Question on the electrical outlets on the Magic in the staterooms.

I assume this is US voltage? Can anyone confirm? Also, if we were to get a power strip for charging several items, any guidance on the outlet and should I assume 2 plug or 3 plug. Anyone know? I'm asking to validate what to buy or bring. Hoping someone has first hand experience on this board to help me.

People who did not get docs- don't worry. I did not get mine for the TA part until the last few days. When I called Disney they told me that "we are in the system"and we really didn't need the docs to board the ship. I know it feels better with them in your hand.

Sorry, when I answered, I didn't notice you were from UK!

Ditto what Happy Goofy said. I don't even use those documents, I present the signed ones I printed online, although I do use the luggage tags. Plus the booklet is cute so even though I don't use it at check in I'm glad I have it!

Definitely US voltage. I think they're three pronged, but don't depend on my memory. I seem to recall plugging the laptop right into the wall outlet, but let's wait to double check.

The first cruise we brought a power surge strip because there aren't many outlets in the room.

And nothing near the beds - I use a breathing machine and had to stretch it from the desk area.

Heading off to Nashville now for our noon flight to MCO.

If I remember correctly - there are two 3-prong outlets at the desk area and one behind the TV. We brought a power strip with us last year so that we could plug in multiple things at once I also brought along an extension cord but ended up not using that. There is no outlet in the bathroom either -- except for the razor one? (I think) So, if you're bringing along a hairdryer - you'll be drying your hair at the desk area

I emailed them earlier on and will hopefully get a reply later on today. I had asked them to sent the cruise documents to my work address. Where I live, you need multiple fobs to get anywhere near the mail boxes so they can't even leave a card if they tried to deliver something. Royal Mail has access, but courier services have not. I know in 2008 my cruise documents came by UPS and last year through Fedex. I was just really worried that they tried to deliver them to my home address after all.

I got a reply from Tracy, DCL have said they were sent on the 23rd March (at least ours were, I'm guessing everyone elses were sent around the same time). So we've got 2 weeks for them to get here, with Easter I suspect they were held up a bit. I'm glad they have been sent at least

I had an email from Kelsie at DU explaining that DCL have started to send cruise documents via USPS in the USA and that mine were sent that way by accident as well. DCL has reissued them now and they will be sent to me by Fedex and should be here early next week.

Mine were sent USPS - hopefully they will still get here You'd think they would mark a foreign address, the info booklet came here ok via Fed-Ex.

Oh well, if we have to get luggage tags at the port that is ok, we're making our own way there anyway.

Hopefully I will be home from work early enough tomorrow to see the Magic start her journey on the port webcams. It will be a little bittersweet. I am delighted that I can finally say "The Magic is on her way to come and get us". I will probably be just a little bit upset though as I was originally booked on the Eastbound Transatlantic, but had to cancel just before the PIF date as I had some leave issues. Still, if I had gone on that cruise, I would have missed out cruising with this wonderful group of people.

Got to sunny Florida safely this afternoon after a short delay at the airport. We were in the jetway and they asked if there was a doctor or nurse present. Really, I'm the only one? Did not make us arrive late, though.

This is our first time to arrive at Port Canaveral the day before - missed seeing the ship in port (no one else there, either - I guess all the cruise lines use the same days so the Port Authority workers can be best utilized).

We're in the UK too, ours arrived by FedEx just before Easter. Although we weren't in the first time to collect and the note said that the package was being returned to sender Suffice to say I was on the phone pretty quick trying to make sure they weren't.

Ok: long pants, long sleeved shirts,shoes that go with long pants, short sleeved shirts, capris,shoes that go with capris,sweaters, jackets, pj's,unmentionables, dinner clothes, shoes that go with dinner clothes-it's just way too much!! Is anyone else overwhelmed with clothes? and I'm not the fashion princess in our group-I just want to blend in and be comfortable-what can I sacrifice?

I think shoes is one of the main areas where we feel a need to overdo. I am just bringing a pair of sandals for the ship, pair of walking shoes (which I'll wear on the plane) for tours, and a pair of all purpose shoes for dinner clothes (all of which will pretty much cover the shoes anyhow.)

I agree. We'll be doing a lot of walking.

And I love shoes.

I told the kids, one suitcase each, due to charge for the second on Brit Air. So it'll be difficult for us, I think. Though we always over pack.

Speaking of shoes...I really am having a tough time. Because I know I have to bring two "walking" type pairs, I can't wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row for touring or my ankles start to hurt (weird?). So that is two. Then flip flops, because, well, that is obvious. And black heels to go with my formal. And my ridiculously impractical leopard heels that I love. That is 5! The smart thing to do would be to cut out the leopard heels. But I'm not smart
