Hi all,

Back safe and sound from LA - Thankfully, no damage at our house...traveled through Rita's path and saw lots of wind damage, power outtages and long lines waiting for gas to be delivered.

Barely stepped out of the car and the neighbor boy was over wanting to play...ugh...we were on the road before 6:00am with no coffee - I really tried hard to be civil...Now, two hours later, he's calling again...

Catching up on posts - Happy un-birthday Stacey! :rotfl2:

At least Patrick bothered to get in shape for Joseph, Donney looked too pastey white and flabby! Sorry Donny fans, but if he's gonna wear a loin cloth at least he should make it look good!!!

Not a desperate housewives fan here - saw about 15 minutes of it once and decided that was enough...

my score was 15...

carry on...

I just got my Disney movie club flyer and they have Rocketman on DVD! I've been waiting for this for a long time. It just won't let me order it online, though.

We found Scoopie's Double!

I'm proud of myself. I opened a photobucket account, uploaded my picture and actually got it posted. It could be a bit smaller, though.

I finally figured out photobucket. And I can help you reduce the size. Go to your album and click "edit" for that picture. One of the choices is reduce size. Typically clicking reduce by 50% gives a great size for posting a picture on the DIS. It does give you a warning though that if you reduce the size, you cannot increase the size again. But, since you know how to upload, you could always upload it again :)

And, the great thing is, it automatically reduces the size on the DIS, you don't need to repost the picture. :)

Thanks! I had it reduced by 50% the first time, but it wasn't as small as I thought it would be. I'll catch on rather quickly, I hope.

Monica, glad to hear you're back safe and sound.

Wow. Must have been huge the first time! :) Lookin' good now! :)

Just back from the pediatrician with Ashley. She's been complaining of her ear hurting for almost a week. But, there were no other symptoms to indicate an infection. Luckily, it's not - just allergies. The nurse practioner suggested putting her on Claritin until winter.

Thought I was doing pretty good with 12 right on the quiz. But, from the look of everyone else's score, I didn't do so well.

Monica,

Glad you're home safe & sound. When will the kids go back to school?

Thanks Angie -

We're glad too - the kids won't go back until Thursday...the final phase of the staggered return to Houston is completed tomorrow and then I guess the staff report back to school on Wednesday for their in-service they were supposed to have last Friday.

Working my way through the 2nd season of ER while doing laundry- no, I'm not that far behind in my TV shows. it came in at the library before we left so, keeping my priorities straight, while on my way to topping off my gas tank, I picked it up along with Gilligan's Island, and MASH - I figured it would be a good diversion last week.

John just left to see what he could scrounge at the grocery store - we've got a bunch of emergency food cans in the pantry but, are now a bit reluctant to break into them until December 1.
