I love this group. All you have to do is mention a future cruise, and everyone says "count me in"! Even if Alaska isn't that great, our curiousity will be quenched, we will have "done that", and had a great time with friends while doing it.

No matter how cold, no matter how boring, and no matter how many "old" people are around, we'd STILL have a great time if we were all cruising together!!

That's a GREAT point, Diana. "count me in!!" not sure about mike...but if he doesn't want to go then the kids can stay home with him!

They would love it! Wish I could convince them to do DCL with us next May... I tried, but didn't succeed. (Mom says 'too many kids') My parents are the 'youngest' 68 & 73 year-olds you'll ever meet.

Let's see... we could probably get some good group rates!!! We are already looking at about 10 cabins for my family...

Have them email my parents. They've now been on TWO disney cruises...and on the last one they rebooked for the next one (jan '06) They are 68 and 71!

I had almost forgotten about that.... Of course if we had told about it when we had started on this thread..... We would've really be called crazy.....

I created it because the boards were having scheduled maintenance and were going down for a WEEKEND. A WEEKEND....can you imagine NOT DIS-ing for a WEEKEND!!! ;)

You know you're "hooked" when you start a forum just to hold you over for a weekend!! :rotfl2:

Not sure that would be a good one for the kids. This will require some research. Doesn't Princess cruise to Alaska? Still to be determined, is there good scuba diving in Alaska? In July/August?

It is rated in the top 10 of the World. I have already picked the trip. It is 6/3/2007 for 6 nights in Port Hardy which is in the inner passage. The trip is a specimen collecting expedition with Vancouver Aquarium. Here is the write up.

Trip Commentary:- Specimen collecting expeditions with the Vancouver Aquarium and Marine Science Centre are one of our favourite trips of the year. The four marine biologists from the Aquarium are all very experienced hands and have never failed to put on lots of interesting presentations, slide shows, "hands on" sessions in the collecting tanks as well as leading a couple of shore expeditions. Personally, we can't wait for this trip. After an afternoon board and departure from Vancouver, we are planning on an easy steam up the protected waters of the Inside Passage arriving in the Stubbs Island area in time for our first dive the next morning.. You can count on doing 3 or maybe even 4 "feature dives" during the next four days at sites including Browning Pass, Dillon Rock, Deserter Islands and Weynton Pass. On the night of June 9th, we will be departing downcoast for an overnight run to the spectacular wreck of the Capilano (weather and visibility permitting) followed by a couple of splashes at Flora Islet on Hornby Island. This is one of the best sites on the coast to spot 6 gill sharks. If the weather or visibility don't cooperate, our backup plan is do one more day of current diving with the wonderful invertebrate life at Campbell River. We're planning on a morning dive on the last day of your trip before returning to Vancouver by 1400.. Please note that the diving will be fairly advanced on this trip and we highly recommend that all divers have a reasonable level of fitness and dive experience. We always try to maximize the diving opportunities during a trip which means that the above itinerary is a guideline only and subject to change without notice.

Not everyone... I'd have WAYYYYY too many... I think there are lots of you going before us... but thanks!!!!

My gears are turning now on getting this surprise stocking put together... someone remind me before you go (not like we won't be blabbermouthing about it plenty), but I want to have someone take a pic of our stateroom door (if someone isn't too scared to go way down in the dungeon of deck 2)... I think I'll put it in a frame and add it to the stocking.

Reading prior posts - trying not to Panic.

I'll take a pic for you....Send Stocking or Door magnets.

It's pouring rain here. Great timing since it is time to take the cat and dog to the vet. Nothing like taking two wet and angry animals to the vet. I think I wait for Sharon to come home and help. :)

ummm.....(saying sheepishly) i looked in my closet and i have about 7 containers of DCL Minnie lotion, 7 DCL Daisy shampoo and a DCL bar of bath soap.

And maybe 50 various and sundry personaly hygeine products from WDW itself.

So, a couple of theories here....either we go to DCL and WDW WAAAAAY too often, or we don't use NEARLY enough personal hygeine items around this house.

I, personally, refuse to believe either of those things!

If you want to get rid of the old shampoo - on Deb's website there is mention of SOS - Soaps and Shampoos for Kids (with cancer) they make gift bags when the kids check into the clinic. You have to pay postage, and we add a small toy or Disney gift, each time we go to WDE - yet another tradition. Kinda cool

Still panicing over the lost cruise post.

Kikipug - that is a great idea. Print up a door magnet and have a picture taken with your door magnet on it. "Welcome home Kikipug and family". That would be neat.
