We are going to DHS this coming Sunday, March 8. We have FP+ on that morning for TSMM (of course), Frozen Sing-Along (we are hoping that the FP+ will get us better seats) and then ST (just to use up the other Tier 2 FP+). After all of those (and hopefully Jedi Training) we are going back to our hotel, Beach Club, to enjoy Stormalong Bay. Then back to DHS for dinner at Prime Time (6:35 ADR) and Fantasmic!

My question: After we use our last of three FP+ on ST (12:20 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.), if I go to a kiosk to try to get a fourth FP+, how likely is it that I will be able to get a FP+ for Fantasmic! for that night? It sure would be nice to be able to enjoy our meal at Prime Time (6:35 ADR) knowing that we would be able to bypass the long standby line for Fantasmic! (which starts at 8:30 that evening).

Thanks,

Can not vouch for your date but I do know that on numerous trips Fantasmic was available later in the day.

We actually used it last week .... but know that even with FP+ your seating could be way off to the side. We arrived just a couple minutes after our FP+ window opened and we were in Hades.

We Park Hopped and accomplished the same thing.

We went to MK, and then stopped in HS on our way back to Boardwalk....just to grab a 4th Fantasmic FP+ for later in the evening.

I recall my asking the same question on Disboards and being relieved by the answer.

By the way, if ST is a 'throw away' ride, then stop by the Kiosk at 12:21 and see if a Cast Member can scan you a 4th FP+ for Fantasmic then.

We got a Fantasmic FP, either our 5th or 6th, during peak week at Christmas. I'm guessing you won't have a problem.

There appear to be multi-thousands of F! FP+ available per day.

This is good news. After riding Star Tours, I will walk straight to the kiosks near Muppet Vision, and get FP+ for Fantasmic! Then that evening, I will enjoy my meatloaf and onion rings at Prime Time knowing that we won't have to wait in line for Fantasmic!

You don't have to "wait in line" for Fantasmic! even without a FP.

AND, even WITH a FP+, you should arrive at the F! entrance 40 minutes, or earlier, before show time.

We got a FP for F! As our 7th (maybe even 8th) FP in October. We were on our way to the show when we came upon an open kiosk and thought we'd just check, and got it. We passed the standby line, which was lengthy.

Thanks for this information ... would you explain it in more detail, please? We have never done Fantasmic! before so we are not familiar with how the standby line and/or FP+ lines work ...

For the first (or only) F! show of the evening...
The gates to the theater are opened to guests about an hour (or more) before show time.

Guests without a F! FP+ or the F! Dining Plan simply walk to the theater (its a long walkway) and choose a seat in the right "half" of the theater, sit down and wait for show time.

Guests with a F! FP+ simply walk to the theater (its via a parallel long walkway) and choose a seat in the FP section (left "half" of the theater,) sit down and wait for show time.

Guests with a F! Dining Plan voucher simply walk to the theater (its via a parallel long walkway) and choose a seat in the Dining Plan section (center section of the theater,) sit down and wait for show time.

Guests who plan well, should show up 40 minutes, or more, before show time to get a better choice of seats.

As show time approaches, ALL of the seating drops out of "reserved" and is opened to ALL guests who are late in arriving.
THAT is when a "line" (it's really just a major back-up of show-moving guests) can appear.

So help me out here ... what exactly is the benefit of having a FP+ for Fantasmic!?

If you arrive EARLY, not so much benefit.
(That's at least one of the reasons that FP+ is generally so available for F!)

I can say that a FP+ for F! can be more beneficial on a really busy night and/or for the SECOND F! performance of the evening.
At the SECOND F! show, the FP+ section is the very center section(s) of the theater.

And, there certainly CAN be a long "line" (holding area, really) for guests of the SECOND F! show. (And, even the guests WITH a FP+ for the second show can be stuck in that "holding area" as the theater is being cleaned of clutter from the first performance.)

I would never schedule a F! FP as one of your initial 3. We just got it because it was there and you know...why not? Lol

My initial three FP+ for DHS that morning are TSMM; Frozen Sing-Along; and ST. After ST, we are planning on going back to our hotel, the Beach Club, to enjoy Stormalong Bay (we might do the 1:00 Beauty and the Beast Stage Show, if we can fit it in). After the pool, we return to DHS in the evening for dinner at Prime Time (6:35 ADR) followed by Fantasmic! So the plan that I am proposing is to get my fourth FP+ for Fantasmic! as soon as we are done with our third FP+ (ST), since the only things we will be doing in between ST and Fantasmic! are pool and dinner. Does this plan make sense?

Thanks,

I had never thought of getting an FP+ for F! as an extra, because I thought they would be gone. We are thinking of seeing the 2nd show after spending the afternoon at Epcot WS. We will be at DHS in the AM. Maybe getting a FP+ before we head to Epcot could be useful. Thanks for the info.
