Thanks Sue....I have been known to show up in the wrong Airport - yech!

Laundry done, some unpacking completed.

I found a cute theme for Mother for Christmas. As you may know she is elderly and does not need many more possessions. She requested a donation to the Eartquake victims this year as her present - but I did want to place somethng under the tree. We found a small gift, mostly cookies, chocolate etc, from each of the Epcot countries. I will scan the flags and add the native greetings. Hope she enjoys it.

Another beautiful morning here.
Later....must dash. :wave2:

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Monday!

Back to work for me. Shouldn't be a bad week. Tomorrow is our holiday party at work so that take the whole middle of the day out. Only working Monday through Wednesday. Thursday we leave for Disneyland!

Welcome home Stacey - glad to hear you had a good time.

Welcome home Irene - sounds like you had a short but fun trip to WDW!

Next year, we must get more sleep before we go and I am thinking we may wish to take a 3 day weekend and see Candlelight on a Thursday night. Perhaps the crowds will be less???

Good morning, Irene! I think part of why there were big crowds on Saturday may have been MouseFest (?). They draw big numbers!! :earseek:

Happy Monday to you all. We're "warm" right now (50's) but the temps will be dropping later today and we'll be below freezing tonight. :cold:

Wow... looks like I didn't miss much in terms of posting...

Spent all day Saturday catching up on housework... well, not catching up, but making a dent... my parents get here Thursday for their 3-month stay... God forbid my mother see my linen closet in the disarray that it was in- I'd never hear the end of it... :rotfl2: . Had to break in the new washing machine, too... after a week with no clean laundry, there was plenty of 'real' laundry to catch up on.

Saturday night was the Christmas parade in the town that I work in ... we had a last minute float entry that we sponsored. We were entry #94 out of 120... we didn't get moving til almost 2 hours after the parade started, but by that time, everyone was in such a hurry that we were practically sprinting down the street for the entire 2 miles. And of course, we had the worlds WORST (sorry, kids) Middle School marching band behind us. They only knew 2 songs, and both of them were BAD!!!

Spent yesterday at MK. It was the final taping day for the WDW Christmas Parade... we stayed away from Main Street, and the rest of the park was practically empty. Most of the FP machines weren't even running, that's how empty it was.

We were the 'first family of the day' on Spaceranger Spin, so we got a certificate and 2 free 8x10's of us on the ride. (They are the first GOOD ride photos I've ever seen us in!!) The kids thought it was great! I tried taking a bunch of photos of the kids, in an attempt to have a decent Christmas photo, but no luck... I have one really good one, but its not "Chrismas-y" like I wanted... oh well- no time to print them before getting cards out anyway.

After hearing Christopher ask over and over and over and over and over... every time we go, he FINALLY found "PUSH". He was ecstatic!! That's all he's talked about since yesterday. He also got to ride in the front of the monorail on the way over to GF something he's never gotten the chance to do- he was so excited.

Went to the GF to check out the giant gingerbread house... the kids had seen it on Food TV, and were really excited to see it in person. Then it was back home to dinner, homework and the reality of Sunday nights. (I hate Sunday nights... that means Monday is right around the corner...)

Yes Diana, of COURSE I watched Desparate Housewives...

Kiki, so jealous of your Sunday outing. That sounds like fun! And home in time for DH, even better.
Is everyone done with Christmas shopping? I'm close! I had a revelation this morning about what to get Alicia's dance team coach. The girls are always using her supply of hair gel, spray, ties, and bobby pins, so I'm going to get her a stash! More of a payback, I guess, because it's probably my kid that forgets that stuff the most.

And Kevin wants to send a gift certificate to his granddaughter. NO fun, I say! Two years olds don't understand gift certificates, but they do understand that a present is from "Poppopeesha". So I'm going to look for something for her, too. Guess I need to go to Target. So when isn't it crowded? Maybe first thing in the morning?

Great idea!! I'll pay you back.......

Kiki & Irene, sounds like you both had a nice to at Disney. Did anyone get to meet up with Maria?

I'm going to online shop today. I've been browsing around but haven't made an purchases yet.

As Laura said ... our weather is wet & COLD :cold: today. We even had a brief hail storm yesterday afternoon. Winter has come too soon!!!

Very, very cold here. Real feel is 20 degrees. Good night to wrap up in a blanket and watch Desperate Housewives! Anyone watching it tonight?

Of Course!!!! I caught up on the one I missed while I was on the cruise and then enjoyed the latest one. I was really surprised they killed off the George. I guess they were tired of that story line.

I'm glad they did... he was just way too creepy... that show has more than enough creepy people.

Well, we spent Sunday afternoon at the Port Orange parade. It was sunny and nice, but the parade was LONG. I have had to walk every other year with Lisa's Gymnastics School, but since she is in the Middle School Band, I got to sit and watch. They were pretty good, but other bands that participated could have used some help. She had to be ready to go by 1pm and it was close to 4pm before it was over. Kiki - I didn't see a entry from Pop Warner Football / Cheerleaders. I guessed they decided to pass this year.

No- we didn't have an entry this year- I certainly didn't mind! I had enough with the DeLand parade...

Hey Diana,

Question for you ... or anyone else that has dancers? Are there any dance merchandise websites that you've bought from before? Two years ago I bought Emily a Princess Aurora dance box from The Disney Store. Now Ashley wants her own. Of course, TDS no longer sells them. So, I'm looking for some other "girlie" box or bag for her.

Thanks,
Angie

I know, I am waaay behind in catching up with posts.....I still don't know if Diana had any ideas for you...but....Jordan loves Aurora, and I can never find anything with her on it anymore! It's all Cinderella, Cinderella, Cinderella. I guess you could try eBay. I'll look at a couple of other stores that I know of and see if I find anything. Will let you know. (One of the stores, you have to be a member, or I'd send you there)

Check this out. We had this made for a "Cats 24/7" book for Nick for Christmas. Notice anything familiar?

In the words of Mary.....How cool is THAT?

Very cool!

Yeah! A top shared with Karen and the kitties!

I am glad I didn't whine about the predicted snow. We may only get 1 inch.

This link is a pic of my sister- Deb, her hubby Mike and my dear Nick and Emmy. They are in WDW this week. Not sure who Nick is getting ready to bite. It is a shame Bruce (from Nemo) isn't in the background.

Sue
Cute!

We've done that before and sent it home. We beat the email back....... :earseek:

Stacey, you're good. I did a search for "princess dance box" and it didn't turn up.

Cute picture, Sue!

I'm supposed to have Kevin scan that picture of Alicia from the newspaper. Stacey wants to see it.

Maybe this will be a reminder.
