Besides a fondness for his DW, Kevin and I actually have something in common!! :teeth:

Hi guys. Long day here.
Amanda, I'll be interested in what you & your DH decided........

The one and only time we tried diving (this summer in the Mexican Rivera) the instructor was asking how much everyone weighed, for the wet-suits. They were all shouting out their weight. I walked over and whispered it to him. But I told the truth! Trying to get into it was bad enough, I couldn't imagine if it had been too small! :rotfl2: Bad enough I waddled off the dock like a penguin!
:rotfl2: You should NEVER lie to your scuba instructor/dive master!! :rotfl2:

Neoprene only stretches sooooo much!!

Have fun!!

Hi folks - good morning....I guess you firgured out, no DSL modem has arrived and I am tired of connecting and unconnecting the dial up cord behind the computer. (plthhhh).

Amanda - What everyone else says goes for me - YOU LOVE YOR JOB - people would "kill" for that.....If layoffs are not eminent, consider all the factors mentioned and this one, what guarantee is there that you will not be layed off at the new job....it has happened to my friends....

CajunGirl - RED - you go....I could never be that adventuresome, DH says at times, my colour choices "hurt his teet".

Barnes and Nobel had the YMCA Scuba book, so I purchased that one to read this next weekend.....study, study, study.....oh, wait, I am supposed to be teaching a course. I thought I was going to this conference to relax at the pool with drinks and little unbrellas.....

OK - OK, I got it, only your hair dresser or the dive instuctor knows for sure........ :rotfl2:

Now, all I need is a shovel and 10 tons of paperwork will be off my desk.

Good morning all!!!

Amanda, I don't envy you. It's a tough one, but like everyone says, go with your gut instinct. I was going to say that that long drive will get to you in the WINTER, baahhhaahaa, but that's not a factor, is it? It would be where I'm from. Like someone said, I can't remember who, but coming home at 7:30 at night, you are in no mood to deal with homework, questions of the day, etc. That would be a deciding factor for me. A lot of people near me commute to NYC on the train and their travel time is about 1- 1 1/2 hours a day. I don't know HOW they do it. Not for me. Good luck with your decision. What DO you do, anyway?

TTFN,
Maria

Here's my insipration. I have this pitcher. Someone has it for sale on ebay. I hope I can link to it this way.

We have an open floor plan. The breakfast room is already an olive green, the kitchen is yellow and now the dining room will be red.

Ang...the only downside I see to that is finding a table cloth that will not clash! I love that pitcher. And I love to see people who decorate with flair. Way to go!!

That's the problem I'm having now....picking colors for the walls. I'm thinking of going with a yellow/gold color in the kitchen/family room and a beige in the DR(I am planning on doing a chair rail with wall paper on the bottom) and a light green in the living room and the hallway going upstairs. The bedroom....possibly a very light mauve color. It's really crazy all these colors, but I am tired of doing my house in very neutral beiges. I'm on the edge...:rotfl:

That's our sign for a female pirate......princess: pirate:

Way to sneak that in there!!

Don't honestly know where that phrase comes from, I guess he means it is too loud. You decide....here was the suggested item for summer fun....

hum, cannot post picture, so I will post a link instead.

As much as I love a tropical theme, I'm afraid that would make my teeth hurt, too!!!

I'm outta here....that dirty four letter word is calling my name again. The "W" word.

I'm not a tablecloth type of person. But, I guess I'm going to have to find placemats. Hadn't thought of that. Well the hunt will be on. The room has the white judge's paneling (I think that's what it's called) at the bottom of the wall. We have white trim around the windows and white faux wood blinds right now. I'm thinking of buying/making an olive green scarf for the windows as an accent. Not sure how this will all pull together but I'll try. It may take a while!!!

We haven't been afraid of color. Emily's room is blue & yellow, Ashley's is pink and green, and their bathroom has a different color (salmon, yellow, lime green & blue) on each wall. We still haven't gotten around to our bedroom but I have purple (eggplant) and taupe in mind.

Here's some pics of the girls bathroom - all inspired by the shower curtain.

IF we ever decide to sell the house, I'm sure we'll HATE all of this color when a realtor says that everythis is too bold!

I like the red comforter, pretty! The decor based on the picture makes me think of Trading Spaces, didn't some of the designers pick an item to base the whole scheme on? Alicia always has great plans for decorating her room each summer, but somehow it never gets done.
