Website update!

I've updated the website with everyone I've heard from regarding buttons and the mini-navigator. If you've sent me a pm you can check on the site to make sure I've added you in. We are up to 75 buttons!

If you haven't pm'd me yet there is still time. Just drop me a pm if you want buttons and the mini-nav for your family.

Hey Diana, are you waiting for Kevin to PM Mary with the info? I think you better get it done because he is to busy packing port already. :rotfl:

I am a share holder with Disney and RC. Get a nice on board credit from RC, nothing from Disney, BUT I love the annual report pix.

Maria,

Since we'll be technically ordering the shirts & bags ourselves, I don't really need to let you know that I now want a shirt??? Were you just getting a ballpark figure to determine cost? Just let me know if I need to give you any info.

Angie

If you could just let me know what size and style you guys are interested in, I'm just keeping it all on a spreadsheet and will compare that list with orders so that someone doesn't forget to place their order.

Thanks.

London, England....probably...
London, Ohio...probably not! HA.

Ok, so I have HH's go ahead that these look cool (at least LOOK cool!) HA. Now, finding someone who can do something about it. Hmmm. I'll have to look into that--maybe starting with Angie's List.

Think I'd need to up my insulation FIRST (it's the floofy stuff, not the roll on stuff) and THEN do this? Looks like I'd need some vents. Right now I just have the shingled/ridge vent which I'm reading are really not that good.

OOOORRRRRR.....I could MOVE to Phoenix and then use these guys. Hmmm.....

List? What list? Did I have a list? :confused3

Radiant barrier information for anyone who is interested:

From the DOE:

http://www.ornl.gov/sci/roofs+walls/radiant/rb_01.html
Interesting link!

The radiant chips or flakes you were talking about sounds interesting since it can be blown in over the existing insulation and "attic floor". This potentially gives a easier installation process, gives the radiant properties of the reflective barrier. The higher emissivity rating of the flakes is not prime, but still a nice compromise between the extra labor sheet materials would cost in an existing attic space with limited access.

I just wanted to add ... please keep everyone in the gulf coast region in your prayers. I know many are tired of hearing about it and all of the whining & pointing of fingers that has gone on (me included sometimes). But until you're there & see it, it's hard to fathom. It helps that we know what things looked like before. As I was driving around on Fri. my heart was breaking. Even though some areas of New Orleans were less than desirable, it still broke my heart. Too drive at night through an entire "city" where SOME street lights are on but NO stop lights & no lights are on at ANY business or house is just sad & eerie. Then yesterday to see how much is just plain GONE from the MS gulf coast is heart-breaking too. And, when you know someone personally that has lost EVERYTHING and is caught up in the beaurocracy of trying to get on with their lives, just hurts.

Ok ... off my soap box.

Angie

Angie,
I still think about the Glf Coast daily. I just cant imagine. Did you take any pictures? Care to share if you did? Did you see progress being made??

This is a sample of the artwork. You can't see the detail on the cone, however

I think it looks great! You all have done an awesome job! Thank You!!!!!!!

So I guess the consensus is that the artwork is okay?? I will get with her tomorrow to see how the order form is coming along. HOpefully we can get that up so people can print it off and review.

Has anyone here done the Catamaran Snorkel on Castaway Cay? I was thinking about it, but not sure if it would be worth it if it doesn't take you very far from shore. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

HA HA HA. Not that I know of....
Angie's List is a company that keeps track of businesses and contractors so that when you want to have something done on your house you can refer to the list and find someone who is good. Members submit reports on companies after they've used them as to if they were prompt, professional, good value, etc etc.

They are in certain areas across the country. :) Atlanta being one of them.
(should you decide to join, let me refer you!---same with DVC!) :lmao:

PLUS....did you see that if a sheet of it is just laid over the existing insulation that dust can decrease it's effectiveness in as little as a YEAR? but with the chips, only the top layer gets dusty and the others still do their job. Sounds like a good compromise instead of nailing individual sheets under the roof sheeting. Of course, I could always build a NEW house....so that way I'm not retrofitting...

I've already got "demands" for the "NEW" house....on a slight hill so water drains away from the house. I want geothermal. Now radiant barrier insulation. Hmmm....what else?

Amanda - I pm'd you - disregard first pm....Can you say OOOOPs.....Thanks...Irene

Looky here - off the boards all night and a TOP with Amanda.
