Thanks for the Pixie Dust and Prayers for Lisa!

Lisa did fine last night on the vault. She didn't rotate to that event until the end of the night, so the gym was less crowded then it had been the night before. She did a few "timers" and then flipped 5 in a row. She was thrilled. Her back is still sore, but that didn't stop her from doing a full 4 hour work out last night. Thanks.

Glad to hear Lisa is OK. Five flips sounds awesome!

Mary, thanks for the full report. Can't wait to get there, our time at the parks keeps dwindling but we get some. And we are going to MVMCP on the 19th. Looking forward to it! That's my favorite parade. We always argue about it, I think it changes a bit every year, and my family tells me it is exactly the same.

Glad Lisa is OK - we were concerned....... Hope that the younger athletes are more aware of where they should/shouldn't be....

Glad to hear that she is alright. I must have been asleep last night if you told me.

The family is home so my day off has ended.

It was a great day. Worked all day long doing "chores" and feel great about what I got done. Even book our New Year's Eve event.....we are having a day at the spa. What better way to end the year then with a hot stone massage and a couples ritual bath!!! :cool1:

Guess who we ran into at DTD this afternoon? OhioMinnie and family. What a great surprise!! I don't think I've ever bumped into anyone I knew at Disney before.

Talk about cold outside. We played golf at 3:00 with the boys and it is freezing out there. Might as well be back in NY. I don't think I brought any long sleeve shirts for myself. Had to buy the kids sweat pants at DTD. Brrrr!!! :cold:

We found out that we have 1 more park day on our passes. If you had 1 day to do a park, which one would you do? I need some help here.

Dinner time here. Chat with y'all later.

Why not pick Blizzard Beach? It just seems to fit with the weather. :rotfl:

For me it would definitely be MK. More attractions than any of the other parks.
Animal Kingdom comes in LAST PLACE......and I guess it's a toss up between MGM and Epcot for 2nd place.
Definitely MK....if only to ride Pirates over and over again.

How fun to run into the Mouses!! It's like living in a small community down there....keep an eye out for Mark and Mary!!!

You should be ashamed. Luckily, in your next post you redeemed yourself by booking the spa day. Good man!!

Are these cute, or WHAT? I couldn't wait around for an excuse to use them!

Greetings all! Just came back from watching Illuminations!

For those of you that were on the 10 day guess who we ran into? TKDLisa! We had gone to the DIS meet at Jellyrolls and had just left to head over for Illuminations and she was headed over there. We met on the boardwalk. She looks great and it was wonderful to see her.

You don't know how right you are about that. At least when I'm in NY and it's cold, I'm dressed accordingly. I didn't even bring a long sleeved shirt with me. We mentioned Typhoon Lagoon to the kids and they got all excited. Then I told them that they would have to take their clothes off and go swimming and they realized it was not a good idea. :rotfl2: I thought it was pretty funny.

I'm thinking we might head over to EPCOT to see the "lands" all decorated for the holiday. Is that a good one? Anthony is dying to get me on Space Mountain again. May was the 1st time I went on it. EVER!!!

What happened to Lisa? I think I missed that post?

OK, I think I'm heading to bed now. TAlk to you guys soon.

The next time you come here might change that.. The Finding Nemo stage show there is incredible! This new one is probably the best live show on WDW property now. It's done with mostly actor operated puppets ala The Lion King broadway show, and I'd recommend it as a do not miss here.

Being as we just came from there, not exactly a lot of decorations up in the countries. I'd go further to say there's a noticable lack of decoration everyplace. The cutting down of cast members they've been doing the number of years going back has now fallen to limiting the amount of seasonal decorations they put up all over WDW. In Epcot, Lights of Winter is up, although the 'dancing waters' fountain in Innoventions that has coordinated with it in past years is broken, and the countries have only what they need up to properly frame whatever the interactive event they have going on there. I get a very... minimalistic feeling this year. Even here at the Poly, they only have two rather standard trees up on the two lobby levels of the Great Ceremonial House, some garland, and a little bit of wreath decor at the main entry and the monorail waiting area above, and some string lights and colored lighting at the Luau Cove, absolutely nothing anyplace else.

And on the upside for the F&W fans, all the permanent structures they put up for that festival are open and serving 'Holiday Cheer' which equates to more sample size dishes, some seasonal, some not (the beef stew at Canada is great) along with choice wines/beers, and yes I saw Banfi up for sale in a few places.

Cool! And I LOVE Nemo! Plus they now have EE that I haven't been on...I forgot about that.

How was Lisa? I bet it was great to see her, and what a surprise! You all are bumping into all kinds of friends!

Good morning Cruisers

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday!

Yesterday was another fun day here at WDW. We slept in as we had been up so late the night before. It is cold down here right now, but still much warmer than home! :) We treated ourselves to a room service breakfast and then headed out about 11 to go to Animal Kingdom. Didn't have to wait too long for the bus and we were on our way. Getting off the bus who do we run into but WebmasterRegina.

Our one and only goal at Animal Kingdom was to see the new Nemo show and it was well worth it. We had heard that the line fills up fast but we were lucky and got there early enough that we were near the front of the doors. When we got in and were walking to the far side we saw a center row with two seats right on the end so we grabbed them. Would you believe the couple next to us were from the DIS! Talk about a small world. We didn't even have our lanyards on but I do have a small rubber DIS key chain on my purse. As Mark said the show is fantastic and worth the price.

After the show we headed out of the park and over to MGM. Our goal here was to get the AP passholder Ducky Williams litho. Very cute! Mission accomplished. We had also planned to do a late lunch but didn't have reservations. Lesson learned - December is not as quiet as it used to be especially with the dining plan. Tried to go to Brown Derby and they were booked solid for the day. So we ate at the ABC Commissary where we again ran into a DISer who saw my keychain.

Went back to the room for some down time and then headed back to the Epcot area for the Jellyrolls meet. Our longhouse location is great because it is an easy walk to the the T&T and the monorail. Our original plan was to take the ferry to the Magic Kingdom and then the Boardwalk bus. When we got on the ferry the fireworks were going off at Magic Kingdom and we realized by the time we docked the busses would be mobbed with people leaving. So we got off and took the Epcot monorail then walked over to Jellyrolls from there.

This was our first time at Jellyrolls. There is a cover charge there but Karen had made a deal with them that got those who signed up early 2 for 1 admission. We really didn't even stay for a lot of the show as we got there at 7 and the show starts at 8. We came more to see fellow DISers which we did. Karen gave out Jellyrolls meet buttons and cute glow in the dark wrist bands.

Headed out at 8:15 and back to Epcot. That's when we ran into Lisa. It is amazing running into so many people we know on this trip. Proves to me how blessed we've been with the friends we've made from this board.

Illuminations starts at 9:30 for the holiday season due to the last performance of the CP. Plus there is an extra holiday section at the end with mega fireworks. Loved it and I'm so glad we got to see Illuminations since we had missed it in October. After we headed over to Mouse Gear and sat outside there to let the crowds thin out. We got a great view of the lights of winter and watched and listened to that for a while.

Then to the monorail where we got a car all to ourselves for the ride back. Cool!

Back in the room by 11 pm and to bed we went. Another great day.

We have a party to go to this afternoon and that is the only thing really planned so we will have to see how the rest of the day pans out.

Woo Hoo - a UTOP to start the day! PDFG and all who need it!
