We've had a wonderful surprise, and something to look forward to. Virgil, Frances and Lauren are coming here for the Fiesta Bowl...so we'll have some "family" for the holidays!!

Their timing is absolutely perfect for all of us. The news really lifted everyone's spirits.

That is great news. Isn't it wonderful how things work out like that?

I'd like to believe that they were coming to be Jay's private nurse and doctor, and to cheer us up......but I *think* it might have more to do with WVU playing in the Fiesta Bowl.
;) :goodvibes

Stacey, thanks for the update on Jay. Slip those pain pills into his coffee in the morning. ;)
Sorry about the cruise, but you're right.....far too stressful to be worrying about that and everything else. Time to take a breather and just relax surrounded by family (and the WVU ppl) ;)

Stacey and Jay - you two continue to take care of each other....I am glad you found out you have surprise guests coming to celebrate...funny how things work out...

Take care.

After a busy week, I am off for a busy weekend....Christmas preparations will be completed - yes they will!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

It's cold and raining here. Maggie's lacrosse practice is canceled. One less place to go this morning...:cool1: We're off to John's aunt and uncle's house for their annual Christmas Brunch open house - a feat of food and pastries. She prepares for weeks. Maggie and her girl scout troop is meeting at noon to carol at an assisted living facility.

Christmas shopping is done - this weekend it will be the cards and the tree...

Virgil, Kristin and Nick are house hunting this weekend in our area. We were able to meet up with them for dinner. I tried to give them a good offer on our house :lmao: It was fun catching up with them. Bad mom forgot to let Mike and Maggie bring their Gameboys to dinner - they finally got antsy after 3 hours of talking ... :rotfl2: I know Virgil is looking forward to his visit to Arizona.

Snowing and cold here. Wintry mix and ice expected today and then snow snow snow tomorrow. Between the two kids, they have 6 shows this weekend.
My parents were supposed to drive down from Cleveland for the shows. After much thought and tears (on my mom's part) they decided to stay home. :(
The kids and I will be staying in town tonight at the Hyatt. KT's show won't get out till 10, and we'll have to be back here around noon tomorrow. No point in fighting the snow and ice back and forth to London. Watch, I'll stay in town and one of two things will happen.....either it'll all turn to rain and we could have come home, or shows tomorrow will be cancelled and I'll be stranded at the Hyatt.

Stranded at the Hyatt.....hmmmm....maybe that's not SO bad. ;)

Had a great time visiting with Monica, John and the kids. The kids suffered through sitting for 3 hours - and were great! It was nice indoctrinating Nick into the DIS by way of a DIS meet.... We're trying to get them to join us on the Magic in June 2008 or July 2009. It all depends on their work schedule. We're off to look at more houses......(actually 4 of the ones we saw yesterday...)

Stacey, tell Jay to take it easy! That's some scary stuff. Kevin had a similar accident just after we had started dating. He was nice and didn't even tell me about it until after the operation, cast, etc.

Kevin asks "but can Jay still dance?"

Virgil, are you helping out with a house instead of paying for a big wedding?

Per the terms of their loan - I can't help.... so I'm here for moral support and my experience in doing this......... I plan on helping with furnishing the place.... still hoping for the elopement to Vegas......

Nick did ask my permission to ask Kristin to marry him.... It was cute - he was so nervous..... of course I said yes... Kristin doesn't know about this yet - he hasn't decided when he is going to ask her!

Beautiful pictures, Mary. Thanks for sharing! You and Mark look so cute with Mickey and Minnie! I definitely want to do the Fort Wilderness Segway (I've done the one at Epcot). :thumbsup2

Rachel graduated from UGA yesterday. :cheer2: Even though none of you have met her, I want to share a picture of her. (especially since she's the inspiration for the first part of my Username!! :))

Congratulations to Rachel on her granduation! She is beautiful!

Good Morning All --- Mary - thanks for sharing - what wonderful memories.....and photos....mine are still in the camera - what else is new.

Ohio Mouse Family, Mark Mary and others in the snow and ice - stay safe and stay warm.

KikiKaren, I keep thinking of your comments last year, on the "melted' snowman that sit in a puddle during the day, or the "dead Santa's" until they get blown up at night....must stop this giggling to myself.

Here is a thought - Christmas memories. When I was a girl, we had the most wonderful sugar plum fairy ornaments...I climed up to the attic and fought loads of dust and roof repairs to find them. the look on Mother's and Sam's faces when I uncovered them - "What on earth, why do you want them?". To me, a few years, decades, ages ago they were beautiful...OK so they are a wee bit old now and need a little paint. Mother and I cannot agree on what color they were. Sam looks as if he would rather put dead twigs from the yard on the tree than these ornaments.....I think I shall start a book - When Christmas Memories Go Bad".

Have a wonderful Monday.

That was TWO years ago... time flies when you spend 3 years yakking with the same group of crazies. I had to laugh... about 1/2 hour before our party on Saturday night, I was out walking the dog... my neighbor (the one with the inflatables that are *just* a bit too close to my yard) is out there with a roll of duct tape, patching up the hole in rudolph... oh please, just put him out of his misery... and Santa and Christmas tree too!!!) I am so tempted to put up a sign in my driveway, with an arrow pointing to them that says "These aren't mine!!!"

I have pink and white Christmas Mouse that sleeps on a silver piece of cheese... at least he USED to be pink and white... now he's brown and spotty, his tail is falling apart, and his cheese is unravelling. Ray would love nothing more than to not see him on the tree. When I was little, it was family tradition to go to Hartford to see the lights at Constitution Plaza, have dinner out, then to G. Fox (now Macy's... like everything else in this world)to see the window displays, pick out an ornament, and visit Santa. I think that's the only ornament that I have from those expedititions...

And I think the "absolutley beautiful sugar plum angels" came from Burdines on a similar trio - and yes, it is now Macy's - sigh!
I actually have two others - white fcrystal frosted balls with real jewels on them.

(Ok so they are really glass studs, but it was years ago and i was a kid - ok?

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday!

Happy Anniversary to those of us who sailed on the 10 day Christmas Cruise. It was 3 years ago today that we set sail. I've given the old thread a bump up with some photos to remember the cruise by. Wish we were sailing today!
