon behind Jr.'s car???

Uh...I've got a mental picture of what this ride would be like.

Thank you, but I think I'll call the limo service again! ;) (it'll be cheaper than our medical deductible X4) ;)

Check your policy... most of them state somewhere that accidents that occur in a race car or while skydiving are not covered by conventional medical insurance. (My FIL still drives a race car... has to have supplemental medical insurance... ) You're better off with the limo!

Special Event: Double Scoop Cruise (huh?)
Estimated Attendance: 78 Double Scoopers

Ok...
It took me awhile, but all of a sudden (while breading pork chops) it dawned on me...

We won't JUST be 78 Double Scoopers....

We'll be 78 Double Scoopers....WITH LUGGAGE!!!! Doesn't that count for SOMETHING??? ;) :rotfl2:

Now, once we GET them, we have to STABLE them and FEED them (and their crew)... Hey Scuba, can the clydesdales stay in your pool house???

I already Stable and Feed Matt. I can't afford another clydesdale.

Insurance company called. They "totalled" Megan's car. They'll be calling on Monday to make her an offer. Does that mean she can turn the offer down? And if she does, is it like "Let's Make a Deal"? If she doesn't choose wisely, she could end up with less??

Blue Book on her car would be between $5000 and $5500.

Taken from the logistics guidelines:

The following is a guide for daily requirements:
  • 6 bales of Timothy Hay per day, if 2-wire bales
  • 4 bales of Timothy Hay per day, if 3-wire bales
  • Grain order determined by on-site supervisor
And you thought MATT ate a lot!!!!

Boy did that bring up more than a few unpleasant memories! Megan's dad trains race horses. I used to help him feed.....the Timothy made me itch something fierce, and we used our hands to mix liquid vitamins into the grain...it had a horrible stench to it...and my hands got all icky.

I just got to thinking....those of you that know me probably have a really hard time picturing me in a barn.....scooping.....OMG...the theme song from Green Acres just popped into my head! :rotfl2:

You do not have to accept their offer and it is usually negotiable. If you are dealing with a standard company they will try to make it fair for you without giving away the store. The key is to be reasonable and be able to support your position. They don't want angry clients, but they can't make poor decisions.

Frankly, the adjuster just wants to pay something, close the file, and go on to the next one. They need to be able to justify what they are paying to their supervisors.

Just my views as someone who has been in the business for 20 years and was once an adjuster which is where I learned a lot about people.

For Stacey & Jay!

Cave Creek is the place to be
Desert living is the life for me
Land spreading out,
so far and wide
Keep Las Vegas,
just give me that countryside.

Las Vegas
is where I'd rather stay
I get allergic smelling hay
I just adore a penthouse view
Darling, I love you,
but give me The Strip with you!

The Chores

The Stores

Fresh air

Stratosphere

You are my wife. Goodbye city life.

Cave Creek, we are there!

Thanks, Jim.....all I have to go by is the Kelley Blue Book that I ran....and apparently, the insurance company told Megan that they usually pay better than Blue Book. We'll see. I am not the type to fight over something like that....but if Blue Book says $5000....I don't want them to tell her $1000..and have her take it! She's going to have to buy another car. BTW...it's State Farm....we've been with the same agent for almost 20 years, and never had a claim...except a broken windshield a couple of times.
