We just got back from his testing, 6 hours long. It's official. He is now a second degree and will continue to work towards the third degree. I'm hoping he will put these skills to good use and protect his sister.
Way to Go Matt!! So does that accomplishment call for a special dinner.

Like some kind of "All you can Eat" buffet??? :rotfl2:

Good morning cruisers!

Of course. Every accomplishment calls for food.

I was going to cook, but we did not get home until 3:00 so not enough time to prep and still get a nap. We went to Stonewoods and he ate well. New York Strip Oscar.

Hmmmm - it seems like there may be trouble brewing in our group.... LSU already beat the WVU basketball team.... but I let that pass since we beat them last year.... but - if LSU wins - they'll probably face WVU in the Sugar Bowl.... Hmmmm....

We plan on coming down for the game.....

everything came up roses for the OSU Buckeyes. something about #4 and #5 losing, moving us up to #4.... :)

Fortunately, Richard was a quick thinker and replied, "The weather
didn't agree with me."

:rotfl2:

Well, they were right here yesterday....said "winter weather advisory" and we kept laughing b/c the sky went from cloudy to bright blue all day.

then the ice hit.

we were right on that pink band between snow and rain. the pink band that i always see on the weather channel and say "wow, glad we're not there"

not only were we there, but we were DRIVING in it! blech!

Laura, the Dawgs surely looked a whole lot better than the Tigers. I never thought LSU should have been ranked as high as they were. Virgil, your team will be playing the Dawgs in the Sugar Bowl. LSU will be back for the Peach.

Ang

Angie, the Tigers are a way better team than the game they played last night. It was just one of those games - Dawgs were "right on" their game; and when the Tigers made a mistake, the Dawgs were there to take advantage of it.

I was elated to see D.J. get Player of the Game. He'd been in the shadows for 4 years and it was great to see him *shine* :goodvibes It's personal for us because my daughter, Rachel, knows so many of these guys.

I can't believe we have sunken to new lows.....

It's time for a bump!!!

One show down, one to go. Alicia was in a Christmas show this weekend, dress rehearsal for most of Saturday, performance Saturday night and this afternoon. She danced, and had a lead acting role, even got her picture in the paper. Good experience, but glad that one's over. One more show at the studio in two weeks, and then we have two weeks where we don't have to be anywhere! That will be weird.

Very, very cold here. Real feel is 20 degrees. Good night to wrap up in a blanket and watch Desperate Housewives! Anyone watching it tonight?

Wow! It has been a quiet day on the thread. Finished up Christmas Cards while watching still watching 24. Went to Mike's end of season soccer party for a bit then Maggie and I took off to the movies to see "Yours, Mine and Ours" the original is still better - but, it was cute.

We're home! I'll catch up on what I missed here tomorrow, just wanted to pop in. I hope everyone is fine!!

We had fun. Got some nice goodies at the Gift Shoppe.
We took the kids to a very cool antique car show....almost all of the cars were also for sale. What was really cool was that they told the "history" of each car, where it was made, and who owned it. They had a Presidential car that was once both Roosevelt's and Truman's. Over 250 cars.
The kids were amazed at the canal at the Venetian. We saw a couple being married while in one of the gondolas...very romantic!

I was glad Jordan got to go with us, afterall. We had a great time together, the four of us. And she was glad, I'm sure, because I took her shopping.

Anyway, we're all exhausted so we're heading to bed.

Again, I hope everyone had a great weekend and hope that all is well!

Candlelight Processional was a beautiful as ever.

We are back after a short trip to WDW this weekend. We had a late start Friday afternoon, but arrived in time to check-in, change and head over to the Grand Foridian for dinner at Narcoossee's, beginning with Fairy Tale and fireworks at 9:15....Dinner was splendid, had a great server.

Saturday morning we headed over to Animal Kingdom. I wanted to see Tarzan Rocks, never made the show before. A very relaxing morning, otherwise, strolling through the paths and trails mostly. Lunch at the African Bar...

That afternoon we went to EPCT - CROWDED and where it was not crowded, it was packed. This was not pleasant. We elbowed our way to Mexico for dinner and then to the line or Candlelight - it stretched to Morrocco....

Sunday, Mass was 9:30. The Shrine did not have the Nativity up yet? Were we earlier this year???? Then back to Epcot for Christmas shopping. A beautiful day, and no crowds. Lunch was at Rose and Crown, on of our favourtites. We stopped at Watersports World before heading home. I needed the underpart to my wetsuit for the December dive. Mine was the outer piece and on sale asit was missing the farmer Jane part... Still undecided on fins. And I hate trying on wetsuits.

Next year, we must get more sleep before we go and I am thinking we may wish to take a 3 day weekend and see Candlelight on a Thursday night. Perhaps the crowds will be less???

So, what have you all been doing this weekend, I take a peek and see.

Did you get a phone number or email address of where this can be done? :confused3

The green does sometimes tend to get messy- I wish they could make it without the color.

Now, I do have a fresh burn on my forearm so I thought I'd try this other product-

Is it named 2nd Skin, in a blue box? Was the only one I could find at the local pharmacy.

The patches are a gel coated thing you have to hold in place with something else. I'm using Nexcare Transpore tape to keep it there. The feeling of it on the burn is unusual to say the least, but not uncomfortable.

I'm curious to see if this works better than me using Nexcare's waterproof bandages for the nastier ones. Both do the same thing; keep the burn area moist, but these 2nd skin have something on them where the Nexcare ones just hold whatever moisture they can trap in, I usually put a dot of Neosporin in the middle of the burn before applying a Nexcare.

Mark - hope it works. Was out of town so did not reply to your post. I placed 2 of the larger pads on the ankles and wrapped then with gauze. The burns were so bad, I had to soak off the 2nd skin at first, but as they healed, the pads would slid off at night. I had a larger area to cover than the bandages.

I thought they were "cool" on the burn.

Hope you feel better....

Good Morning Jim - I see you are up.....Congrats to Matt!!!!! Way to go...

Good luck to all that are shopping and writing cards. I managed to get a good start on mine while Sam drive up and back.

Not a 24 fan, but the pitchers of beer sound good.

Thanks for all the WDW tips - We did see the arch, and some of the gingerbread houses. Missed the parade at the Kingdom, just not enough time. Did not see the Osburn Lights either. Guess we need that extra day.

Haven't turned the heat on yet here - but I have taken out the sweatshirts and sweaters. Cold for me is when it is below 60....

Must unpack, again...and do laundry, again.....and go to work, again...

I'm behind in Christmas decorating. Perhaps we will get the tree up tonight, so I can start putting the lights on Thursday. Must go to the Keys for business tomorrow and WEds. NO, IT IS NOT FUN....Drive for 3 hours. Get into hotel late. Eat dinner, maybe more like McDonalds on the way down. Go to meeting. Sit in large room with no windows. Get into car, drive home in the dark. Sleep....and wonder where was I.

Good Morning Irene - I remember those days. I would put a post-it note on the steering wheel so I would drive to the correct destination!!! I like it better now, the cruises run together in my mind.
