Hey Pam, glad that at least you can go on the cruise! Rotten that your DH might not get to stay for WDW, but it's kind of fun with just the kids. I've done that annually for the past four years.

OK, it is a little weird that we haven't heard from Stacey. I figure it's got to be one of these reasons: 1) the ship lost its internet connection; 2) the computers are always occupied and she can't get on; 3) Jay prevailed upon her to make their romantic couples cruise all about togetherness; or 4) she's having so much fun she forgot all about us!

I'm betting on #1.
I'm throwing my support for Number 3!! :earseek:

Hmmm....
1. Best choice
2. Ha - can you see them keeping Stacey away from the net.
3. Maybe - he's quiet but devious....
4. Possibly - doubtful that she'd forget about ALL of us....

or
5. She gambled all her money away in the casino and has to work to pay for her incidentals.... (she'll kill me for this one)...

Awww ... how sweet! You need to make sure your DH read that post. That would be worth some browny points!

Wow - 4" heels. I'm impressed!!! You won't catch me in 4" heels ... can't say that I ever have. I'm always looking for the flattest shoes that I can find. It doesn't help that DH is now shorter than me. We were about the same height before surgery but now I'm definitely taller!

Ang
trust me, 4in heels are NOT my choice - give me tennis shoes and a comfortable pair of sweats any day...but, since he's 6'6" and I'm a "lowly" 5' 8" - I think he's to lazy to bend down to kiss me- and since he does all my "good" clothes shopping so, I won't embarass him in public :teeth: I put up with the spikey heels if he wears a suit and tie...

the ultra low-rise jeans he buys for me are a whole 'nother story.... :rolleyes1

Just think of your dh as your own personal cabana boy, stateroom steward, and head waiter - don't we always complain after a cruise, we wish there was someone to cater to our every need, make the beds, clear dishes etc.... :rotfl2:

Hey - I want wanna these....

Hi everyone -- just checking in. We still have no news on the vacation issue. The other guy is out on vacation now. Hubby has called him 10 x and he won't call him back now. Hubby was calling on behalf of the supervisor who wants to talk to the other guy. Now today, the supervisor is out, so we will not have this resolved until sometime next week. It is killing my husband. It looks like the main issue now is not the week of the cruise, but the week after the cruise. Because we have AP's, timeshare and free airline tickets, we always stay a week in the parks. If all else fails, we may have to fly him home directly after the cruise and me and the kids would stay the additional week. Of course, this is not our first option, but it may have to be unless they do something.

Will update when I know more.

Glad about the cruise, at least.... - I guess the week before is out because of school????

Oh how I WISH I was 5'8"!!!! I have to wear my 3" heels with my jeans because Levi's, even in "SHORT" are too long for me!!!!

sometimes I really love community theatre

Man of La Mancha open thursday- I purposely didn't get involved backstage for this show because with John as the tech director and in school on the weekends, someone needs to run the kids around, and attempt to keep up with the laundry, cleaning etc...

Anyway, just got a call from the this show's asst director, with this list, it appears to me, they forgot all about props, forgot about assigning a prop mistress and they need props tonight...what fun, I'm running around today, the kids are going to so love hunting with me...NOT - I'll have to reward them with McDonalds or something....

I already got a head's up from the company's managing director - (who's trying desperatly to remain hands off) that things were chaotic but, thought I'd at least have tomorrow to run around, too...

Guess this will be an Impossible Dream to get all of this stuff by tonight...

Wow, back surgery makes you taller? My short, sports talented nephew would probably go for that!

I know, I know. There has to be a real reason to have surgery.

Yep ... taller. Remember I had a curve in my back so when the dr. straightened me, I became taller. At my initial appt., I was 5'7". The dr. asked what my tallest height had ever been. It was 5'8". So I'm at least that tall again. I can tell a difference standing next to DH and at the refrigerator. I have to duck my head to get in to both vehicles now. Next car purchase, we'll have to make sure I have enough headroom!

Kikipug, we all wish for what we can't have in our bodies. I'm tall & thin (don't hate me); but I've always thought of it as a curse!!! Although I guess I do appreciate it now more than when I was younger. My legs are so long that I can't find pants long enough for me. Gap jeans are my staple during the winter as I can't find any other pants long enough for me!!!

I'd love to at least have the "thin" part. I'm a respectable 5' 5 1/2". Average. Did pretty well considering my mom and grandma's are/were much shorter. KT on the other hand....they're guessing 5'1"-5'2" for her adult height....which has my mom in a tizzy b/c don't I know how difficult it is for someone that short...they can't find clothes to fit, they can't reach standard countertops well, they can't reach their top cabinets.... :confused3

I've always thought of myself as short, but hanging around my SIL who claims that she is 5'3" (no way) makes me feel tall. I think I'm 5'4". Alicia has an inch on me, hoping she gets at least one more. She's 14 1/2, I think she's slowing down. But Kevin is 6', shouldn't she get a little bit taller? Both her Grandmas are in the 5'8" range.

Lisa would be thankful for 5'1"-5'2", she is hoping for 5'0". She will probably always be tiny and thin. I hope she likes children's clothes, because I think that will remain her future. Virgil - what does Kristin do for clothes?, where does she shop?, she is very tiny also (but she is "all grown up" so she already has solved this problem).

She's actually now a size one - she used to be a zero - if those fit......

Oh, I don't know - a windmill, a suit of armour, a few goblets, a fire, nothing hard there......

Me too! I have a horrible time finding pants and long sleeve shirts...Jr. high and h.s. were miserable periods for me. Tall, awkward, gangly, all arms and legs...Didn't help I didn't play basketball - I ran cross counry and distance in track - not exactly the "in" sports...

That's why I love Chico's - we too can be a zero, 1, or a size 2 !!! :rotfl2:

Got my list of props...

wooden barrels
tin cups, plates,
crates,
shaving bowl
old fashioned ladder
plus others...
thankfully, no windmill on my list...

This is my quest,
To follow that star --
No matter how hopeless,
No matter how far...

I'm off to hunt...Have a great evening!
